In related news, Angelina says she and Brad Pitt plan on having more kids — through adoption.
Angelina Jolie says she and boyfriend Brad Pitt want more children, and will likely adopt their next child to try to balance their “mixed-race family.”
“I want Mad (Maddox) to know that as our family grew and we all came together, we didn’t just start having children, biological children,” the 31-year-old actress said Thursday on ABC’s Good Morning America.
“Yes, we have Shiloh and it’s been a wonderful experience, but we want to find another brother or sister in the world for our family.”
She added: “I’m on the pill.”
Jolie said it’s important to balance how their children perceive their family.

This is a slap in their faces that their love have overcome the bad publicity they had las year but that is no longer. Observer2 - good point. I see the irony. But what she says to one interviewer versus what she does in front of an audience who are in a “frenzy” over BP arriving is a contradiction. Her thoughts and her actions do not correlate.

Up until 2 days ago, I haven’t posted here in months, but read most threads….and while there are a lot of those “types” of comments saying that they love BP and AJ and them together, you must have missed the posts with hundreds of comments that go on about everything and anything including AJ and BP’s charitable issues, politics, and things that have nothign to do with the two of them, that are very in depth and intelligent.
Bringing up JA does need to stop. I only did so as a comparison point, because I couldn’t think of another actress who discussed personal issues and also had a movie to promote…but I just did think of one. Hillary Swank - her Vanity Fair cover when she was promoting The Black Dahlia earlier this fall….she discussed her own and her soon to be ex husband’s VERY personal issues.
If you used to be a fan of AJ, I don’t understand why you wouldn’t embrace this happy, bright, shining woman that she’s grown into. I’ve looked at old pictures of her, seen old video, and while she was always open, honest, and forthright, I have NEVER EVER seen her with the kind of happiness, peace, and contentment as she has now. She GLOWS and thats because of Brad Pitt, her children, and their life together. Anyone who has EVER been a fan of this womans like I have since 1999 should look at her now and say WOW, look at how much she’s grown and in a POSITIVE way. The self destructive part of her is gone, but the core of who she’s always been is still there.
Coco - haters and lovers are in the same boat. This attracts a lot of people who you deem to “hate” them because they say lame things and on the flip side the “lovers” aren’t saying anything much more impressive, just positive.
Apparently we are all judged by what we say. . .just some of us, you as one, are actually SAYING something. That is nice for once. You have a critical cell in your brain and can actually have a conversation about the article not just talk about pettiness.

Observer 2, his point isn’t critical - that’s not how I read it, anyway…. i see it as an observation on her transformation and maybe the work she is doing on herself and her issues… her hugging Brad shows he’s bringing out that side of her, one that maybe she never had, and is new to… one of a happy woman with a man she loves… instead of a contradiction, maybe it’s a new woman? a happy one…

You think Aniston did that Vanity Fair cover because she didn’t have anything to promote? That was ALL about her private life and she had 3 movies coming out around that time.
The public wants to know about their private lives…and they figure, the only reason they have to talk about it, to get people intrigued so they’ll go see their movies. This is not a new phenomena and Angie isn’t the only one who does it - EVERY SINGLE DAMN ACTOR IN HOLLYWOOD does it.

Thank you very much, since the dawn of time (in the movie industry) actors have promoted themselves in order to Promote their movies/plays/music. That is why we have so many ENTERTAINMENT based show, I mean just go look in any TV guide from any State in the USA and you will see tens of Entetainment based shows that depict the life of celebs. From Football to Opera, Celebs tell their story to sell their product, The X has appeard on Okra a million times this year to promote lies, at least Angie and Brad are honest. It is so sad how the haters have to grasp for straws to spew their hate.

You need to go and re-read the last paragraph. The interviewer is saying by Angelina’s own actions in the way she greets Brad, is a complete contradiction to her own words about trust and hugging. In that moment with Brad, she’s doing both.

She has grown in her interests and her embracement of “life” but she does not have the wit, charm, or honesty anymore. Her eyes got blinded by all the light bulbs. I’m afraid the girl needs to be alone and have a moment to herself, but that will never happen. She has escaped into the worse type of escapism. And from her article it made me realize what a facade she stepped into. That is why I USED to be a fan - because the real AJ would have never allowed the facade to take over. She is a portrait of herself but she is allowing others to be the artist. I liked it better when she painted herself even if the image was frightening.

You must not be a parent. Angelina gave over half of her rights of her children to Brad because she trusts him. I don’t know what else she has to do to make that abundantly clear. She trusts him with her children. She loved and trusted him enough to have a child with him. Something she never thought she’d do.
She was afraid to speak openly and candidly in this interview because of Brad. For Brad, she was going to reign in her natural tendencies to be open, forthright, like she has always been. Brad told her, do not change for me. Relax.
If you’re implying she put on a show when he arrived. Please. She didn’t get on the phone and say, this is how it’s going to be.
If you want to see something ugly in that last paragraph. That’s on you. The interviewer who was there and witnessed certainly didn’t.
If you want to question the fact that they’ve built a family together and are happy as are their kids. If you see something ugly there. That’s on you. Witnessing that is never an ugly thing.

Karma is a ***** and good karma has already descended. Brad and Angie are happy with their three kids. Brad is nominated for Babel. The Departed is nominated for best picture. Brad and Angie are doing humanitarian work.
On the other hand … what does Aniston have? … an empty and cold bed, no job, …etc.

too true Shelostafan… I have to say it amazes me… no wonder she feels the need to show her new/true/whatever it is self, because bottom line, the only way she can explain herself is through an interview, and sadly that’s what she gets judged on… must be so hard… regardless of whether one likes her or not, none of us actually know her and yet we all feel free to comment, with varying degrees of inane comments thrown in for good measure… It baffles me and I actually wonder why I post anything at all when it’s met with animal grunts… but good to see one or two normal sounding (see? i’m judging based on postings! we’re all targets!) peeps, that make it an interesting thread…

Nobody gave a **** about Angie until she had her nose done and she hooked up with Brad. It’s all about Brad.
I’m questioning that she said she doesn’t trust anyone, not even her mother. Why didn’t she just say “yes, I trust Brad with all my heart and how I know best, with my children?” Why did she have to put the contradiction in her words and actions? Her intrigue has become confusion.
And sorry to say you are wrong, but you are, I have many lovely children. I understand what it is to be a parent. I would never stick my children in harm’s way. I would never make them embarrassed to say my name. I would never plot myself to sound as if I cannot be loved. I would drop off the radar and nurture them - not myself. Angie still needs love from something or someone else. . .she wouldn’t “need” all of this is she was fine just being loved and being a mother.
