OlderBrad Pitt Filming in the Caribbean
Brad Pitt (dressed in a Lacoste polo) and Cate Blanchett were spotted filming scenes earlier today in the Caribbean for their new film, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Thank goodness Brad’s character ages backwards because all that baldness and that fat suit did not suit him. Plus, it gave him pimples.
A zit for Mr. Pitt? Well, according to Cate, the fat suit and the prosthetic make-up Brad had to wear caused him to break out in a rash. Cate told Scotland’s Daily Record newspaper: “We went through three weeks of make-up tests and he was covered in eczema from it all. We were talking about what we were going to do because our skin was taking a battering. So I had this girlie conversation with him and put these skin creams down, lined them up in front of him and he and Angelina went around the table trying them. Brad is so smart and generous. He’s so wonderful I love him. I don’t love him in the sense that I love my husband, but I adore him.”
A little more about the plot: As Brad’s character (Benjamin Button) regains his youth, Cate’s character (Daisy) grows older. The movie’s million dollar question: Will their love continue to grow? (I also wonder how young Brad’s character will get in the film.)
Brad, 43, and Cate, 37, were also seen taking a lunch break after filming a few scenes on a sailboat named “BUTTON UP.” Below the boat name is “NEW ORLEANS.” The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is directed by David Fincher (Panic Room, Fight Club, Se7en) and is set for a release between Christmas 2007 and May 2008. Light years away…

dina - I read the article, and i thought it was a wonderful interview until that part.
I understood it perfectly, and that is totally what the vibe she was giving was. She said “I feel so much MORE for Mad and Z because….” She feels feels (i.e., loves) them more…”I have less inclination to feel for her.”
She says she has to REMIND herself to feel the same about Shiloh, meaning that in her heart, she loves Z and Mad more. WHO DOES THAT? Someone who regrets or feels guilty about having biological children. Thats completely messed up.
You know, I’ve disagree with the marriage issue, but in the end concluded that Brad and Angie seem to be happy in the situation that they’re in and they’re as or more comitted to each other and their family as any married couple. And other than that, I’ve loved and supported them since BEFORE they even got together as a couple, seperately and apart. I’ve loved Angie in all incarnations, young Angie, grown up Angie, you name it.
But saying you love your adopted children more and that you have to consciouisly remind yourself to feel and treat your BIOLOGICAL DAUGHTER the same as your adopted chidren is simply fucked up.

I dont think she meant love when she said feels. I think she meant she automatically felt for mad and zee because of the situation they came from. I mean if they were never adopted they might be dead right now. Shiloh has had it made in the shade from the moment she was conceived. wth is up with that article where they say she dissed madge? I dont think that was a diss.

Hold your roll already! Damn, you’re taking her way to literally. If you’re familier with Angelina Jolie at all, you know part of her being so honest and speaking frank, is that she sometimes has to be deciphered. She’s not deliberatly speaking in some code language, but she is winging it; off the cuff and it’s wonderful. She’s saying simply that Shiloh came to this world without the issues that may face Madd/Zahara. It doesn’t matter that they’re the children of Jolie-Pitt, they are still of color, they are still adopted, and they are still part of a world that if you haven’t noticed was willing to pay millions of dollars to see photographs of their blond, blue eyed sister. Angelina is saying she’s aware of the overcompenstation of her other children she and Brad probably do, and how it may affect Shiloh, and to make sure that never assume that because Shiloh by virtue of birth won’t be faced with her own set of problems. You can’t possibly believe she isn’t as loved are adored by her parents, unless of course that’s what you want to believe.

I think you read what you wanted to in the interview, mainly negativity. AJ feels for children born in these 3rd world horrors. Maddox and Zahara came from such places. Shiloh is a beloved child but she is a child born of two wealthy parents and will be a child of privilege. If BP and AJ had not adopted Mad and Zahara then more than likely they would have died (particularly Zahara) or born a life of servitude or abuse. Therefore she feels compassion for them and a sense of “if not for the grace of God” these children will not have survived. There are many people in Hollywood that want the perfect blue-eyed blonde children. It takes a special couple of BP and AJ compassion and magnitude to look beyond the WASP superficial and adopt children of color. I admire them for doing so. Maddox, Zahara and Shiloh are greatly loved. Maddox and Zahara are truly blessed to have been adopted by BP and AJ.

Relax, Shiloh will be fine. I think what she meant was she didn’t have that feeling of compassion when she first set eyes in Shiloh, while she did with Madd and Z.
I know what you mean, she felt compassion for Madd and Z because of the situation in which she found them, like she had to save them. Shiloh was born into privelege, and into the love in her parents’ eyes. No need for compassion there!

Feeling compassionate=Feeling sorry for. Why would she feel sorry for Shiloh? As any mom, looking at her newborn baby, she probably was filled with love, joy and pride, not compassion. Remember the People article on the birth of S? I have the issue on my lap right now, I will copy some of the things James Haven said. “There’s a genuine love I was overwhelmed with”. “I walked in the room and it was so overwhelming I had to walk out”, Haven tells People of seeing his sister, proud dad BP and brand new-niece together post delivery. “To see the father, mother, daughter–it was such a beautiful image that it overtook me.”

FITR, are you “irina” on Bradforums? This discussion has taken up about 5 or 6 pages on Bradforums and it was started by “irina”. This is a no-brainer, really!

It is also amazing how “AJ does not love Shiloh” discussion is at Female First and also The Guardian Article. It seems that every negative, spiteful article or discussion that lands at Just Jared can be traced back to the hens at Female First. Things that make you say hmmm. Those hens never give up. They have made a vow to fight to the death or until another Golden Couple comes along.

Little Bradley is getting heavier. He loves when somebody talks to him. I saw how his mom talks to him back. Whatever sound, noise he made mom will do the same sounds and he will laugh loud…so very very cute. He got a lot of clothes and stuffy animals. I gave him money for his bank account.

What she is saying is that she feels for their situation more. Not that she loved Shiloh less than Madd and Zee but that she is concerned for them in the larger scheme of things, their position in the family etc. Shiloh, by blood has two sets of grand-parents, aunt and uncles that will feel a natural pull for her. Shiloh, (which is why she qualifies her statement) will never lack an identity. The other children will. Angie recognizes that Shiloh occupies a very special status based on the biological bond she shares with her mother and father. The media and everyone else has already started to place her above the other children. It would be negligent of Angie not to be conscious of their special situation. That’s what she means.
Angie’s situation reminds me of Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway - who has a son who is not the biological son of her husband, The Crown Prince ,and two royal children. Her first son is not royal born and at times he cannot be included in some royal events, in much the same way as her other two children. The media and people in general often draw a distinction between the children and seem more accepting of the royal children than her non royal child. For their part, The Crown Prince and Princess seemed to be mindful of the situation (like Angie) and seem to have a special understanding of Marius’s (that’s the child’s name) situation. It does not mean they do not love the other children, it means they know that people will not always accept Marius so they try to give him special understanding.
