I love Angie because she’s very honest, you don’t need to second guess what she’s saying. She says what she means, she means what she says. Brad really loves this woman because he’s not trying to take anything away from her identity and Angie is very appreciative of him. I just read the article where she said I love Brad very much but please don’t tell him.

Do you know how much I LOVE that Brad told her to just be herself and do the interview as she’s always done, being herself and not having to censor herself? All those who were saying that she should not have done this interview I disagree. I love that she did it and now reading all of it, I love her more than ever. She is a firecracker and you never know what she is going to do or say next just like brad said. He will never get bored with her ever.

_____________________________________

when did brad said this firecracker thing? sorry ….

I love the interviewer as he is going back in time and breaking things down, as how Angie viewed Brad and his marriage, showing the purest of this whole love a affair.

Haven’t read all this thread yet but I’m getting a strong feeling that Babel will lead the nominations again, even beating out the overhyped Dreamgirls, for the Oscars with an upset win by director Alejandro Inarritu. Scorsese is like Spielberg. For some reason he never wins and people will be tired of Eastwood even by the Golden Globes. Eastwood will cancel himself out in the Globes so Inarritu has a good shot at the Globes as well.

lay off that look will you!

I am not a native speaker so I don’t know what to call it: a surprised look, or something like that… why do you keep giving that look to the camera?? you are a good looking man, a good actor. stop that look you brad!! you DO NOT need it. just try to be who you are. do some meditation before you meet all those paps. relax!!!

Firecracker thing - he said it when they were promoting M&MS in Mexico.

Jolie has not given a lenghty personal interview since she and Brad have been together, and when i bring this up she says, ” I mentioned that last night to Brad. I said, ‘I’m a little concerned. I just haven’t done this, having to represent another person.’Usually I just represent myself and I don’t worry about it, because I don’t care how bold I am. People can think anything they want about me if it makes their time at the checkout counter go a little quicker. I’m all for killing time in the supermarket. But Brad said, ‘ Well don’t change a thing about the way you’ve always done it. Just relax and don’t worry.’”

This comes as a huge relief. A couple of years ago, when i stuttered and stumbled over a personal question, Jolie looked at me in the eye and said, “You can ask me anything” When i remind her of that , she tells me that it’s still the case though i can feel that she is being more cautious, a little self-conscious. I plunge right in and ask the obvious question: What happened?

“Brad was a huge surprise to me,” she says. “I, like, most people, had a very distant impression of him from …. the media.” She laughs heartily. “I’m just as guilty!” And then she wades in, tentative at first, and begins to explain how their relationship evolved. “I think we were both the last two people who were looking for a relationship. I certainly wasn’t. I was quite content to be a single mom with Mad. And i didn’t know much about exactly where Brad was in his personal life. But it was clear he was with his best friend, someone he loves and respects. And so we were both living, I suppose very full lives.

“Because of the film we ended up being brought together to do all these crazy things, and i think we found this strange friendship and partnership that kind of suddenly just happened. I think a few months in I realized, God, I can’t wait to get to work. Whether it was shooting a scene or arguing about a scene or gun practice or dance class or doing stunts-anything we had to do with each other, we just found a lot of joy in it together and a lot of real teamwork. We just became kind of a pair. And it took until really, the end of the shoot for us, I think, to realize that it might mean somehthing more thaan we;d earlier allowed ourselves to believe. And both knowing that the reality of that was a big thing, something, that was going to take a lot of serious consideration.”

Brad looks like someone dragged him out of their a$$!! His days are over! He may get some props for Babel, but that will be it. If either of them does well, it will be Angelina. They’ve made their bed, pardon the pun….

I’m feeling so giddy after that wonderful “return of Angelina” interview that I’m gonna break my rule of ignoring denial dwellers like yourself to say “HA!”

Hopefully your not employed as a fortune teller because if you are, you might wanna start thinking of another profession, and one that your paycheck isn’t depended on Brad Pitt and/or Angelina Jolie becoming passe. Won’t happen.

You’ve got a better chance of becoming Madonna’s next adoptee.

Kier Says:

“She sure is an old hag not to mention a ***** sluut ,I live that CNN poll that say only 27% of people respect them as a couple, that what I thougt the loonies on this board only represent the whoores who sleep around. LOL …..”

Kier, you need a “spell checker” and an elementary grammar lesson, the least. What you wrote didn’t make sense. But then, you might just be a 4 year old, are you? But seriously, get a dictionary and check yourself so as not to be “LOL”…..geez….

Isn’t it great? Angie’s back and I don’t care what anyone says about her anymore because to me, she is a very refreshing person in Hollywood. And I just love that Brad knows that and doesn’t want to change her. Oh man, I love them.

Jolie seems almost relieved to be talking about their relationshiop. ” Not as exciting as what a lot of people would like to believe,” she says. “We spent a lot of time contemplating and thinking and talking about what we both wanted in life and realized that we wanted very, very similar things, And then we just continued to take time, We remained very very good friends- with this realization for a long time. And then life developed in a way where we could be together, where it felt like something we would do, we should do..”

When i ask her what Brad is like, she says, “He’s private. He’s got a wicked sense of humor. He’s a real artist. He’s very content to just be alone in a room and create and draw and read and get lost in all of that. He’s a great challenge to me. We push each other to be better, even if it’s just a better bike rider or a better pilot. We ‘re constantly in competition with each other. He’s somebody I admire based on the way he lives his life. And that’s why I’m with him. He’ll probably read that and laugh. We still have this funny thing: we were so used to not being together that when i was adopting Zahara and going through the follow-up home study, the woman said, ‘How long have you been together? And can you explain your relationship? And she’s obviously not a reporter. She’s just a woman doing her job. But we both got hysterical. We couldnt answer the questions. We were like two idiots. ‘What do you mean? Were not… We’ve never had a …’ We’re like two great friends, and if we talk seriously about the relationship, It just seems odd. I mean , on occassion we are obviously capable of being very adult with each other.

Angie loves to hug and snuggle her children and also Brad. I think Cliniqua should post Angie’ 2001 interview. In it, Angie said she could not hug strangers but snuggling her husband (BBT at the time) was ok. This is why she can not touch strangers and she does not have much lovers.

————————————-

Hey Nana! You must be talking about the LK interview…yeah she had to explain herself to Larry. He was like wha?! You don’t like to be touched?! It’s kind of the reason she is NOT promiscuous. She doesn’t like people touching her when there is NOTHING there, nothing behind it. It’s the worst thing for Angelina. Which is why even a long long time ago, I briefly thought about her for Brad Pitt, fantasy matchmaker that I am. He seemed like such a sensitive caring and loving man - supportive to a fault (the fault being when he was with women who didn’t deserve his support, and didn’t appreciate who he really was) It seemed, particularly back in his pre-Maniston merger days that it was just a natural thing for him to want to be devoted and intense about the woman in his life. Paltry screwed him over so bad, that he fell back on the cynic and the pessimist and rebounded with Maniston. But that guy was always there - it made me wonder if the therapist that he was seeing during his marriage to man, showed him the light…like dude, you rebounded buddy. Anyway, I say all this to say, they are cut from the same cloth - Brad & Angelina…intense, loving people who are naturally devoted and supportive of each other in equal measure….and who love being in love.

No matter if I have at times wondered why she said something, or didn’t agree, I have never EVER not loved her shoot from the hip candor. It’s refreshing, it’s Angelina. I can’t even think of another person in her generation like that. Lauren Bacall and Katherine Hepburn are the only people who quickly come to mind as being who they were and if you didn’t like it, tough.

The way I see it, Brad has a 2:1 chance of getting a golden globe for one of his movies for best picture. Babel v. The Departed v. Queen. Departed, being mainly an entertainment sort of flick (from the critics), I don’t see winning. So it’s Queen, but I don’t see that either because it’s not as popular as Babel…and this is the Golden Globes after all. However, they have tried to go independent the last several years, so…

They are not married, and Jolie says they have no plans to be. “We have both been married before, so it’s not marriage that’s necessarily kept some people together. We are legally bound to our children, not to each other, and i think that’s the most important thing.” Jolie herself still seems a bit surprised by the turns her life has taken. “Yeah, life has moved very quickly,” she says. “Brad and I have these moments where we look around and suddenly realized we have three kids. The day Shiloh came home, we were in Africa and we had just gotten back from the hospital. We looked around at three sleeping shildren and each other and thought, My God!” she laughs, “Here we are! This is amazing! Couldnt be happier! But… wow. We can’t even figure out how to get them all in the car. ”

It was the children, she says, that really sped up things. “Especially Maddox,” says Jolie. “There was a coming together of him and Brad. It’s a big thing to bring together of a child and a father. It had never crossed my mind that Mad was going to need a father-certainly not that it would be this man i just met. Until, of course, I got to know Brad and realized he is naturally just a wonderful father. And we left a lot of it up to Mad, and he took his time and the made the decision one day.”

How did he express himself? I ask.

“He just out of the blue called him Dad,” she says. “It was amazing. We were playing with cars on the floor of a hotel room, and we both heard it and didn’t say anything and just looked at each other. And then we kind of let it go on and then he just continued to do it and that was it. So that was probably the most defining moment, when he decided that we would all be a family.” By this time Jolie had already set in motion the process of adopting another child, and even though it was her signature on Zahara’s adoption papers, “we both saw her picture in a file on the same day, and we both went to Ethiopia t see her, and we both had the same fear because she was sick at the time, and we both made the decision that no matter what, we were going to look after her. It evolved in that way where he committed to them as a man commits to a child; it just happens emotionally when you make that internal decision, and you just behave accordingly. He’s just naturally there for them.”

Hellow to all fans and kaway to my kababayans.

Life is so great at Bamzville that whatever haters/naysayers throws it just bounces back…….there are so many we should all be thankful for.

Santa luv, you are a God send!! That was very kind of you to painstakingly type all that. Muahhhh!!

I just love Angie. So candid and so true to herself. Love her or hate her, she certainly does evoke strong emotions from people. She’s a rarity in tinsel town.

GO ANGIE!!!!!! @ 12/15/2006 at 1:05 am

Angelina is the only young actress today that OTHER actresses young and old are fascinated with. I imagine, she’s the only one that Liz, Meryl, Jane, Vanessa and Diane want to know what she said, and what she’s doing. It’s like that byline in Maxim said, she’s one in a million. There won’t be another.

Hey - anyone know who’s hosting the Oscars this year? Is it Ellen? If so, I’m kind of relieved, as she isn’t known for the kind of vicious nasty burns a male comic host might lob Brad & Angie’s way, as they’re sitting out in the audience. I’m sure she’ll have a zinger — but it won’t be like Steve Martin, or Chris Rock - ya know? I’ll never forget Steve Martin calling Russell Crowe a womanizer and implying he schtupped everything on two legs (that whole Meg Ryan biz had just gone down) - and russell was sitting right there with the woman he’d eventually marry, long time on & off gf Danielle Spencer. Crowe looked like he wanted to kill Steve. Another doozy one year was Chris Rock, insulting Jude Law, and questioning why he even got jobs…Sean penn came out and retorted, as he’s a friend of Jude’s (I think was at that time shooting with him in Louisiana in ‘All the King’s Men’) - he was pissed.

So thankfully, B&A will be just fine w/ Ellen.

BEHOLD THE PUNCH IN THE GUT FOR ANUSTON:

When I ask about the media maelstrom that resulted from their decision, and what it looked like from her perspective, she leans back on the couch that she’s sitting on and throws back her head. “Oh, God. Um” Long, uncharacteristic pause. “I’m only being cautious because it involves so many people.” She bites her lower lip. “I suppose that is the thing that is most difficult. We all go through these things in our lives-children, divorces, marriages, different relationships- and anybody can have an opinion about what is right or who’s evil or what they think is really scretly happening. But the reality is that it didnt help anybody involved - even if it was the person you thought you were taking sides with-TO EXPLOIT IT SO MUCH. But that being said, we’re all adults and we have come out the other end of it and all of us are good, stable, clear thinking people who care about each other. So that’s the good news: that it didn’t cause further unrest between the relationships where it really matters for the future.”

Of course, the elephant in the room here with us is Jennifer Aniston. When I finally find the nerve to ask if they have ever talked or met, Jolie says, at first, no. But then, a minute later she interrupts me. “But… so… you asked if i have ever met Jennifer and I said no. I did, but it was not a proper meeting. We’ve like, passed each other and said hi briefly, shook hands. But not a real sit-down-and-talk kind of meeting.”

Do you imagine that happening at some point?

“That would be her decision, and I would welcome it.”

It’s at this point in time, I’d like to point out the obvious, and that is…that Maddox is a genius.
