Merry X’mas and Happy New Year to ALL fellow BAMZS fans!!!

Likewise, jjoy. Wanna wish you good tidings this holidays too…So bibisitihan mo kami dito sa Pinas, huh? Bawal pa rin ang mga firecrackers pero maramin pa rin ang patagong bumibili. People only learns the dangers of firecrackers and not taking safety precautions with Christmas lights when tragedies struck. Onli in d Philippines. Here’s hoping to a safer celebration of New Years not only in our country but may all people around the world have at least one day of peace.

Is that for real? I live in Costa Rica and this is the first time I’ve heard this.

Angelina Jolie spends Christmas day with refugees in Costa Rica

Actress Angelina Jolie spent Christmas Day with mainly Colombian refugees in San Jose, Costa Rica, as part of her work as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, known as the UNHCR.

Jolie arrived Monday and was to visit a group of refugee children and families and to meet Costa Rican officials, the UNHCR said in a statement. There are about 11,500 refugees in this Central American country, most of whom fled Colombia because of the conflict there between leftist guerrillas, soldiers and paramilitary forces.

“The conflict in Colombia is the greatest humanitarian tragedy in the Western Hemisphere, but it receives very little international attention,” the Oscar-winning actress said after she arrived in San Jose. “My Christmas message to Colombian refugees and to the millions of displaced people in Colombia is that the world has not totally forgotten them.”

An estimated three million Colombians have been forced from their homes by more than two decades of armed conflict, and most are internally displaced, essentially refugees in their own country.

Another 500,000 have fled to other countries of the region. Together, the press statement said, they make up the largest single population of concern to UNHCR anywhere in the world.

Jolie will visit several small businesses set up by refugees in San Jose with help from micro-loans from the U.N. agency. She also called for greater acceptance of refugees, who are often stigmatized.

“The best present we can give refugees is often a little more understanding and good will, not just at Christmas but all year long,” she said.

UNHCR said this was Jolie’s second trip to the region since she became a goodwill ambassador for the refugee agency in 2001, noting that she went to Ecuador in 2002 and later wrote a personal journal of her meetings with Colombian refugees in that country.

Hey AFRICAN GIRL! You need to institute a “rule” that no paper may be left unfolded! My Dad did that this year - and he WATCHED us to make sure we all did it too! We managed to put 9 people’s wrappings in a little tote size paper bag! LOL And 2 of them were from golf carts, so not small at all! :roll: We recycle up here, and you have to have it all folded. From 23 to 93 (almost) we all folded our paper - or we wouldn’t have any more presents! :lol:

^^^

Thank you so much. I decided to check in, and how wonderful that this is the first thing my eyes landed on. This is what I’d rather focus on than wading through the back and forth bull that can’t seem to find a way to die.

Although Angelina doesn’t profess a particular faith, she is still so representitive of what Luke 12:48 says “to whom much is given, much will be required.” I think its beautiful that she practices what she preaches especially at those times when she could easily excuse herself from it all and retreat into the comforts of celebrity, but she and Brad made an unselfish choice to be with others who don’t share the same options. Beautiful.

LOL. So True!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THIS IS DEDICATED TO THE JOLIE-PITT FAMILY AND TO ALL THEIR FANS AT JJ.

In life there are moments, when you miss
someone so much, that you wish you could
grab them out of your dreams and hug them tight!

When a door closes,
Another one opens,
But often we stand there so long looking
at the closed door,
That we do not see that one that’s opened.

Do not look at physical appearances,
they can be deceiving.
Do not look at riches,
For they are only temporary.
Look for someone who makes you smile.
Because sometimes it only takes a smile to brighten up a very dark day.
Look for someone who makes
your heart sing.

Dream what you want to dream;
Go where you want to go;
Try to be who you really are;
Because life is short,
And often only gives one chance to do things.

I wish you in life a lot of luck to feel good;
Many trials to remain strong;
Some tears to remain human;
Lots of hope, to become happy.

The really lucky people do not necessarily
have the best of everything.
They are the ones who make the most of
whatever life throws at them.

The most splendid future will always depend
Upon the necessity to release the past;
You cannot move forward in life
Unless you learn from your past mistakes
and move on.

When you were born you were
crying, while everybody around you was
smiling.
Always live your life smiling even when
other people around you are crying.

Life is not measured with the quantity of breaths you take,
but with the quantity of moments that took your breath away.

Therefore…

Good Luck …

african girl, leaving now stay well & healthy, stay happy, and stay loved

take care you all

you too bemba
