Angelina Jolie on ‘Larry King’
Angelina Jolie will be on Larry King Live this Monday with The Good Shepherd co-star Matt Damon and director Robert De Niro. Here’s a little preview:
Larry King:: Are you gonna get married?
Angelina Jolie :: No…
LK :: I wish you lots of luck. Someone said you’re planning a Christmas wedding in South Africa.
AJ :: [giggles] No… but thank you for your support if I was. But I’m not.LK :: You sold the pictures of your baby, right?
AJ :: We did for charity, yes.
LK :: Oh, it went to charity? And the money?
AJ :: Yeah. [The paparazzi] were gonna get that picture. They’re gonna get pictures of my kids unfortunately no matter what we do, so we chose to control it and give the money to charity and not paparazzi.
Angelina also addressed how Brad and she will handle raising kids as movie stars: “As we get older, maybe we’ll do less films. We’ll be less focused on [films] as our children hit their early teens or at times when it’s really, really on them. So this hopefully is as bad as it’s going to get for us. And we don’t raise our kids in Hollywood. They don’t go to sets every day. They travel the world and do many, many other things. So hopefully they don’t think this is just what their parents do for a living. They know many other things about who we are. … They’re restricted by they have a lot of other blessings. And like every parent, you just do the best you can with whichever situation you have.”
Larry King Live with Angie, Matt, and Robert airs Monday, Dec. 18 @ 9PM ET/PT on CNN. Watch the video preview here.

Golden Globe noms unveiled
Mel Gibson’s “Apocalypto,” “Dreamgirls,” “The Departed,” and “Babel” among film nominees.
Susan King, Times Staff Writer
December 14, 2006
Mel Gibson’s drunken, anti-semetic tirade didn’t appear to hinder his ability to earn a Golden Globe nomination Thursday as his ulta-violent drama “Apocalypto” earned a nod from the Hollywood Foreign Press Assn.
The film, which is in Mayan, earned a best foreign film nomination along with Clint Eastwood’s Japanese language “Letters from Iwo Jim,” an intimate look at the World War II battle from the Japanese perspective. Other nominees included Germany’s “Lives of Others,” Mexico’s “Pan’s Labyrinth” and Spain’s “Volver.”
In the best supporting actor for film, Ben Affleck was nominated for his role as TV’s fated “Superman” in “Hollywoodland.” Other nominees included Eddie Murphy as an ill-fated R&B singer in “Dreamgirls,” Jack Nicholson as a colorful Irish mobster in “The Departed,” Brad Pitt as a husband who desperately attempts to seek help for his wounded wife in “Babel” and Mark Wahlberg as a revenge seeking Boston cop, also in “The Departed.”
Others nominations were still pending early Thursday morning.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. Dec 14, 2006 (AP)— The multinational ensemble drama “Babel” led Golden Globe contenders Thursday with seven nominations including best dramatic picture and acting honors for Brad Pitt and Rinko Kikuchi.
Mel Gibson’s bloody epic “Apocalypto” and Clint Eastwood’s World War II saga “Letters from Iwo Jima” were nominated for foreign language Golden Globes Thursday, potentially boosting their prospects for the upcoming Academy Awards.
Under Globe rules “Apocalypto” and “Letters from Iwo Jima” were eligible only in the foreign language category, not the best picture category.
Jack Nicholson and Mark Wahlberg of “The Departed,” Cate Blanchett for “Notes on a Scandal” and Jennifer Hudson and Eddie Murphy of “Dreamgirls” were among supporting acting nominees.
The musical penguin tale “Happy Feet,” the talking autos comedy “Cars” and the spooky children’s flick “Monster House” were nominated for best animated film of 2006.
Also nominated for best dramatic picture: the Robert Kennedy story “Bobby,” the mob tale “The Departed,” the suburban drama “Little Children” and the royalty-in-crisis “The Queen.”
Film and TV nominees for the 64th annual Globes were being announced in a ceremony at the Beverly Hilton.

I am happy for Brad. Let’s pray he gets the Oscar nod too. Best wishes to the Jolie-Pitt family.
YAY YAY YAY !!!!
Congratulation Brad :D
why is ben affleck in the best supporting category> ????
wasnt that movie about his character. ODD
Y’all I feel like we’re going to deal with the brunt of another “boom” like we did on the night of TGS’s premiere. But don’t worry, I raided Mary-Kate Olsen’s closet and I took all her ponchos so we’re not going to have pieces of brains all over us….although I feel kind of bad because I thought all those ponchos were potato sacks. We all make mistakes. :) This has been such a stellar year for this family!
