OlderMr & Mrs Smith Hits Small Screen
A one-hour pilot of Mr. & Mrs. Smith was just given the green light, which is being described as ” ‘Married … With Children’ with guns.” SERIOUSLY?
Here’s what The Hollywood Reporter is saying:
The film’s writer, Simon Kinberg, penned the pilot script, about John and Jane Smith, a married couple who both work as assassins.
The film’s director, Doug Liman, is on board to helm the pilot and executive produce with Kinberg and Dave Bartis.
The pilot takes place about six months after the events in the 2005 feature starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, which grossed more than $186 million in North America. The Smiths have bought a new house in a new suburb and have re-established their businesses, but the attraction and sexual spark they had found at movie’s end has dwindled, and they are back dealing with marital issues.
“In a way, the show is all about the marriage,” Kinberg said. “It is a show about any married couple trying to balance professional and home life.”

You are so right Dragonfly. Our secretary at work only reads the tabs, she doesn’t blog, or even read news on the internet, so she thought Vaughniston was the real deal, while Brangelina was not. I told her months ago, in june 06 mind you, that Vince is not really into Jen. I didn’t want to rub it in when the news of them splitting hit the tabs. She even believes that Brad still loves Jen and wants to get back with her!

ITA. My best friend and I got into an argument (useless, I know, but sometimes you can’t help it) because she said that Brad is definitely leaving Angelina now that _ and VV have broken up. And I ask what about Shiloh? And she said that _ is now ready to have a child so Brad will just leave Shiloh with Angie and go back to _. As if! I couldn’t believe it and asked her where she read it from? She said the tabs and I said sarcastically, “Oh, so L&S said so and you believe it?” And she said, “Why not? They’ve always been right before, especially about the affair between Brad and Angelina.”
This discussion was at our partners’ office Christmas party … I really had to control myself and just calmed down despite my anger at my friend’s smugness. I know she has always been an _ fan so we try not to discuss BAMZS and _, but sometimes she gets carried away because of her hatred of anything BAMZS. Of course we’re still friends, but I just don’t bite anymore — whenever she brings up I just change the topic. None are blinder than those who would not see.

How anybody could think that is beyond me. The story about Brad bringing Shiloh to meet X is the absolute worst! haha!! That story was written to appeal to the trailer park divas and welfare queens who might actually do something like that themselves with their own kids and their own Xes, so they can feel they have something in common with movie stars. Too bad the people that believe that story
can’t relate to the fact that X and Brad no longer travel in the same circles, unlike everyday people who divorce and still have to live in the same town (or trailer park, ha!) and have to intermittenly deal with each other because of work or economics.

The only holdouts now are the trailer parkers, the MiniVan Majority, the FF heifers and my best friend. And they are not in the majority as they would like to believe!

MMS fascinated me, I couldn’t get enough of it so I watched it many times. I can’t imagine them recreating the magic of that movie on television. Brad and Angelina are a very tough act to follow and filling their roles would be a real challenge.
I guess I’m stupid but I don’t understand why such a big deal is made of Angelina’s “wild behavior” because I don’t see anything she did that was so bad. She was just a young person trying to figure herself and her life out. It’s not like other people in Hollywood haven’t done worse they just keep it well hidden. Besides Angelina is much, much more than her so called “wild behavior”. She also managed to grow up, something many in HW (and all over the world) never manage to do. She has a beautiful heart and once she figured that out she has put it to good use. I feel sorry for people who condemn Angelina because to me they are as lost as she once was, but I have no hope, that they, will ever change.

And my mother! Yep. Even my own mother totally bought in it and believes __ has been wronged. I don’t discuss it with her anymore either, lol!
As for the tabs, I would think they better watch their step in printing so many stories about the J-P kids. Zen master or not, Papa Bear is gonna get pi$$ed if they keep it up.

They all think she is Rachel Green and needs to be protected and taken care of somehow. Bleck. If they knew how she really was they would hate her. I guess that’s why __ spends so much of her energy keeping that Rachel image going. I have a ten year old niece who is named Rachel….and yeah, her mom (hubby’s sis) named her that after the TV show. Of course she also tapes all the soaps and watches them everyday, reads tabs, etc…. I don’t even talk to her at all. She has not one interesting thing to say because none of her ideas are her own.

That is ridiculous! Angie did say that hopefully alot of the interest in them would die down after a while. I hope so, too. But I doubt it. They are just so different than any other celebs right now (so much so that they caught *my* interest and I usually don’t give a stinky what celebs do), and they will continue to be targets because they have chosen the road less traveled. People like me and you will support them and wish the best for them, and people who don’t understand them will continue to ridicule them. It’s easier to put down what you don’t understand than it is to actually learn about it.

Unfortunately, my family is eat up with dumb-a$$ redneck disease. Very few are ever cured. I was always immune to this disorder and ventured, unafraid, outside their cultural bubble, therefore I am considered strange. I know the world does not drop off into an abyss at the county line.

I mentioned several times that I adore BA since the MAMS unrated came out, then I began to notice their news nowhere else but the tabloits, at that time I really believed what they reported and I did not know how to blog yet until 1 or 2 months ago. Every news is negative, I was very upset to the point it bothered my mood the whole day (seriously). Every week when I lurked those magazines in the superstore, I prayed for something positive came out, but nooooo it became worse and worse.
I also notice that the media is pro _ most of the time. Especially Showbiz Tonight Hammer and Brooke Anderson. You can see from their facial expression that they don’t like AJ. Every time they tell stories about AJ, even if positive, they add something negative to remind people “the Homewrecker,cheating, the polls…” things. Just like the Vogue issue, they brought up The View comments of Elisabeth and Joy, but out of context especially from Joy. I believe that people who are not blogging around will believe those comments.
I am glad that I found this site, I no longer upset about the negative news. I enjoy reading the smart comments and analysis from fan of this site. They are smart, witty and entertaining. Also since I saw AJ’ interviews lately, I can see that this couple is going stronger and stronger, true love, IMO I think AJ loves BP to death, she can do anything for him…
The only thing that I am upset now is one of the magazine, I forgot which one is pulling Shiloh in the fighting ring. They report that _ is insane because of Shiloh something like that….. or wants to meet Shiloh…… It’s ridiculous, outraged and so low for those magazine. How can they use Shiloh like that!!! she is just a little girl.
By the way, I am not going to respond, I am going to work now, but still lurking.

OK I’m out of lurking mode because the whole triangle thing gets on my nerves. I don’t believe in the way my roommate still harps on it. I’ve actually started to provoke her while she gets ready for work, she will get so upset she is late for work. haha. It’s like aversion therapy. Instead of her pushing my buttons, I come up with pre-emptive strikes at the worst possible times for her. It’s fun and it works and it drives her crazy, so satisfying for me.
One more thing before I go, I am glad that AJ doesnt care about how or what people think about her. she is my girl.
