OlderMr & Mrs Smith Hits Small Screen
A one-hour pilot of Mr. & Mrs. Smith was just given the green light, which is being described as ” ‘Married … With Children’ with guns.” SERIOUSLY?
Here’s what The Hollywood Reporter is saying:
The film’s writer, Simon Kinberg, penned the pilot script, about John and Jane Smith, a married couple who both work as assassins.
The film’s director, Doug Liman, is on board to helm the pilot and executive produce with Kinberg and Dave Bartis.
The pilot takes place about six months after the events in the 2005 feature starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, which grossed more than $186 million in North America. The Smiths have bought a new house in a new suburb and have re-established their businesses, but the attraction and sexual spark they had found at movie’s end has dwindled, and they are back dealing with marital issues.
“In a way, the show is all about the marriage,” Kinberg said. “It is a show about any married couple trying to balance professional and home life.”

I don’t read TedC or any other tabloid for that matter, but I know this is complete BS.
This is a woman with kids, why would she leave him so frivolously? She wanted a father for her children, why would she shuck it all just because, as this TedC is trying to imply, “she’s lost that loving feeling”?
I’m sure their relationship will face both hills, valleys and triumphs in the future, things that will be extremely hard to surmount even, they will be tried and tested like everyone else, but to make it seem as if they would give up on each other so easily after having worked so hard to be there for their kids, is ridiculous. It’s an attempt IMO to cheapen their relationship and plays on the idea that people have that in “Hollyweird” people are serious about love or committment. An idea that has always struck me as strange, sense some of the craziest stories I’ve heard about relationships ending happened no where near “Hollyweird” but in regular old everyday life.

ITA with you lula29. Let’s play the OJ Simpson game and try to be in AJ’s shoes. “If I leave BP, here would be my reasons”:
1-I am utterly bored. Reality: hard to imagine, with everything going on in her life. Some critics even think she is trying to do too much.
2-Bread does not treat me well. Reality: People blame BP for doing everything to follow AJ (flying, adopting, 3rd word country charity…), and we all know from his past relationships that he is a gentleman.
3-Brad is a bad father to my kids. Wrong again. The guy has longed for kids for so long.
4-Brad is not a good lover. Well, this I can’t answer. All I know is he seems to be a romantic. His performance in bed, only AJ can be the judge now. Will she sacrifice her kids’ happiness for a better sex life? I don’t think so. She always said she puts her kids’ happiness above everything else.
5-We argue about money. Not likely, since they both have a bunch. But who knows? But will she be better off financially on her own? Not likely.
OK, what else can AJ complain about? I am at the end of my rope.
