A FEW OF THEIR FAVORITE THINGS :: Julia Roberts and Dakota Fanning are featured in this week’s Life Magazine, where they chat about why great friends, good books, and beloved pets matter — especially during the holidays. Here’s an excerpt:
LIFE: Have the twins seen you on the screen at all?
ROBERTS: I think my son saw me on TV once for a split second and said “Mommy!” But when Hazel sees any mom figure in a book, she says “Mommy.”LIFE: You’re both Georgia-born girls who knit. Are either of you knitting anything for Christmas?
ROBERTS: I’m currently knitting an orange sweater for myself.
FANNING: I’m really bad, because I haven’t even knit my sister [Elle, 8] a scarf.
ROBERTS: You should get on it. Get yourself some big needles. You know what’s fun is knitting a poncho.
Charlotte’s Web opened last weekend, racking in $11.45 million.

Dakota is adorable and I have always enjoyed her acting (okay except maybe War of the Worlds where all she seemed to do was scream).
