Despite this reflexive bit of tough girl cynicism, it is abundantly clear that Jolie is in a very different place than she was when i met her for dinner at a hotel in Montreal five years ago. As she told me before, and reiterated, “The reason i was so lost is because I didn’t have a sense of a place to put my fight and my passion.” When i ask her how she thinks she’s changed since we first met, she takes a minute to get it right. “I’m committed to the future now,” she says. “I’m committed to life. I think definitely before my son, I was a little nihilistic. But once i adopted Mad I knew i was never going to be intentionally self-desctructive again. I’m starting to be able to see being 50 years old with the kids graduating from high school- though in my mind we’re in the middle of a desert or a jungle with tutors and some local friends.

Back on the airstrip in the desert a week earlier, I catch a glimpse of this gentler, more loving side of Jolie. Just after she has safely landed her plane and is told that Pitt is on his way, there is a palpable shift in mood. Everyone is all atwitter: Brad is coming… Brad is coming. We are standing around, several hundred yards from the runway, when a craft comes into view. As Pitt lands their other plane, an eight-seat Cessna Caravan- the family minivan to Jolie’s sports car– we are all asked to stay put as Jolie, still in her white linen suit and heels, begins a long, dramatic walk alone to meet Pitt at his plane. As she gets closer, the propeller kicks up dust and she waves to him in the cockpit with one hand while holding her hair with the other. Suddenly, the door opens, stairs are lowered, and Pitt scurries down and nearly scoops her up. He hugs her tight and then reaches down and grabs her ass. As they walk back toward the group, talking and laughing the whole way, Jolie has wrapped an arm around Pitt’s torso, and she has her head on his chest, almost nestled into his armpit. It is the first time i notice how small and delicate she actually is. And then, as they get closer, I notice something else: Jolie had her other arm wrapped around him, too. She is holding on with both hands.

Santa Claus, thanks for posting those interviews. I don’t need to read the articles anymore I’ll just be staring at those gorgeous photos of Angelina when I get the magazine.

Honestly…while reading, I was like melting.
I really love you people.

So happy that Brad was nominated , and both Babel and The Departed were leading in the number of nomination. I hope Brad win the best supporitng actor, and The Departed win the best picture. Then we will be seeing Brad going to the podium twice, thanking Angie and his family. Wow !!!

My take on the adoption of Z thing, I think the process was quite long, around 6-7 months, so she probably started filling up application just after they finish MMS, and had the follow-up when they did reshoots. She must have been discussing it with Brad and both have been looking at photos of potential babies. Because she said, Brad and her saw the pic of Z. I think the follow-up interview was made in March during reshoots, and he and Brad were not that intimate yet. I also believe that Mad called Brad Dad while they were doing the W photoshoot around end of March or probably earlier.

And I think they were only physically involved after that during the easter weekend that they spent together and definitely they were already sleeping when they were in Kenya.

Good morning..fellow fans.

First, a huge congrats to the cast of Babel and the departed and especially Brad. I don’t really care about award ceremonies, but this year you can bet I’ll be watching.

Santa Luv - I love you. lol. Thank you for the Vogue Interview. I’m left amazed once again after reading Angelina’s interview. She reaffirms for me why I’m a such a huge fan of hers. This woman is a rarity in this world and I am always left inspired and wowed after reading her interviews. As usualy, she doesn’t fail to have the same effect on me again. All I can say is I love her honesty and the fact that she always remains true to herself. And she’s funny too. I wish her and her family the best always. Happiness comes to those who don’t sit around asking for it. My instincts tell me that Angie and Brad are going to be together for a long time…and my instincts haven’t failed me so far. ;)

brad is soooo hot, undoubtly he is no more that hollywood golden boy he used to be, there’s something about him now. guess angie perhaps…

A week after the photo shoot in the desert I find myself back at the same suite in Beverly Hills. Jolie seems agitated and looks pale. She has a cold, it turns out, and is clutching a wad of Kleenex. In a matter of days, she will be in India speaking in Mariane Pearl’s accent.
