OlderBrad Pitt Filming in the Caribbean
Brad Pitt (dressed in a Lacoste polo) and Cate Blanchett were spotted filming scenes earlier today in the Caribbean for their new film, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Thank goodness Brad’s character ages backwards because all that baldness and that fat suit did not suit him. Plus, it gave him pimples.
A zit for Mr. Pitt? Well, according to Cate, the fat suit and the prosthetic make-up Brad had to wear caused him to break out in a rash. Cate told Scotland’s Daily Record newspaper: “We went through three weeks of make-up tests and he was covered in eczema from it all. We were talking about what we were going to do because our skin was taking a battering. So I had this girlie conversation with him and put these skin creams down, lined them up in front of him and he and Angelina went around the table trying them. Brad is so smart and generous. He’s so wonderful I love him. I don’t love him in the sense that I love my husband, but I adore him.”
A little more about the plot: As Brad’s character (Benjamin Button) regains his youth, Cate’s character (Daisy) grows older. The movie’s million dollar question: Will their love continue to grow? (I also wonder how young Brad’s character will get in the film.)
Brad, 43, and Cate, 37, were also seen taking a lunch break after filming a few scenes on a sailboat named “BUTTON UP.” Below the boat name is “NEW ORLEANS.” The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is directed by David Fincher (Panic Room, Fight Club, Se7en) and is set for a release between Christmas 2007 and May 2008. Light years away…

Brief: Major Movie to Film Scenes on Lindqvist Beach

Dec. 28, 2006 –- A Paramount movie starring major Hollywood actors will be filming sequences on St. Thomas next week. The movie, The Mysterious Case of Benjamin Button, is adapted from an F. Scott Fitzgerald short story.
Solicitor General Elliott McIver Davis said Thursday that he has helped with the legalities of obtaining a Coast Zone Management permit for the film company to work on Lindqvist Beach, which was recently acquired by the V.I. government.
Scenes also will be shot at Honeymoon Bay on Water Island, Davis said.
Normally i would never give Blanchett the light of day. But since she is associated with Brad , now she is hot. Even thought i know different. This the power Of BP, he can make anybody look good.

Thanks! It was really a no-brainer for me, after I saw Troy and then started blogging here and saw that no one had as yet chosen “Briseis”. Some posters have also commented on how they love my chosen moniker. Now, if I can just translate it to reality, being his love slave and all … ha ha ha! Julia Ormond’s character in Legends was Susannah Fincannon Ludlow — it’s okay but doesn’t stand out — maybe Isabelle Two Ludlow would stand out more? After all, Tristan did marry Izzy.

So papa Pitt is back to work. The only thing this man have to do is save and cut his hair a little bit shorter and he is looking like he is in his twenties. And his body is still to die for! I really like his clothes too. I like Cate with her hair like that and her classic 60’s pair of sunglasses. I though they would have left Caribbean by now but apparently they are still there.
Does anyone know when the movie will be released??

BAMZS are there from Jan 1 and they are about to stay for 4 days of filming.(So I bet today is their last day there). And they are staying in Cannel Bay not to mention that they have been extremely guarded and that is why we haven’t seen any pictures of them out and about.

So you totally know how I’m feeling. I imagine they probably rented “Cottage 7″ which is the private compound on Scott Beach that the Rockafellers would stay in. It’s totally isolated from the rest of the resort. We stayed on Scott Beach for our honeymoon and you could walk to one end of the beach and see a set of stairs leading down to the beach from the cottage. We were in room 70 and everytime we would give our room number the people would question us if we were saying room 7-D or room 70. We found out then that the cottage rooms are broken up into 7A, 7B, 7C and 7D.
It is sooooo beautiful. It really holds a special place in my heart. I can just imagine the fun that Maddox is having there, the snorkeling is insane. Right on Scott beach we had sea turtles swimming with us, sting rays. I snorkled for hours there.
Gosh, I’m making myself depressed.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
They are staying at Caneel Bay on Saint John which is where we went for our Honeymoon - I knew it would be there.
It is sooooo exquisite and a private compound with 7 private beaches, only registered guests can come in on the dock and be on any of the beaches. When we were there it was like we were the only two people there.

Oh, I know how you feel! I was in St. Thomas 6 months ago and it is so beautiful it can bring tears to your eyes! I love the fact they are filming part of the movie there, the Jolie-Pitt family will have an amazing and relaxing time while in the Virgin Islands. You’re welcome. I wouldn’t be surprised if they stayed a little longer. Caneel is extremely romantic, it’s lit up with torches at night. It’s intoxicating really. I felt like a princess there. We so want to take our kids there some day because they see the pictures and we tell them how amazing it was. But it’s soooo expensive, so I don’t know if we’ll ever make it back. Just to have that feeling again that we had there, it was magical. I cry every time I think about it.

Re: Hello Magazine. The way the finalists are determined are through monthly contests that run over the year. Each month there are six women in Attractive and six in elegant and then six men in the male category. Brad is in the current (January) male category right now. Although the last I looked Sean Bean was first in the male yearly vote off, Orlando Bloom and Clive Owen have huge fan clubs who seem to vote daily with both of them getting over 20,000 votes on the monthly. Angie may not make it either–the queens and princesses also have huge fan clubs. I’m just hoping Britney Spears doesn’t win. The thought of that gives me the want to blow chunks syndrome! I’m kind of brain dead this a.m., but Nicole Kidman has been a past winner I believe several times. As you can tell, I’m a Hello Magazine reader online!

Lainey probably got her tip about them vacationing in the area for the holidays from someone working on the movie set. I can’t stop at looking at Mr Pitt’s pictures. Everytime I think of Bringing Sexy Back, I think of The Jolie-Pitts. Hollywood was sorta stale don’t you think with ref to sexiness before MAMS-But when these 2 hooked up on screen the e- was like splitting the atom!-Jolie was already sexy and Brad well, I really never thought of him as sexy, just smart, articulate and cute. But from the moment he looked at her in the first scene of MAMS, I was like-Hold up! Then the Bogata dance happened and it was just over. JA should have filed right after that scene because it was evident to me that these 2 were gonna have a future. They totally brought sexy back. In fact, my little boy (the 7yo) is obsessed with anyword that has sex in it. Another kid beat me to the punch when explaining sex. The kid told him sex is when 2 ppl get naked and rub their butts together. When my son asked me I told him THAT IS NOT TRUE! It’s just what “Christian’s” parents do (of course Christian is the little boy who told him that). Anyway the kid wants to know who invented sex anyway-well you know I had to tell him-This guy named Brad Pitt and his wife Angelina! Yep they invented it!

I think Mary is deserving ‘Mediterranean’. I too love Rania but Mary has a larger fan base at the moment. The Britney run-up is probably a disgruntled group who want to stick it to HELLO. Two years ago there was a group incensed that Aishwarya Rai didn’t win even though her numbers were through the roof. Apparently there was some computer rigging that slammed the votes for her and HELLO recognized it and didn’t give her the title. Could be retribution to the mag via the Britney votes.
