Demi Channels Dita
Demi Moore takes the cover of Vanity Fair February 2007, channeling burlesque artist Dita Von Teese. Demi dishes on her husband, her body, and why she never ages.
Demi Moore left Hollywood to escape the tabloids and raise her three kids. A decade later, at 44, she’s back, with one hot young husband and two upcoming movies: Mr. Brooks and Flawless. Krista Smith finds out how Demi does it. Photographs by Mario Testino.
Her three kids being the three daughters with ex-husband Bruce Willis – Rumer, 18, Scout, 15, and Tallulah, 12. Here are some choice quotes from the Vanity Fair interview:
- Describing hubby Ashton: “At the risk of sounding really cliché, he’s really an old soul.”
- On wanting more kids: “Once you hit three, where you’re outnumbered, it’s really like, ‘What’s the difference between (three or) four or five?’ For me, the most important thing that I’ve contributed is my children.”
- On doing Broadway: “Ashton and I tease each other about doing The Graduate on Broadway.”
- On having her kids check in with her: “I’m definitely a bit overprotective, maybe because I have girls. When they go out, I have them check in continually the entire night. … The fact that they are happy to check in and let me know how they are and where they are, that they don’t see it as a drag, is a real gift.”
- Of her romance with Ashton: “I think it caught us both by surprise. … If somebody would have said, ‘OK, here is the prediction: You’re going to meet a man 25 years old and he’s going to see being with you and having your three kids as a bonus,’ I would have said, ‘Keep dreaming.’ ”
- On her super fit body: “Here’s the amazing thing. When I stepped away (from Hollywood), which was on the heels of G.I. Jane, I’d been on a long physical run of absolutely manipulating and forcing my body. … I thought, I just have to stop. I actually stopped exercising and started to eat in a way that was very reasonable. And the amazing thing is, my body transformed closer to what I always hoped for. [But] being thin does not equate to happiness.”

WOW!!!!!
How many GREEN EYE MONSTERS are there out there????
If you think 44 is old you must be a Paris, Britney type, if she has
had work done SO what, there are 24 yr, olds getting all kinds of
surgery……. and who said she has to share it with the public
she is in the look good business ….. and that’s what she’s doing,
so stop hateing.
As for Ashton he is being well served, and by now is at the top of his
game himself….. a win .. win.. situation. Oh yeah!!!
The point is she is trying to make is sound like she did this all by herself… that is the bit I think most people are finding hard to believe. LOL.
Everyone thinks 44 is ‘old’ until they get there.
No matter at what age, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, your self perception is that you are always 18 or 20 something.
Aging is sad because you think of yourself as twenty but others look at you as old.
