Hi Grandma!

Thank you for your kind words. I try to do the best I can do, any drop of work - past, present, financial, intellectual, policy, on the field - is needed wherever poverty is a problem, this including the developed countries but the resources are much better here.

Actually in the previous thread, I wrote: Grandma My hat is off to you. I read your message in the thread on Damon, and wrote a note to you and to AddictedtoBAMZS in Pitt’s Party thread. Later AddictedtoBAMZS corrected me about the etiquette of blog threads. Mea culpa! But I am in awe about your keen insights, be it on US foreign policy, GB and CR relationship, a toast to JPs or a recipe to celebrate the party. I am still grinning for the tequila mixing.

Me is seriously off to get ready for my trip now. Guli, if you are lurking, what would like to have from Mediterranean? A luggage full of sunshine?

cheers
~curly

The headband Brad is wearing is popular in Cambodia. It’s called
Krama Chameleon–All things to all people, it’s a scarf, a towel, a curtain, a headband, a headdress, a sling for a baby, a belt, a sash, a mask to cover the nose and mouth on dusty roads, an over-the-shoulder satchel, a carrier for a fighting rooster, a cushion for carrying water jars on the head, a bandage, a hanky, and a shawl. The Krama, a woven cotton scarf, usually of a two-tone checked pattern but in many variations, is essential for rural travel. They’re convenient and make great gifts. If you don’t have a Krama, the young sellers at the temple sites in Angkor or on the streets of Phnom Penh are sure to remind you that you need one (or another one).

You guys go so fast. I need to finish reading the other post.

Wow, didn’t know that about the Krama. Perhaps they should think about making them and selling them to help give more money there. I would buy for sure.
Thanks for sharing

aww. i love all the humanitarian work brad and angelina are doing. but i love the pics even more. gorgeous people! thanks jared.

Why do ppl post so much on only Brad, Angelina and Jennifer threads, because you guys say the same thing in each thread:
What a great family, they look so in love, we get it already.
I just thinks its so crazy, and no i’m not a hater.

Thanks Grandma, I’m not really surprised that there is a shared admiration between them. I just can’t forget about the time when she accidentally referred to him as her husband lol

Thanks for that info ntt. Stephen has had a great year. He was on GQ’s Men of the Year, one of People’s sexiest men, Time’s most influential, VH1’s Big Breakout star and there’s probably more awards he’s gotten that I can’t remember lol

I am not being mean or anything, but why do you care? If I want to post over and over again how over the moon I am about BAMZS, is that a problem? You can skip over the posts, or better yet, get out of this thread. It’s simple, really. But calling what we do is crazy is so not nice.

That picture of Brad with all the kids is so cute, he sure loves the little ones. They both do which is obvious in these pictures, look how happy they both look. I think they have more fun then the kids they visit, which is great.

I wish Rosie would just eat Donald Trump already. I’m pretty sure, she would win a major award for shutting him up, if she lived that is. EWWWW…imagine the hair ball she would cough up after she finished him…yuck.

Dear curly,
The last post of your’s about the psychology of haters, i finally managed to comprehend especially after African Girl tried to explain it to me giving instances. And what a great post it was!! I even wrote back and am not sure if you got a chance to read mine. Anyways, here again, you come up with a great post! Statistics is what i like! When you present facts with stats, that’s when people take you seriously. About India, i know it’s a poor country but again i did’nt know how poor stats-wise. Thank you for taking the pain to post all the facts. I keep telling you all and i tell you again, being born in America is like being born with a silver-spoon in your mouth. All you Americans are very fortunate, trust me. I’ve seen both the worlds and know exactly what poverty means. The poverty that you talk in America is nothing compared to the poverty i’ve seen in India. I dont know why there is so much of a discrepency in God’s creation. All this has lead me to become an atheist. Only people can change the world. Not God. And people like Angie and Brad are very few. If every rich man in this world give up a small portion of their wealth to improve the quality of life of poorer people, it would make a great difference. And that’s exactly what B and A are doing and that’s precisely why i like them so much. They truely are inspiring. When i go back to India next year, iam planning to work for some social cause and that’s definitely beacuse iam inspired by these two!! It might be something very small, but if each one of us does something small, it will substancially help a lot of people out there.

Curly, thanx again and i must say i love all your posts.

My personal opinion is the TGS is D.O.A. It has no GG noms and mixed reviews. Rocky Balboa might beat it Fri-Sun.

I saw TGS and it TOO long, slow moving and tedious which I guess is the same thing. The word of mouth won’t be great.

Ditzy/shitzy gal;

At what point did you think we care what you think? You’re meter ran out some time ago.

Thank you Jubilee for the info on the Krama. I really learn a lot by following BAMZS. I talked to a person I met at work the other day, who is Indian (from India). Told her about Mumbai, Agra, the Celebration of Lights, etc… she was so impressed. I didn’t tell her I just learnt those things after reading about BAMZS in India. LOL. She just came to the States about # years ago, and i have the impression that she doesn’t really care about any HW celebrities yet. i didn’t ask her about the subject, though.

The new Charlie Rose show with

ALEJANDRO GONZALEZ INARRITU
Director, “Babel”
ALFONSO CUARON
Director, “Children of Men”
GUILLERMO DEL TORO
Director, “Pan’s Labyrinth
all wonderful mexican directors.
was lovely and charming, and just incredibly interesting.
Please catch it if you can. you will not be disappointed, I promise.
I smiled all the way through it.
Just a wondeful hour.

Why are you so concerned?! You’re here asking a seriously asinine question and expecting an answer. Who are you that anyone should care that you think the traffic in a particular thread is more than in another?

As much as I have loved coming here, this is one thing I will not be missing at all.

Caption: **EXCLUSIVE** On Brad Pitt’s birthday a balloon van is seen leaving the gated community where he and Angelina Jolie have a home in East Hollywood.

The Biography Channe’s profile on Angelina Jolie is on. Looks like they added new material and news commentators on this. They showed clips of her film debut when she was 6 or 7.

Cliniqua, Scarborough is just like everyone else who’s looking for ratings so he constantly bashes B&A thinking that it has some kind of influence on them or his viewers. In his mind, they’re hated and their careers are over but if that were the case he wouldn’t be talking about them. Also, he’s a hypocrite because he does not hesitate judging people whatsoever, especially those who are outspoken about their politics like Rosie or Barbara Streisand (with the exception of JA) but he snapped when Chris Matthews did it to him during the midterm elections. It was funny because Chris kind of laughed it off and we all saw why he wasn’t chosen to be co-anchor that night.

Trump vs. Rosie….if I were Rosie my attitude would be like “Bring it B*tch!” I’m disappointed in BW for being neutral because heaven forbid she loses one of her high society friends. She actually went to his wedding to his current wife so she doesn’t want to upset him.

======================

Thank you Cliniqua. Wow. talking about skeleton in the closet. I never knew about this one. I knew about the Condit scandal though. So, this ScarJo guy has a show on CNBC? I don’t have cable tv, so I don’t know. Anyway, it doesn’t surprise me that he is bashing B&A. Reminds me of that Foley guy, or of the other gay politician guy who liked to pass anti-gay laws (I forgot his name). Bunch of hypocrites.
