This is my first post of the day. Don’t know if you’ve been watching the news, but Seattle, and the Puget Sound area has been experiencing severe winds. Some, in Seattle were up to 70 miles an hour. There is a lot of damage, trees falling on houses, cars, power lines. I haven’t had electricity or heat for two days. There are many others who are in far worse shape.

Well let me just say that I am happy Angelina is taking charge of defining her image. I hope she stops letting the media say whatever it wants and her remaining silent. I am happy she has sat the record on her and Brad’s relationship. It seems everyone has been waiting and wanting to interview her, but given the opportunity they ask stupid qusestions. They keep asking the same question, are you pregnant, are you getting married? How many times do you have to say no. EHollywood had a poll on which of the three children was the cutest. Shiloh was 1st, Maddox 2nd, and Z third. I sincerely hope this type doesn’t happen as they get older. But this is America and I know that is a foolish hope. I am glad that DS asked her about adopting only overseas children. She answered that well. Remember, Angie was in Serra Leone when all of the fighting was going on, see Blood Diamonds or read her book Notes of My Trvels. Angie has been in tougher situations than DS and LK. These people are a piece of cake. Neither Bill O’Riley or LK have been to some of the places she has been. DS might have, but the fighting had probably stopped.

My lights are back on, and so is the heat. I have a wood stove, which keep the upstairs portion of the house slighty warm. But they say it is going to be about 29 degrees tonight. This is worse weather we’ve had since I moved her 17 years ago. Good Night and peace.

ANGELINA JOLIE IS BROKEN AND VULNERABLE IN NEW CIA PERIOD FILM

December 17, 2006

BY CINDY PEARLMAN
NEW YORK — Christmas isn’t exactly the favorite holiday in the Jolie-Pitt household. It turns out that honor goes to Halloween because it’s the one time of year where the most stalked couple in the world has an excuse to disguise themselves.

“We were in India for Halloween,” Angelina Jolie tells the Sun Times. “Brad, the kids and I had an odd celebration in the hotel where we were staying. We had candy sent up and told the children it was from the saints. Brad and Mad [their son Maddox] were pirates. I put a big afro on Z [daughter Zahara]. I put on dreadlocks like Bob Marley. We just had the best time.”

For Jolie, there is something sweeter than candy all year round.

“I love being with Brad. I love being with my kids. There is just nothing that’s better,” she says. “This is the life I chose to have and I love every minute of it.”

Jolie also loves playing the part of movie star. On a freezing cold winter afternoon in the Big Apple, she arrives at the Regency Hotel looking stick-thin in a white camisole and black pants. When she gets a chill, a handler immediately brings her a gorgeous Angora sweater to wrap around her shoulders.

Jolie is here to talk about her role in “The Good Shepherd,” opening Friday, in which she plays the wife of a hardened, career CIA agent played by Matt Damon.

She fit the role in between giving birth, mothering her two other children, romancing Brad and spending time in India shooting a film about Daniel Pearl.

“I plan a lot obsessively,” she says. “I’m very very lucky that I’m a good planner.”

And as if her life isn’t busy enough, she quickly adds, “I’d like to add many more children to this life. “They’re a lot of fun. They’re just a joy. Brad and the children bring a joy of life that exists nowhere else.”

Nothing seems to get her down, including the paparazzi onslaught that includes about 100 shutterbugs waiting outside the hotel during this interview.

“I’ve made a point not to let it change my life other than I carefully plan my holidays, where we go and where we stay to ensure some quality of life that’s private and nice for the kids,” Jolie says. “Otherwise, we simply don’t let it affect us. The only time it’s hard when the kids want to go somewhere. I’ve had so many people offer to take my kids to Disneyland or trick-or-treating for me. I don’t want to ever do that. I want to take them. We find ways to do it as a family.

“There are worse problems to have than rumors and attention,” she says.

There also are worse problems than being Brad Pitt’s significant other. Jolie doesn’t seem to mind talking about why their relationship works.

“I think you have to be honest, which is what we are with each other,” she says.” I don’t want to spend my life pretending to be someone else. I don’t want the person next to me to pretend ever. We have a long life ahead of us. You have to be who you are. It’s the only way you will be truly happy.”

The kids have curtailed how much she works anymore.

“The thing that makes the big choice is how long is it shooting. I haven’t shot more than seven weeks on a movie in two years.”

In “The Good Shepherd,” directed by Robert De Niro, Jolie plays a quiet, disgruntled and ignored wife — not exactly standard fodder for the screen beauty.

DeNiro says he was “lucky to get Angelina.”

“We had a few meetings,” DeNiro recalls. “She really wanted this part because it was unlike anything she had ever done in the past. On the set, she surprised me even more than I thought she would with what she did with the part.”

She even has to age in this film.

“In this business, I know there is not a lot of leverage about how people think people should look,” Jolie says. “I love to see my face look old. There is something comfortable about being an older women. There is a comfort of having earned that age.”.

Then she laughs and adds, “In this movie, I had yellow contacts and yellow teeth. It wasn’t good. Hopefully, I won’t look like that.”

For Jolie, the film “was a study in restraint.”

“I live in a time as a woman where I can say I’m leaving I’m getting a divorce. I can speak up or speak in a manner that’s harsh. The women in this movie had to be quiet and maintain composure and decency,” she says.

Jolie, known for her own strength and playing strong women, loved playing someone who was weak.

“I liked that there were things about her that were broken,” she admits. “Often I don’t get to play that part. She’s subservient, vulnerable and broken. As an actress it was a great challenge.”

Jolie’s humanitarian work has become more of a challenge, too.

“About five years ago when I traveled and said ‘I’m American,’ people thought it was the greatest place in the world. Now, you feel cautious. Now, you feel people are not so joyful about that,” she says. “They’re questioning my country and people say things like, ‘It’s extraordinary you’re here because you’re American.’ That’s not true to the American people. We’re caring, generous people. It’s not what our government has represented these last few years. It’s been difficult to go to places abroad, but I will never stop.”

She does stop for a moment to make clear that her life is not all seriousness all the time.

“I think it’s important to have fun, too,” she says. “There is room in the world for everything if you make room for it.”

I am a big Angelina Jolie-Fan but sometimes I have to critcise somthing

It’s okay if the criticise is constructive but if it’s so vindictive , harsh, racist, cruel. I think its absolutely righteous to retaliate. or else this site will end up like ff and perez hilton com.

I usually lurk but had to come out of hiding.

Dina,

I hope you are ok. So sorry to hear about the weather. Stay warm and safe. I’ve been reading about how bad the weather has been but didn’t know the extent of it. Please take care of yourself. Good night.

#####################################################

Observer2,

Which tv program did u see recent pics of them?

I like the Jolie-Pitt family, and I think those kids are damn gorgeous, but why does everyone feel the need to put Aniston down? Personally, I don’t think she did anything wrong in the whole thing, and as much as you’ll try to deny it, everyone profited in some way from the divorce. Besides, I think they’ve all gotten over it, so basically Jennifer Aniston and Brad/Angelina are irrelevant. I think that it’s the fans who need to move on. I enjoy the JP family and wish them well, but I also do hope Jennifer good for the future, too, may it come or not.
(By the way, the reason that Aniston was turned down for the 24 role was because she was too famous, not because they didn’t like her, etc. And to all her “flopped” movies, I disagree as well. Although they were not huge blockbustered, they fared decently. “Rumor has it” made 96 million worldwide, so I think it did well. “Friends with Money” seemed to be more of an indie-ish film, and we all know that the “Break Up” fared nicely for a comedy. Her biggest flop was probably “Derailed”, but it still made twice the production budget. Not an Aniston stan, but those are the facts.)
And before everyone starts attacking me, remember, I’m entitled to my OWN OPINION. Call me a “hater” if you want, but that wouldn’t make much sense.

National Equirer is so kind to Fanistons!

((((((((((WHAHAHAHA))))))))))

Amy ,

The reason fans of the Jolie-Pitts have a hard time not putting down Aniston is because she is reason for the slew of hatred thrown at this family and their fans. People who are fans of this couple are mocked and attacked. The couple and their kids have had many ridiculous statements made about them on blogs and by the public. Aniston’s Vanity Fair interview was an unfair, derogatory, and sickening attack on Angelina, Brad, Maddox, and Zahara. You simply do not attack kids and keep your business private during a divorce. Aniston did not do that. Her Vanity Fair interview opened the door for haters to attack this family and that’s where it all started. She’s never apologized for it nor has she shown regret for her actions. She’s always been manipulative with the media and has told many lies so she could come out looking like the innocent victim of a failed marriage. People find a hard time of moving on frankly because it’s apparent that Aniston has not moved on.

I do hope that she really moves on and finds peace with herself. I know it’s a longshot but it would help if she told the truth about her marriage and apologized for her actions and lies. But I still wish her piece.

I don’t think you’re a hater but this is why people don’t like Aniston.

LOL, Cliniqua. That Kristin Hahn was a piece of work for those quotes. Freaking hilarious. What was that quote from Jen’s publicist about the madeup cry for help phonecalls she made to Brad after Vince dumped her? “He wasn’t that big of a deal”? Can someone get that quote again? Hahahaha. So I guess all those grandiose commendations of how Jen was “handling the pain” were indeed exaggerations

^^

It’s a appreciated that you posted this, but it’s really all the various stories from the last few weeks strung together. I wonder what stops it from being plagerizism as most of it is darn near word for word other reporters work. If it from the AP than I could see/accept compliation, but it’s being credited to Cindy Pearlman like she wrote it instead of poached it.

Again, thanks anyway

Goodnight/morning all

I’m a big BAMZS fan, yet I deeply feel sorry for JA.

Of course she’s not perfect, had a lot to do with this chaos, but come on, she’s been being compared with GP before/during the marriage, and now AJ, by tabloids and popole, no wonder she became so ambitious and twisted a bit, she’s just miserable inside, I think. So what if just let her off the hook?

As long as she’s not really happy and successful, there’s no way the haters disappear forever. So I sincerely hope for her happiness&success for her own and for BAMZS’s sake as well.

Angelina doesn’t even want to be classy. All she wants is to help people.

What’s to be classy? Highlights, suntanning, gambling, smoking? Yee you’r right, she is not classy this way

I really hope she finds some peace too because maybe the rabid haters will ease off of Brad and Angie’s family. But then again, many of us were hoping for this to happen with VV. We really hoped the relationship was real and that she could go on and stop talking about the bermuda triangle. Unfortunately it became too obvious that this relationship was only for PR and even it didnt stop her from exploiting her breakup with Brad.

You say as long as she isnt successful and happy the haters wont stop their ugliness toward BAMZS, well, that isnt our responsibility… lettting her “off the hook” isnt going to make things better in her life. SHE has to do that for herself. We are really only commenting on her actions and statements… we don t have the power to change either.
I dont even feel sorry for her because she caused much of her troubles. I am not totally unsympathetic but.. she didnt just break up with Brad.. it has been two years plus… cause you know they werent together much a long time before the separation announcement.

Perhaps I am cynical because her fans believed in her phony relationship with VV and still they were spewing hate and death threats towards Brad and Angie and the kids. I dont know what it is going to take to end all this… maybe time, although it seems it has been going on already far too long.

Sorry, but can we not talk about JA? I am allergic to her.

exactly… we don t HATE Jennifer aniston… we HATE the things she allowed to be said about her ex and angie and their kids. really cruel things…. even though she couldnt even say he cheated (cause he didnt) and she basically said nice things about him…(cause he is a nice guy) she allowed others, including that writer to do a hatchet job. And then later she said she had no regrets about any of it.

THAT is when all this hate by aniston fans and just plain crazies began. Before that it was an amicable split. yeah, some say she had the right to say her peace, but the thing is SHE DIDNT. she let her friends imply things or defend her by saying downright lies about brad(yeah, like he didnt really want kids omg how stupid, and called him diabolical) even jen couldnt say that with a straight face so she let her nonfamous friends to their dirty work. Courtney Cox was the one friend who said she didnt think he cheated and that he did tell jen he was having feelings for Angie, and that he didint have to do that(but brad is an honest man and it is no surprise he didnt try to hide anything from jen)

Last but not least was the writer who said snarky things about angie and her past and accused her of adopting as a pr tool. Not coincidentally.. a lot of the haters have made that same ridiculous, cruel, and insulting claim. You know that had to hurt Brad deeply.. if not anger him.

This is where the animosity comes from with Jen. We dont hate her… just her tactics and the way she tried to make it out that her marriage was healthy and happy until angie came along.

They simply grew apart.. and had been for several years..They wanted different things in life… it is documented in interviews they both have given..not tabloids.

Angie didnt have anything to do with the divorce because Brad did not know at the time of separation if he even had a future with Jolie. In Angie’s Vogue article.. when she was adopting Z, they only considered themselves good, close friends… this shows me at least that..even if Angie and Brad had not decided to become a couple and a family.. Brad was still wanting out of the marriage. He was not going back to Jen even if he and Angie found out they werent meant to be together. That part of his life was over… no matter what. I t just happened that Brad and Angie DID find out they had much in common as well as the same interests and goals for the future… that is fortunate for them.

I would like for Jen to also find someone who shares her dreams and goals..whatever they might be. Brad loved her once very much and I believe he wants her to be happy. i even think he has moved on from the VF article and isnt harboring any ill will. he has his family.. his love… Why should he?

I posted some of this on the George Clooney and Don Cheadle thread. It would be great if we could all take a few minutes to send a email or send a letter to our Foreign Minister or head of government about darfur

The Hon. Alexander Downer
Minister for Foreign Affairs
To: A.Downer.MP@aph.gov.au
Cc: Kevin.Rudd.MP@aph.gov.au

Dear Minister,

I am writing to inform you of my deep concern regarding the horrific situation in Darfur. The continuing mass killing, rape and displacement of Darfuri people is a tragedy that must be stopped. I call on the government of Australia to assist in the protection of the innocent citizens of Darfur by;

Pledging funding support, technical assistance and/or troop contributions to current AMIS peacekeeping missions to ensure that when it is transferred to a UN force it is robust and able to effectively fulfil its mandate

Undertaking a commitment to accept and resettle a greater number of Darfuri refugees in Australia through the offshore resettlement program.

It is Australia’s responsibility to assist in bringing peace to a land which has been ravaged by cruel war for three years. It is crucial that the government of Australia act to show support for the people of Darfur.

Here is the suggested template letter to a US congressman:

Dear Representative/Senator ____________,
As you may know, since February 2003, the Sudanese government has orchestrated a campaign of racial extermination against the ethnically-distinct black African population of Darfur. The Sudanese military and the Janjaweed militias it arms have killed as many as 400,000 black Darfurians. They have bombed and burned villages throughout the region, displacing almost 3.5 million people who now cling to life as homeless refugees. They have raped and assaulted countless women, including pregnant mothers who have subsequently lost their unborn babies. They have tortured and killed men, often in front of their families.
The violence is far from over: thousands of people continue to die each month in Darfur.
We, the undersigned members of your constituency, stand with the 80 percent of Americans who believe the U.S. should be doing more to end the genocide in Darfur. We stand with the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., who said that, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” And we stand with President George W. Bush, who declared in his Second Inaugural Address that, “All who live in tyranny and hopelessness can know: the United States will not ignore your oppression, or excuse your oppressors. When you stand for your liberty, we will stand with you.”
Our top priority is protecting the lives of innocent civilians. Darfurians are religious leaders, community leaders, businesspeople, laborers, teachers, and students—just like those of us who have signed this letter and others like it all across America this summer. We urge you to take decisive action to ensure their safety, health and freedom by:
1. Approving adequate funding for Darfur in the Fiscal Year 2007 funding process.
2. Passing the strongest possible version of the Darfur Peace and Accountability Act
3. Retaining the Clinton Amendment (amendment 4361) within the Defense Authorization bill (S. 2766).
As you can see, there are concrete actions you can take to help protect civilians from murder, rape and displacement. We encourage you to take them.
Sincerely,

I just came from Sammie 323 , they have that article scan. I think the writer that wrote that fanfic must be fired. He stated Brad and Jen found love again while Brad was filming Benjamin Button in NO and Angie with kids were in India filming Marianne Pearl. So hilarious, even faniston fans knew its a joke! The world knew Brad and Angie were together the whole one and half month in India, Cambodia, Vietnam. and they were together in NO as proved by Brad co star Cate, she said was a regular in the set.
