the thing is she says it’s what the fans read, turning them off. i’m not sure she gets that it’s what we SEE, not read.

Umm… “absolutely no strings attached” who the hell does she think she is kidding!? She has two very innocent little strings attached… her children. Where does she leave these children at all hours of the night and day while she is busy showing off her junk?

Britney will release again and, with adequate marketing, sell enormously large amouts of records. This behavoir will serve as nothing but a catalyst in a country that rewards publicity in any form with the only thing it has: money. Write whatever you see fit but don’t be so typically ignorant, you may not approve of her actions but they will NOT prevent her from selling records in America. In Europe? We buy what we enjoy, regardless of what an artist does in their personal time, so if the material is of a high quality it will sell, and after these “atrocious actions” it is unlikely that she will release anything but top class pop, and make more money than any of us ever will. And fair play! Well done Brit, screw ‘um, what you do is your choice, not any conservative American’s.

Showing your privates three or four times to the public, partying, getting drunk almost every night, probably doing drugs, smoking, and overall acting like a immature childish pop tart is not something the public will forget. She’s a mother of two. If she’s getting drunk at night, having a hang over in the morning, and passing out at clubs, when exactly does she take care of her kids?

From your blog, it sounds as though you think Americans are conservative and ignorant. Congratulations on making a blanket statement and ignorant generalization about people. Well done. Being a liberal myself, and having family that lives in Europe, I have generally agreed with European politics. America certainly has it’s problems and I will be the first to acknowledge them but please, get off your high horse. In America, Europeans are often perceived as having a high opinion of themselves and you certainly have projected that nicely. Good for you!

In regards to Britney Spears, you obviously like her music. That’s your opinion and I respect that. In my opinion, there is no such thing as “top class pop” and honestly, Britney Spears has very little talent to begin with. There will always be people, especially young people, who will buy her albums because they like her presentation. Many of us, however, do not suscribe to the culture of raunch, which is exactly what Britney Spears represents along with Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan and others. If you do suscribe to that, then fine, buy her albums. I personally don’t care for her music or how she handles the media attention. I believe that she is behaving in this fashion because she seeks the same audience that once bought her albums. Fortunately, people are growing tired of her routine.

And one last thing, to write that all America has is money is one of the most ridiculous comments I have ever read over the internet.

I think she needs a time out. Stop all the partying and madness for a few months. Make people wonder where is Brtiney Spears. Try hard to clean up this mess. That said I have never bought any of her music. I am not her target audience which is made up mostly of very young girls and teens. I am a woman in her 30s with a professional job husband and three year old daughter. Now if my child starts to emulate her then we have a problem. Till then I like everyone is watching the train wreck. Always thought Christina was the more talented of the two. Seems she is also the more clever one as well. She sure cleaned up nice and found a nice chap… Britney should also try some of that…
