This isn’t gearing up to be a good holiday season for Jennifer Aniston. Who can forget that two years ago this season, Aniston was being given the “dumping speech,” by then husband Brad Pitt as they walked on a beach in the Caribbean. Shortly thereafter, he very publicly reunited with his real love, and Mr and Mrs Smith co-star Angelina Jolie, 31. Now Angelina, who has come out the PR winner despite the odds, is telling all to Vogue forcing Jen to relive the entire experience. The candid Angelina even reaches out to Aniston, saying she would meet with her but “that would be her decision, and I would welcome it.” Celebrity Babylon can hear Jen grinding her teeth already.

Then came movie bomb after movie bomb, until finally Wedding Crasher’s star Vince Vaughn, 36, wrangled the tawny-haired actress into doing his film The Break Up. A romance between the two seemed to lift the dour Aniston’s spirits, and a few times we even saw her crack a smile. After over a year of mostly sporadic dating, Aniston, 37, made an obligatory pilgrimage to visit her man in London, there to film the movie Fred Claus. Shortly afterwards, in early December, it was announced (to no ones surprise) that the couple was calling it quits. The entertainment shows blamed the real life Break Up on outside influences, careers, and, most bizarrely, “Jennifer’s charity work.” That line made Celebrity Babylon almost choke! Charity work? Jennifer Aniston? The two concepts are completely at odds.

Aniston famously told Vogue magazine in April of this year, that getting involved in charities or political causes, “It’s just not my thing. It’s not what interests me. I commend anybody who goes out there and does it. And when the moment happens and it’s authentic for me, I’m sure I will.” Finally, that moment must have come.

A brief commercial for St Jude’s Children’s Hospital is airing this month, with Aniston asking a little girl who is stricken with cancer and undergoing chemotherapy, “Give me a hug.” Once again, it’s all about “Jen.” The sick child has to give her a hug, it is so strained and transparent. Poor Jen is being forced into charity due to the “uber” charitable Angelina Jolie, who was even able to get Jen’s airhead ex Brad Pitt, 43, off the couch, and into various causes around the world.

Unlike other celebrities who have been in the spotlight for decades and have learned to deal with the good and the bad that comes with being a star, Aniston seems to be determined to fight the system. Part of the problem is that the public believed Aniston to be the same happy, quirky character of Rachel Green that she played for a decade on Friends, when the truth is a lot more boring and not half as nice. Over the years we have learned the following things about Jennifer Aniston: She hates to fly and wears a special charm around her neck to protect her. Has bragged about her ability to stay in her house for weeks on end, with her friends having coming to visit her while she holds court. Hates reality shows, and says, “I don’t watch TV anymore. Nothing. I have no interest in that [American] Idol S***.” Spent years first not speaking to her father, and then spent another decade not speaking to her mother. Had a laugh about how her therapist died, and then goes on to tell the world that her ex Brad Pitt has a “sensitivity chip” missing. Aniston hates that her famous Rachel hairdo is what brought her initial fame. She worries about doing interviews because she realizes that, “there’s nothing left to talk about and I’m sick of everything about myself.” She hates photographers snapping her picture, especially in a bathing suit, but rents a beach house on the public owned “Millionaire’s” Carbon Beach, in celebrity-infested Malibu.

As the years slip by, it’s obvious that fame and wealth have brought nothing but misery to the insecure Aniston, who has seen relationships fall by the way side, a movie career slip between her fingers, and had every aspect of her personal life splashed on the pages of tabloids. Celebrity Babylon suggests Aniston get out of Los Angeles this holiday season, before she’s forced to look at photos of Brad and Angelina picking out a Christmas Tree, or Vince Vaughn kissing a blonde college cutie under the mistletoe!

Jen maintains a veneer of happiness for her fans, but how does she really look when the cameras have stopped rolling?

Here’s to you William Bradley Pitt, may you live long in health, wealth and absolute contentment with the family (Wife - Angelina Jolie, Children -Maddox, Zahara and Shiloh) you went through great lengths to gain. A lesser man would have caved in but not you…..You saw the visions of bigger and better things ahead and you held on. If we are asked to sum up your life so far, the old cliché - He who laughs last, laughs the longest comes to mind but your life is more than a cliché….it is the antithesis of clichés. Hopefully, one day, we will find just the right words, the right sentences and the right paragraph to sum it up but until that day comes, HAPPINESS, JOY and LOVE will suffice.
