Back to back Wentworth Miller posts! Belated Christmas gift?
Wentworth Miller was the guest of honor earlier today (late afternoon) aboard the luxury vessel, the AQA at a Sydney Harbor Cruise in Australia. This was in celebration of Foxtel’s new television deal with Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution. Pictured with Went below: Aussie actor Joel Edgerton and former Wheel of Fortune host Sophie Falkiner.
For you Prison Break fans out there, mark your calendars! There will be a PB recap episode on Jan. 8, which will also include a preview of the remaining nine episodes and interviews with cast members Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, Sarah Wayne Callies, William Fichtner, Wade Williams, Paul Adelstein, Robert Knepper and Silas Weir Mitchell. PB is also returning on Jan. 22, not Jan. 29.

UPDATE :: You can now download Wentworth Miller’s radio interview Aussie radio station Nova 96.9 from earlier today! Went chats with host Zoe about everything from his PB tattoos (yawn), his favorite book (we already knew that), Giorgio Armani styling him for events, and his biggest fan — a pre-pubescent 11-year-old boy.

We saw Went as he was boarding the boat for the Fox cruise. At the time that boxergirl, and a dear friend of mine named Mary, were getting pictures with him, I declined the offer, saying he was already late and I didn’t want to hold him up any longer. While the photogs were taking their pictures, his PA (I think her name is Pam? I’ve seen her in the pictures from Cannes) came up to me and slipped a little plastic baggie into my hand. I thanked her and didn’t think much of it. When I looked at what was in the baggie, it was a set of Prison Break thumbcuffs! :-)
Once the boat had left for the cruise, we had a short dalliance to my house where we chatted and squeed, boxergirl headed home and Mary, myself and another friend made our way back to where the boat has departed from. Lucky for us, about fifteen minutes after we arrived, the boat returned.
As the boat pulled in to dock, Mary began waving. When I hissed at her not to ‘make a scene’ she replied ‘but he waved first’. :-) So we sat back and waited for him to get back onto dry land, but not before he’d shaken hands with every single crew member on the boat and thanked them for the cruise. Once he got onto the dock, he came straight for us. While I tried ever so hard to keep my composure and smiled up at him, he said “we have a present for you, but you have to have somewhere to stash it… “, then he revelead a bottle of Moet & Chandon under his jacket, which he handed to me. He dropped the bottle into the bag I was carrying and said “Enjoy!” (note: we demolished it the second we got home.).
I then asked if it would be alright to take the picture I declined earlier in the day and Pam (I think that’s her name) was all - jokingly - “Oh, so *now* you want the picture!”. There was some joking back and forth before I managed to finally get my picture with Went. My very smart best friend pretended the camera wasn’t working so she could snap some extra pictures. :-)
We took a moment to ask if he would be in Sydney for New Years and he replied “Sadly, no. I’ll be back in LA”. So we wished him a happy new year, thanked him for his time and wished him well for the rest of his stay. Then I floated home on a cloud. What an unbelievable day. :-)
Prison Break thumbcuffs!! I want a pair for myself!!

Lola, that is more wishful thinking on their part (even some of my gay friends say that). The thing is that being straight can never officially be proven. Not like with being gay. Once you say it (gay), that is it, you are gay but if you truly are straight and you say “I am straight” then you are a homophobe or you are in the closet. Even if you get married a bunch of jealous queens will call your wife a beard and disrespect your kids and family. I adore gay men but honestly, the majority of ones I know I don’t think are all that attractive. I find maybe 5 percent to be attractive (cute) the rest, ehh… Never really thought Nate was cute.
I like Went, he could be gay and then again he may not be. Like I said, I don’t know him personally. I know everyday guys like him who are without gf’s mostly because they have pie in the sky ideals about what they want in a woman, delivered curtesy of your friendly neighborhood Hollywood dream factory. But that pie-in-the-sky thing can be turned back on some people here (on this board) who are so wrapped up in Went that they are concerned with his sexuality. A few people in the gay community say it is about support (like Perez but I notice he isn’t well liked) but I don’t think so because the first thing they do is start screamin “He’s one of ours” and tsking straight women for having a crush on him, but like in the straight community, most of these people would never have a chance with him because they don’t travel in his circles anyway. Being gay wouldn’t be enough and therefore would be another pie-in-the-sky wish. He is somewhere in the clouds and the mortals are down here on earth. The thing is everything in Hollywood is based on creating a dream, building a fantasy, making people believe and straight women don’t fall in love with gay men unless they are idiots (not because it is wrong but because it isn’t going to go anywhere). That’s why they make sooo much money. If it were more realistic, no one would come here to do films and the wood wouldn’t make a thing. If Went were gay, the fantasy would be destroyed for about 95% of the women out there. Face it, that is where the money is, it is a show of Donny Osmond syndrome at it’s strongest. His options would be limited in terms of role choices (plus he doesn’t have a lot of work under his belt and hasn’t really stretched enough for character roles) so his career would be even more limited. Yes society isn’t fair but that will never change. Racism, sexism, prejudice will never go away as long as there are people walking the earth. It seems to stream in peaks and valleys, stronger some times weaker at others but never truly nil.
All in all, I’m just saying that whichever way people lean, try to be a little more respectful to the guy. He seems very kind and considerate especially to his fans when most actors are jerks. I’d hate to see that change because of a bunch of deranged fans (straight or gay). Sorry for the rant.

I think his jacket is cute but it is true. He isn’t the best dresser.
Yeah I do not really get his fashion style. Granted until about a month ago I had NO IDEA who he was but I do have to say that what I have seen of him it is not his “fashion” style that has made me a fan. He seems to alwasy be wearing clothes that make his face looked washed out or make him look too old. Oh well maybe someone out there can help him or at least try. Heaven knows I could even do a better job at picking out clothes for him and I am not even a stylist. LOL! I guess maybe it might help put some of those “gay” rumors to rest because I really do not know too many “gay” men that would wear that jacket with those slacks…JMO! LOL!!!

I agree with you Tiki (if I understand well): we should not forget that business is behind all this, and I must add that the movies industry needs weak women to make a confusion between dream and reality, Michael Scofield and Wentworth Miller. I feel uneasy about that because they make money with that heart weakness (typical to women). But I can’t believe that Mr. Miller is not aware of his sex appeal : he should know by now !
I am a PB fan (from France), but surprisingly, I dont like the reason why (would I have liked the show without the hot crew ?). Weakness, weakness…
