In related news, Angelina says she and Brad Pitt plan on having more kids — through adoption.
Angelina Jolie says she and boyfriend Brad Pitt want more children, and will likely adopt their next child to try to balance their “mixed-race family.”
“I want Mad (Maddox) to know that as our family grew and we all came together, we didn’t just start having children, biological children,” the 31-year-old actress said Thursday on ABC’s Good Morning America.
“Yes, we have Shiloh and it’s been a wonderful experience, but we want to find another brother or sister in the world for our family.”
She added: “I’m on the pill.”
Jolie said it’s important to balance how their children perceive their family.

For those wanting to claim that she doesn’t trust Brad. When asked that question, her first answer was that she does trust him, then she backtracked. Always trust the answer first given when there isn’t time to think.
Trust is earned in this life. It’s not a commodity given freely. Just like respect. You have to earn it.

Personally I don’t know why people are so fixated on this “trust” issue. I don’t trust anybody completely either. That’s the case for millions of people, not just women. Anybody who trusts anyone 100% is just begging to be let down over something trivial. You’re a lot better off trusting people 95% or 99%…anything but 100%. People do things all the time “in your best interests” and it turns out that what THEY think are your best interests and what you think are, are 2 entirely different things. Angie mentioned the same thing when she spoke about trusting her mother. Besides, trust is overrated. I trusted my hairdresser once to not cut my hair shorter than I wanted it and she did it anyway…and yes, I AM still bitter about it. Lesson learned - never trust anyone 100%.

i know this may have come a little too late, but fyi, she has already admitted tt the photoshoot was to promote the movie and and the clothes she wore.
Kind of off-topic: Matt and De Niro are going to be on Hardball w/ Chris Matthews. Now, if you’re like me and you can tolerate Chris’s voice then I suggest you catch it. I saw a clip of Matt and it looks like it’ll be a good show, he’s not talking about Angie in it though.

I think the trust issue is a non-issue. I think that Angie completely trusts Brad. She has allowed herself to be vulnerable for him because she could see that he means what he says. I thinks the statement is one made by a grown up Angie who realizes that speaking in absolutes is no longer safe. It sets herself up and Brad as well.
I just saw BP in that Dancing Beer commercial…and dayum!!! LOVE IT. He’s incredibly cool looking in it and good looking to boot.

ITA with you PT. Never trust anyone 100%. So, when they push you down, you wont fall flat on your face. If you trust like 95%, then atleast u have 5% chance to maintain your balance. I never trust anyone 100% either.

I guess I’m in the minority as I’m one quite glad Diane Sawyer asked the questions she did. They’re the subjects that critics historically drag out and use to further the fable that Angelina Jolie is indifferent to the plight of those in America. I’m very glad.

JPF - It’s sad to say, but let’s face it, Diane Sawyer asked those asinine questions for a reason: The Mini-Van Minority wants to know. News shows, especially the morning shows, cater to the lowest common denominator - gossipmongering wins in the ratings over a serious discussion on the issues of interracial & international adoption. First people want to know “why not adopt in the US” and when she answers that then they’re on to “why an ethnic child and not a white child”. Those are surface issues and don’t delve into the intracacies of adopting. But doggone it, middle America wants to know why you’re getting all dem dere for-rain babies and by golly we’ll get the ratings if we ask! So…reporters like Diane Sawyer, who used to be good, solid hard-hitting NEWS reporters are asking lame-ass questions like “What the difference between kissing Matt and Brad.” And hard-core fans are left p#ssing and moaning about how stupid the reporters are.
Phew, thankyou dragonfly! I thought perhaps I had missed it somehow. Now back to wrapping Christmas presents…have a good weekend my fellow bamzs!

Robert Deniro must be a great actor because in real life he seems so shy. Matt Damon is such a nice person I glad that Angelina and Brad consider him a friend.

Yes to both comments - he’s a great actor and very shy IN INTERVIEWS in real life. He hates doing press and for most of his career he’s been able to avoid it, but this time he really has to do it because he’s the director! He’s used to having Scorsese do the talking to explain his character and why certain choices were made in making the movie. This time he has to do it himself. Typically watching a De Niro interview is like watching a kid give his first trumpet recital…lots of false starts and stammering and you wonder if he’s ever going to get to the end of the piece so he can exit the stage and die of humiliation. I love De Niro…but he sucks as an interviewee.

I always loved the American public for their open-minded attitude. But of late, when i go to certain forums, be it political, entertaiment, i find that lot of people are very conservatives in their thoughts. I was surprised beacuse i usually dont encounter these in-tolerant people on a daily basis. But i must say i’ve had my share of racial discriminations against me. But, people on the outlook seem nice. Only when i read these forums and blogs that i come to know that there’s still a lot of racial intolerance in this country. Ofcourse, there’s racial intolerance everywhere around the world. But Americans “claim” that they are very tolerant. I think they should just come out and admit that even they have these issues. I think its just double-standard on their part to say something and do something else.
Dont get me wrong. I still think a lot of Americans are really nice and open-minded. But, still this issue of tolerance towards “other” people needs to be dabated on a more open platform. My two cents.

I certainly hope so, because now they are already driving that quote about trust into the ground. They don’t get that the point of the whole thing is that while Angie may say she doesn’t trust completely right now, her actions show she trusts Brad a great deal. It’s like the author was attempting to show that we are seeing the issue of trust dissipate and evaporate into the desert heat when Brad landed that plane and “scooped her up”. That point is too complex for some elementary minds to grasp, I suppose.

To her it’s a life adjustment, and she’s having a hard time reconciling the old way and the new way. This is not to say she’d rather be alone. It’s just taking her a little longer to figure out how to be in a productive partnership.
I’m getting from a pretty reliable source that Brad has the “patience of Job” and that he has been very sincere in convincing her to open up and let him in.”
