In related news, Angelina says she and Brad Pitt plan on having more kids — through adoption.
Angelina Jolie says she and boyfriend Brad Pitt want more children, and will likely adopt their next child to try to balance their “mixed-race family.”
“I want Mad (Maddox) to know that as our family grew and we all came together, we didn’t just start having children, biological children,” the 31-year-old actress said Thursday on ABC’s Good Morning America.
“Yes, we have Shiloh and it’s been a wonderful experience, but we want to find another brother or sister in the world for our family.”
She added: “I’m on the pill.”
Jolie said it’s important to balance how their children perceive their family.

I really like Angelina’s honesty and candor, and her vulnerability when it comes to Brad. I also love it when they were described as laughing and talking as they walked — it is always nice to be friends with your lover.
I hope all of us can ignore the haters — no matter how they try to hijack the thread. Let them wallow in FF and PHilton and try to console each other — we are enjoying ourselves!!!

I completely agree, no matter what the few haters say about this family, and Brad and Angie as individuals, they are in love, HAPPY, living their lives to the fullest, and have ALL THE PEOPLE THAT MATTER, on their side. They are hot, and they are the worlds most sought after couple and family,,,

I love how Brad and Angelina are taking control of what is being said about them. For more than a year, the media and the public were allowed to spout off on these two’s lives. They were accused of all kinds of things and they kept silent. They did the classy thing and continued to live their lives. The media manipulations and the Huvaniston manipulations didn’t help the situation.
First Brad and now Angelina have finally come out and defined their own lives. They have taken over the reigns of what is being said about them and finally crushed so many of the lies being printed about them week after week.
They talked about their love unashamedly so and showed that they can’t be broken by people’s words. Not only that, they have managed to not become cynical about people or life. They still laugh, they still make jokes, and they still have an optimistic look on life. That is amazing considering the experience they have had last year. These two are overall good people and whenever two forces like these come together, there are bound to be fireworks. Ultimately their love has overpowered any hate people might have for them.
There is so much love in this family. I adore them, and I am optimistic that there will be good and long lasting of this family.

I do love that this interviewer, who has interviewed both Brad’s first wife and Angelina, mulitiple times, puts it in black and white for the Aniston fans:

Now I can’t find it, but I read on one of the trade sites that they’re expecting this issue of VOGUE to break sales records. I’m usually good about bookmarking, but I remember saying “oh, I’ll remember it.” I clear my cookies/history throughout the day and so I can’t look there. Anyway, it will pop up I’m sure. I haven’t bought a VOGUE in years, and you better believe I’m getting this one.

Oh and before you get started, I came to the site because I was EXCITED to see the article. But it did the opposite for me. I went from fan to disbeliever. Sorry, but this is idiotic. Of course she has to promote her movies by promoting herself. THAT is how it works…that’s why Leno, Letterman, Oprah, and a kajillion magaiznes and infotainment shows are in business. Angelina knows that the only reason she can inspired so many people is because her J-O-B has enabled her to do so. People listen to her precisely because she is an actress and famous — if she were a nurse or schoolteacher talking about her job at the UN, who would listen — it’s unfortunate, but true. She has said this time and time again. So it stands to reason she talks when she has movies to promotes, and when she gets asked questions her life, she answers.
What would be ridiculous is to, like Maniston, haul off and start talking about her life when it isn’t prudent or necessary yet.

I have to say, if I wanted someone to write about me and to portray me in a non-judgemental, candid way, I’d ask Jonathan van Meter to write about me… I think his article about la Jolie was beautifully written and portrays her in a lovely way - as a human being aware of her position and standing and adulthood, and yet nearly childlike, wide-eyed and simple in her needs from life. I admire her even more after this interview and find her refreshingly natural.

Good actors don’t promote their movies by disclosing their private lives. That’s not promoting movies. That’s promting herself because she’s afraid that people won’t see the movie without knowing her private life. You don’t see Damon or the director doing what she’s doing! She’s just disclosing everything because for whatever reason she want’s the public to know that she’s in love again.

I like the interview…some of the comments I was a bit confused on timeline issues, but I think QQQQ’s explanation of it is most likely correct.
As I said yesterday, I don’t agree with Brad and Angie on everything (the marriage issue, and some others), but I admire that they’re happy, they’re in love and they’re living their lives on their own terms.
I also got the feeling from seeing Angie’s GMA interview that although she says they’d adopt next, that they probably will also have more bio kids, but with both, her tone and what she says sounds to me like they’re going to wait until the others are a bit older.
These two are together for the LONG HAUL and its clear that they’ve been thoughtful about their future.

I think its interesting to see how you guys react to it… she is trying to set records straight I’m sure because of the media and people (like us) judging her at face value… there’s a lot of talk of her needing help etc and maybe she does have issues, but God, by the look of this thread, if i was to judge everyone here on the same basis, there could be a lot of lucrative business for therapists here alone! True That - the difference between you and me is that I WAS A FAN! I just feel like something is off in a very planned way. I feel like this was a huge rebound for both of them and they are burning the fire at both ends. Brad has a history of being with rebellious and unstable girls, before Aniston, but JA has her own share of closeted issues (drug use, etc) and he found excitement in a different person. Unfortunately, AJ sucked onto him because he has the ability to bring her back into the limelight. I think she loves him dearly, I do. But I think it was love and lust at first sight because he gets everyone in a frenzy (even more than her). As she states they are competitive. I hear terms she uses to describe their relationship - competition, lack of trust, doesn’t like to cuddle, silent figure. . . and I wonder how many children they will have to keep introducing to keep the flame alive.

Its not abnormal for a woman whose own father left the family at an early age. She said she trusts that Brad wouldn’t hurt her….and that they are in competition and that they’re growing and changing and that she’s LEARNING to trust is not an unhealthy thing, it is, in fact, probably the most healthy thing you can do in a relationship.
If you read between the lines of what Brad has said w/ regards to Aniston, not continuing to grow and change and learn together is probably a big part of why their coupling FAILED.
Angie isn’t any unhealthier or more abnormal than anyone else in the world, INCLUDING Jennifer Aniston. in fact, Angie is probably more so because at least she’s HONEST, OPEN, FORTHRIGHT, and CONSCIOUS of her trust issues.
Public figures do a lot to persuade our thoughts - alas, the history of politics and celebrities. . .
Revealing ones issues is a tool but it is dangerous because you are allowing everyone to believe that they have a piece of you. . .as if you are now in on their life, a best friend. . . you have to be careful with what you give because it is actually very little. So people grasp on to it and look for consistency. You know, people like Leo Di can have impact in his passions because he doesn’t have so much baggage with his personal life. He’s not constantly under scrutiny and he’s private. So when he has a cause, people listen. I’m not convinced people listen to Angie - I think they are too caught up in her appearance and her issues for them to hear her.

If the public didn’t care there wouldn’t be ANGIE’S PREGNANT ON EVERY TABLOID. If you want a real slice of the game, how about you glance at what all the “TRUE FANS” are responding with and what they have to say. Then you can get an idea of the influence AJ gives to society. If she had some impact, then her fans maybe would be talking about Darfur or Unicef or the Cambodian Rainforest Dilemmas but instead they say things like “SHE’S SO HOT, THEY ARE SO IN LOVE, THEY ROCK!!!” My original intent was to say - no actually I don’t get any of that from the article. It was not impressive and she didn’t do anything to intrigue me. In fact, she disturbed me with her looks and thoughts.
Everyone is all atwitter: Brad is coming… Brad is coming. We are standing around, several hundred yards from the runway, when a craft comes into view. As Pitt lands their other plane, an eight-seat Cessna Caravan- the family minivan to Jolie’s sports car– we are all asked to stay put as Jolie, still in her white linen suit and heels, begins a long, dramatic walk alone to meet Pitt at his plane. As she gets closer, the propeller kicks up dust and she waves to him in the cockpit with one hand while holding her hair with the other. Suddenly, the door opens, stairs are lowered, and Pitt scurries down and nearly scoops her up. He hugs her tight and then reaches down and grabs her ass. As they walk back toward the group, talking and laughing the whole way, Jolie has wrapped an arm around Pitt’s torso, and she has her head on his chest, almost nestled into his armpit. It is the first time i notice how small and delicate she actually is. And then, as they get closer, I notice something else: Jolie had her other arm wrapped around him, too. She is holding on with both hands.

I just read the whole article and I love this family even more. The funny thing is that you can tell that she is being honest, but of course haters are going to believe what they want to which is great because Angie herself said that she really doesnt give a damn.
She and her family is living the best live for them and no matter what people are going to talk *hit but thats not gonna stop them from doing what they want.
I couldnt imagine Brad being this happy, doing what he loves with X, and that divorce was the best thing that happend to the both of them. He is so happy and being himself.

Up until 2 days ago, I haven’t posted here in months, but read most threads….and while there are a lot of those “types” of comments saying that they love BP and AJ and them together, you must have missed the posts with hundreds of comments that go on about everything and anything including AJ and BP’s charitable issues, politics, and things that have nothign to do with the two of them, that are very in depth and intelligent.
Bringing up JA does need to stop. I only did so as a comparison point, because I couldn’t think of another actress who discussed personal issues and also had a movie to promote…but I just did think of one. Hillary Swank - her Vanity Fair cover when she was promoting The Black Dahlia earlier this fall….she discussed her own and her soon to be ex husband’s VERY personal issues.
If you used to be a fan of AJ, I don’t understand why you wouldn’t embrace this happy, bright, shining woman that she’s grown into. I’ve looked at old pictures of her, seen old video, and while she was always open, honest, and forthright, I have NEVER EVER seen her with the kind of happiness, peace, and contentment as she has now. She GLOWS and thats because of Brad Pitt, her children, and their life together. Anyone who has EVER been a fan of this womans like I have since 1999 should look at her now and say WOW, look at how much she’s grown and in a POSITIVE way. The self destructive part of her is gone, but the core of who she’s always been is still there.

From Football to Opera, Celebs tell their story to sell their product, The X has appeard on Okra a million times this year to promote lies, at least Angie and Brad are honest. You must not be a parent. Angelina gave over half of her rights of her children to Brad because she trusts him. I don’t know what else she has to do to make that abundantly clear. She trusts him with her children. She loved and trusted him enough to have a child with him. Something she never thought she’d do.
She was afraid to speak openly and candidly in this interview because of Brad. For Brad, she was going to reign in her natural tendencies to be open, forthright, like she has always been. Brad told her, do not change for me. Relax.
If you’re implying she put on a show when he arrived. Please. She didn’t get on the phone and say, this is how it’s going to be.

GOOD KARMA has bitten. They have three beautiful happy kids. The whole world is fascinated with them. They are in love!!!! Their careers are doing great!!!
The AJ I was looking for was the one that said “You know what, let’s talk about something real, not me. I love Brad, period. However you want to define it, do, because you will. My life is not about my movies, my movies are a vehicle for you to write about me and what I WANT TO SAY, so do. And then the AJ I was looking for would have talked about the darkness of society and all the messed up things that needed to be fixed. And how we could change them. That the life she was holding on to was valuable and she wanted to help others grab on to their lives. She would have said “I’m an honest person and my honesty says my life has nothing to do with you. Ask the questions but make them about something important, not me.”
She is talking about her personal life because those reporters/interviewers keep asking about it and making it the “top” focus and everyone wants to know the mushy, lovey dovey stuff. So, of course it’s at a time when the movie comes out because she’s here to ultimately promote the movie. What better time to ask her about her personal life when you’ve got her for an hour to talk. She’s always been an honest person in her interviews. I don’t know why you haters all find her strange. You don’t live their lives. You don’t know what goes on between the two of them. Had she not answered any personal questions, everyone would’ve still called her a *****. She’s still a great mother and a very beautiful woman in love. When you’re in love, you talk about love. But of course, cynical hating people only talk of hate.
To understand is to forgive and maybe she does have the issues she’s deemed to have… but if you have had trouble in your life, it does leave scars and it does bring issues in that maybe mightn’t have been there otherwise, but Shelstafan, you have to acknowledge that the new Angelina is much more secure and happy than before, and maybe this is a slow, hard road to her development into a stable happy mother and partner… isn’t that what growing up is? I am 31 and I am just getting there myself after a pretty rollercoastery ride so far - but I have the advantage of anonymity and of being surrounded by loving people… haters must leave a trace and constant media speculation and attacks must also not help in the self-healing process … I really feel for her but am so happy to say that despite it all, she seems to be coming out of it the other end.

There is nothing wrong to promote a movie. This is capitalism. That’s why you see marketing, product placement etc.
It is the actors and actresses duty to pomote a movie. It is a RESPONSIBILITY like any job which you and I hold.
Every actor, actress, and even director has to do that. This duty is spelled out often time in their CONTRACT.
Coco - alright. I guess all the spotlights have smoldered her flame a little and made her commonplace. Her fanbase got bigger but also more simple and less educated by the way I do judge some of the posts. I remember when she lived in NY and no one really knew her except were a little frightened by her and intrigued. When she walked into a bar and people stood intrigued and wanted to know her thoughts on “why we are here”. Now people just want to know what it’s like to shag Brad Pitt and what they will wear on the red carpet or the “truth” behind M/M Smith filming. The old AJ would have laughed all of that off, kissed her brother, said F U and then said how about we talk about philosophy or Francis Bacon instead.

AJ has done NUMEROUS interviews in the last two years, up until this point where that is what she has done and she continues to do that. She did that with Anderson Cooper after they got back from Namibia. She did that with Ann Curry when they were in Namibia. She did that with Ann Curry at the World Economic Forum in Davos - talking about HER ISSUES and the darkness of society.
She KNOWS that she can focus on those issues, make the money that she needs to in order to continue to focus on those issues, by promoting her movies. And as much as I’m sure she thinks its probably wierd that people are so interested in her, her personal life, her romantic life, and her family, she knows that it will SELL her movies for her to give the public a little taste. Its basic PR and HOLLYWOOD 101.
She has said herself that the reasons she IS able to focus on the “ills of the world” and the “darkness” as you put it, is because of her movie career. She knows she needs to foster that in order that she may do the “more important work.” Just because she focused on the GOOD things in her life for ONE INTERVIEW and/or a series of interviews to promote The Good Shepard, doesn’t mean she’s neglecting anything.

You don’t like her and that’s fine. But, you need to go on every actor’s thread and say the same thing in regards to needing the recognition. Most actors when honest would admit, yeah to your last sentence.
Angelina, due to her father, maybe feels she doesn’t deserve to be loved. JV did a number on her up until 5 years ago, when she finally told him, she wasn’t going to allow him to do to her child what he did to her.
26 years of that, isn’t going to evaporate quickly. What’s important is that she seems to be taking steps, although baby, to rectify the situation. She’s with a man that doesn’t appear to let her get away with it, although, she does still try, at times.
When someone has had their trust broken by someone that claims to love you above all else, it’s hard to fully open yourself up to it again. Especially, if that same person, kept doing it while looking you in they eye and telling you that they love you. The first step to healing that within you, is to recognize that you do it. And to still reach out and try to become that person you were when the person you trusted most, broke that in you. Taking it on as your own is a huge step.
If you haven’t been there, than it’s something you might not understand. For those of us that have, there is a great deal of empathy towards others that have.
Here’s a theory regarding Angelina, trust, and hugging.
It’s entirely possible that she’s the type of person who underestimates herself. I mean, she said that she never perceived herself as the mothering type, but proved otherwise by raising Maddox on her own for a few years and now, there’s Zahara and Shiloh. As the children grow, she’ll be challenged and she may still see herself as falling short, but then again, I have never met any mother who felt that she nailed the mothering thing.
Regarding trust, people act like it’s readily accessible like a water fountain or something. Trust can be found but it also has to be maintained. She found trust in Brad- whether they can maintain it is entirely up to them.
Hugging is an act of affection that some people can take or leave. It’s not a character flaw to shrink away from hugs, especially if you have issues with the one executing them.

FITR - because I found her image before - the not positive one (as you claim) - to be a lot more honest and interesting. I mourn the loss of the old AJ. She has grown in her interests and her embracement of “life” but she does not have the wit, charm, or honesty anymore. Her eyes got blinded by all the light bulbs. I’m afraid the girl needs to be alone and have a moment to herself, but that will never happen. She has escaped into the worse type of escapism. And from her article it made me realize what a facade she stepped into. That is why I USED to be a fan - because the real AJ would have never allowed the facade to take over. She is a portrait of herself but she is allowing others to be the artist. I liked it better when she painted herself even if the image was frightening or surreal.

If you had, you’d know that she just didn’t roll out of yesterday into today. She’s still on her journey, but it’s one that started over four years ago. I’m questioning that she said she doesn’t trust anyone, not even her mother. Why didn’t she just say “yes, I trust Brad with all my heart and how I know best, with my children?” Why did she have to put the contradiction in her words and actions? Her intrigue has become confusion.
It’s the bumstone - anyone who knows me knows from the beginning I cheered Pitt and Jolie on because of Jolie’s humanitarian work (never dug Pitt with Aniston) and because of how the attention their getting may bring attention to various social issues. However, there’s always seems to be many contradictions with Jolie - especially between what she says and then what she does in action. Of course, the statement of never sleeping with a married man - “I couldn’t look at myself in the mirror…” (huh but went out of your way to establish an emotional connection with a married man - not too mention, her description of “how they fell in love” sounds very calculated on her part as I said before, Jolie states that Pitt was “CLEARLY in love with his best friend, someone he loved and respected..” this sounds like Pitt was at least trying to assert a boundary to which Jolie ignored)
Why is she all of a sudden exclaiming that she’s not publicly affectionate and isn’t huggy - that is an outright lie (!) Her and Billy Bob did nothing BUT exhibit very public PDA, even so far as stating to the very public they had just screwed in the limo!! Maybe she could state yeah I was a little over the top before and now I’m reigning it in a bit……but she asserts very ademently she’s not one to give hugs and really gets into the details of how she’s not one to give hugs etc - except to her children…WTF??

I think Shelostafan is coming to realize that what a wonderful woman Angie really is. However, she is still in the denial stage. Come on Shelostafan, stop your denials …. enjoy the fun.
I don’t realize anything about Angie. I don’t know her except the image she is portraying and, no, I liked her honest one from the past better. I don’t think she is wonderful. She is confused, lost, and stuck in her own PR circle she created. She has to have numerous bodyguards and can never be safe by herself - nor can her kids. They barely survived in India because of the commotion they caused. Those are some “Hollywood” children and they will pay the price of her addiction to Narcissiscm.
Love the Interview and scans. AJ is happy. This comes through in the interview. However, she is not the type of woman who runs to friends and the media when there are problems in the relationship (unlike someone who will be nameless). She has confronted her demons, her wildness and found peace and contentment. We should all wish for the same in our personal lives. No matter what stage of life you are in, it is important to find inner peace. AJ will be fine no matter the course of her relationship with BP. She is a strong woman. She has remained friends with all her exes. She will support BP in all his projects and you can tell that they have each other backs. Haters can moan and groan until the cows come home. They can manipulate bogus polls and spam blogs; however the simple facts are they are a family, happy in love and living their lives only for themselves and their children. DEAL WITH IT or continue with your mindless rants. However, in the large scheme of things your bias disapproval doesn’t amount to a gnat’s as*s.

If you read the interview you will see that Angie is still wild and likes to do her own thing. She’s changed but in a way she is still the same angie that I became a fan of way back in the day. For some reason She is the only celeb that I actually care about. I hope angie and Brad can work through all the craziness… they have issues but who in this world doesn’t?

Why are you trying to define her, limit her, project onto her what you think she should be? Why can’t she decide this for herself? She is discussing her relationship with Brad and her children. So what. We have been having this very discussion the better part of 2 years and we’re not even in the relationship! We’re having this discussion even now. When she was in a relationship she discussed BBT. When she was out of the relationship she made those statements you mentioned about what she was focusing her attention on then. I don’t find it hard to understand or contrary. AJ is a very literal person, she discussion life, passions that are in her life at the moment. Regarding her mother. I love my mother too, very much so. But I trust her as far as I can throw her. A true fan would love that Angelina is not the old AJ anymore. Diane Sawyer asked her what she thought about her wild past. Angelina said she wouldn’t describe her past as wild, but rather self destructive. She said how she is living her life now is what’s really wild to her.
So why would anyone miss the old AJ, the one that Angelina thought was self destructive?
Keep in mind, this is one interview. She needed to clear the air from all the crap that had been building up before she could start her life anew with her family and Brad. With this interview, Angie has cleared the air. She doesn’t have to talk about the past anymore. Now, with future interviews she can focus on her views of the world and the humantarian efforts being made to help people. She’s human and took some time off to live her life. Even while having kids, she’s managed to do her job for the UN ambassador and as a humantarian. She visited Pakistan and went to the Davos meeting. She talked about education with Ann Curry when she was in Namibia. As her children grow older and become less dependable on their parents to be around 24/7, she’ll be albe to talk more about the issues of the world. Give her some time. You forget, that just about six months ago, she was still pregnant. She still has new born, a toddler, and a five year old to care and love for with Brad.

I wish she had come out and done this kind of interview so much earlier. I have so much better understandind of what happened between her and Brad and how they slowly became a family. Now I see and BELIEVE that this is a great love story and that they were meant to be together and that they will be together for a very long time. Very very romantic indeed. And they are the best of friends it seems.

I like Angelina Jolie and am happy for Brad Pitt that he finally has the family he has always wanted… if things are working for them- then that’s great!- yes, they may have a bit of an unconventional life- but if it works for them and their family then so be it.
With that said- My own humble opinion is that- yes, Ange was a bit unbalanced and destructive in her past- but I truly believe that she changed after adopting Maddox and becoming a mother- she changed for the better for herself as well as for her son- after becoming a mother- she probably realized what was really important in life and that is being with and raising good sons/daughters… I respect her for that- unlike so many other celeb mums who have children and then still flit about and live as if they didn’t- shameful- when you decide to have children- naturally or through adoption you take on all of the responsibility that comes with that choice- Ange, I believe has done this with grace and by doing so has also found the goal within herself that motivates her- her humanitarian work- out of all of the celebs- she, when she is pictured doing her humaniatrian work looks as if she is “home” and at “peace”- can any of you imagine, say Paris Hilton looking the least bit comfortable working in a refugee camp in Pakistan? I think not! But when one sees pics. of Ange there, one gets a real sense of who she really is and what it is that is truly important to her… she has said before that she is fortunate to be in a business where she gets paid an obscene amount of $$$ for what she does- why not take a chunkload of that salary and put it towards something good, worthwhile and watch how your contribution has made the lives of those less fortunate- better- whether you are a fan or not, one certainly can’t take that part of her character away from her and say it’s all about “publicity” and the “look at me” mentality of hollywood… no, she is who she is flaws and all- but at least she is living life on her own terms and definitely making the most of it…

Okay, it just dawned on me why Brad flew out to the shoot the next day… he was horny, because he didn’t get his usual nooky (she couldn’t fly back home, because it got dark, so she spent the night with the crew), that’s why when he greeted her he was feeling up her ass… GO BRAD!!!!!

The irony is, Angelina is the only one, were she not with Brad who is every bit as interesting and worthy of the hype, if not moreso, on her own.

Of course, it is obvious to those of us who have followed this story what is actually going on here……
Angie and Brad are growing more and more solid and intimate every day. Angie sorta marvels at Brad and the things he does for her….simple things like getting up and dealing with the kids so she can sleep, etc. It’s perfectly clear to me Angie still has a need to be the tough girl, the one nobody can penetrate or hurt. That’s why she back-pedalled on that trust comment….she’s still a bit afraid of being seen as too much of a softie. You watch. Brad loves her so much, and in all the right ways, that she won’t always feel the need to project that part of herself so much.

@ Shelostafan: Angie of “the past wild and open” is still the same Angie now, still wild, open and honest but more mature now, peaceful and with responsibilities. She’s grown up from that “past” that seemed scary to others in to a parent. With that comes maturity, inner peace and a quest for a great future. This growth has also lead her into the great humanitarian work that she’s doing.
For the past 2 years as everyone was talking about her relationship with Brad with the huge spotlight on them, she very effectively took that spot light and shown to the causes she was supporting. As people went into a frenzy about this relationship the one thing that never went away was the “adoption”, “refugees”, “children education” “poverty” “Davo’s” etc…. every interview we’ve seen and read of her and brad in the past 2 years they didn’t talk about their relationship they instead highlighted the causes they were pushing…. with little mentions of their kids and life…. That is more than any other star (Bono and George match it) have done.
Now every article about them, with them, mentions the humanitarian work, everywhere they travel something about their causes is written about, highlighted, promoted, - Namibia, India, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Pakistan etc….
In the midst of all that, you can’t deny that they are a fascination to many because they are stars. Their (most stars) private life is interesting to many especially Brad and Angie and their life as a result of the Vanity fair article last year by JA. They had to address this at some point. They took 2 years to address it. Brad left it up to Angie to address it first in her own way and she’s done it in this article, she’s spoken honestly, candidly and openly about their relationship while at the same time expressed or shown her vulnerability which is very very refreshing, no other stars do that but Angie. Yes she trusts she says BUT NOT COMPLETELY. This is the most normal thing. We all trust but not completely. There are very few people you can trust completely but many of us would never admit to not trusting completely for fear that the one’s we love and trust will “feel bad” that we don’t trust them completely. Each one of us is insecure in some ways. If you’ve been abandoned by one of your parents it’s even worse and Angie was abandoned and hurt by people she trusted so of course it will take her longer to trust anyone completely its up to her partner Brad to prove to her that she can trust him completely. I think most importantly is that she has admitted this to him and to the public…. I much rather know where I stand than keep guessing.
She has trusted Brad whole heartedly because she’s given herself to him and agreed to share her children with him. YOU HAVE TO TRUST someone to be able to do that. All she’s saying is she thinks Brad will not do anything to hurt her thinking he’s doing it for my benefit but at the end of the day you never know for sure. Same thing with her mum. She trusts her but at the end of the day you never really know if something will happen that they will do something to hurt you but say they are doing it for your sake.
If you read the article…. She says she doesn’t trust anyone COMPLETELY. This means she trusts them to a point. Many of us are the same way. Many people in the relationship are the same way. She’s trusted Brad enough to be with him, to love him, to have kids with him to live with him. She knows how he feels about her but it’s too soon to trust completely, it’s only been two years.
Shelostafan and others this article was to address something that had to be addressed and promote the movie at the same time. At the beginning of the article it is clear that even Angie herself is conflicted about this wearing these clothes to sell them, and promote a movie this way, she’s not modeling in this case, the movie and the clothes designers are using her person to promote their times….. but she knows its something she needs to do, it’s a means to her end. It allows her to work and get that 1/3 of her money that she channels to her causes and at the same time affords her the life she has to go around the world doing good.
If you were her fan in the past for who she was then, then you must be a fan of her now even more so and celebrate her growth, the woman that she has become and how motherhood has made her calmer, respectful, better and has brought her a sense of better living (in every sense of that word).
This is a single interview for the purpose it was supposed to be for. She will have other interviews where she will promote causes she’s passionate about as she’s been doing for the past few years.
I love her, I love this family. I love her and Brad’s love/life and their kids. But most importantly I admire her greatly. Very few of us come be that open and honest about ourselves and our situations or vulnerabilities’ yet we don’t live under the spotlight that they do. She sacrificed her privacy to be with Brad, she knew what to expect with that, I think they’ve handled themselves and the situation superbly.

Man, this interview is powerful! I’ve got to get my own copy soon. I especially like the fact that the interviewer did a previous interview with her several years ago. You get a context and background comparing how she was back then and how she is now. You feel you have better insight to her as a person moreso than someone new who doesn’t know her or her history and would only bring up surface issues from her past that really are out of sync to who she is right now. The surface issues always seems to come up when writers are trying to do a hatchett job on her but don’t really illuminate where she was back then, emotionally and mentally.

I’m laughing at the people who freaked because Angelina kissed her brother. Not too long ago on JJB pictures were posted of men kissing their sons and sister’s kissing each other on the lips. WOW!!! Your post said all that needed to be said. There is something to be said about the the types of people Angelina attracts as fans. In my experience, most of them come across as open minded, extremely intelligent and optimistic people who look forward to the life and the challenges it will present. You know what they say…you attract what you are. Angelina is honest, humble, thoughtful and intelligent and that’s exactly the type of people she attracts as fans.

Man, this interview is powerful! I’ve got to get my own copy soon. I especially like the fact that the interviewer did a previous interview with her several years ago. You get a context and background comparing how she was back then and how she is now. You feel you have better insight to her as a person moreso than someone new who doesn’t know her or her history and would only bring up surface issues from her past that really are out of sync to who she is right now. The surface issues always seems to come up when writers are trying to do a hatchett job on her but don’t really illuminate where she was back then, emotionally and mentally.

You know, that’s another thing that I came away with. I get a sense that it’s more Angelina who’s really not keen on becoming legally bound to him. Angelina certainly never said her life was perfect. In fact, some of the outside chaos around them if far from it. What she does is let/give the reader and public a very small glimpse into her life and their life together. She isn’t carrying on, gushing and throwing rose petals. It is what it is. I think you’re projecting a bit onto her. Angelina has always been someone who shows the truth of her life no matter how painful, uncomfortable or joyous it may be.
I for one have tremendous respect for her, her family and her life’s work.
Brad now speaks with Gwyneth so he most likely doesn’t hate her.

About promoting movie by disclosing private life (if there’s such a thing!). That could have worked for M&M Smith, since they were playing a married couple. But then, on the contrary, they refused to answer any media question about the two of them off screen. Here’s a movie about CIA and an agent with his ignored wife, she’s talking about her love and life with BP!
I wish you’ll do a little research before typing. She did do an interview to promote Mr. and Mrs. Smith in the May issue of Vanity Fair features an article on Angelina Jolie describing how she and Brad Pitt became close through gun training as well as her denial that the two are in any sort of relationship.
“We went to gun training, which is actually one of the most dangerous things two actors can do… You had to trust each other to cross under or over and only move when the other person moves, so the trust, when somebody’s got a loaded gun at your back… It made us trust each other quickly, you know?”
So I have no idea what you mean when you say suddenly she is talking about her life…SHE HAS ALWAYS TALKED ABOUT HER LIFE, she just doesn’t respond or attempt to refute gossip like a certain someone but since In Touch, Star and National Enquirer is where you get your “truth” it’s understandable that you missed her 2005 interview. I have read and pored over the article that was posted by Santa luv in the other threads, and yet I am so buying a copy of Vogue. I really like Angelina’s honesty and candor, and her vulnerability when it comes to Brad. I also love it when they were described as laughing and talking as they walked — it is always nice to be friends with your lover.
