Brad Pitt And The Skipper Too
Brad Pitt rode the “Red Hooker” and enjoyed a beer and ciggy stick in the Virgin Islands earlier this week, on break from filming The Case of Benjamin Button co-starting Cate Blanchett. More pictures of baby Zahara playing on the beach with her nanny and bodyguard after the jump!
Here are some select quotes from Angelina Jolie’s interview with Elle UK:
- On looking for the right somebody: “I wanted was to find somebody who, first and foremost, was a great father, because I was already a parent.”
- On Brad being amazing: “We came together because we’re similar. He’s a really amazing father - he didn’t just become that around me. He’s a thoughtful, intelligent man.”
- On Maddox, Zahara, and Shiloh: “The world has this opinion about the difference, then you wonder if there is a difference. In fact I found the opposite. I think I feel so much more for Madd and Zee because they’re survivors, they came through so much. In some way they’re strangers because they had this life before me. Shiloh seemed so privileged from the moment she was born, I have less inclination to feel for her. I have to do the opposite from what I expected! I met my other kids when they were six months, they came with a personality. A newborn really is this… blob! But now she’s starting to have a personality. The three of them are very funny together, very loud and in each other’s faces. She’s grown up with Zee screaming in her face in the morning! But, yes, I’m conscious that I have to make sure I don’t ignore her needs, just because I think the others are more vulnerable.”
- On the kids rebelling one day: “We were trying to figure out how because we shoot guns in movies, we have motorbikes and planes, and mummy’s covered in tattoos. All that’s left for them to do is to become Mormons.”

If you ask any mother, or any child psychologist, they will tell you it’s perfectly NORMAL to feel differently for each child. Lylian on one of her posts has also said.
“…..I strongly believe almost all parents feel differently for each of your own biological children, depending on the circumstances each was born. I strongly believe to feel differently about each child is absolutely natural and nothing to be ashamed about”
I know a mother who has 3 sons. The 1st two were born normal, with high IQ while the youngest son is altistic. She told me she feels a lot more for her youngest son and tend to spend a lot more time with him. But she also make sure she doesnt neglect her 2 oldest children.
Everyone of us has brothers and sisters. Can you honestly tell me your parents dont at times favor one over the other? I am not saying your parents dont love their children. But this is perfectly normal.
In the Elle interview, Jolie said, “….But yes, I am conscious that I have to make sure I dont ignore her needs, just because the others are more vulnerable.”
Basically she said
1) she loves all 3 children
2) she may feel more for Mad and Z. because they came from less privileged background.
3) But she is conscious that although she may feel less for Shiloh, she makes sure she doesnt neglect her needs.
4) The key word is CONSCIOUS.
The reader of the article should look at the paragraph to get the big picture, and the tone instead of dissecting and analysing every single word.
Brad should give up smoking.
Following and photographing celebrities’ kids is the most awful thing. This is a little girl playing by the seaside, her parents are not with her, so there is no excuse for hounding Zahara.
And I feel that those who publish the pics are as much to blame as those who take them. So I’ out of this thread.
Also, I find in very bad taste to quote only the polemic bits of an interview and out of context for that. In the short term one may think that immediate hits justify bad blogging, but you may be sure it is in fact a very bad move.

Hi! And happy belated new year! It’s only the 6th and people are already going off on something! I’m a BAMZS for life! I decided the word haters is no longer relevant. I like the twisters myself. Tried to catch up on the last thread, TOO LONG! So went to FF, i got on 3 posts and by the time I was done, without name calling just cold hard fact they stopped! So I’m tired today, if I get a little testy people please give me some slack!
I am a big fan of them and this site, but that comment makes me question her. Maybe she is still messed up because a mother would never say this, even talking about “empathy”. Shiloh will have to survive knowing her mom doesn’t love her like her siblings. I did wonder why they leave her home with the nanny all the time. I think she never really wanted to give birth, and this resentment will be apparent to Shiloh. Hopefully, Brad loves, and thinks of her the same - none of this Survivor, stronger stuff. Wow, I hope Shiloh doesn’t turn out to be girly, or afraid of things like bikes, etc.

If you choose to listen, to hear, see and understand with an open heart, the truth belongs to you. Please don’t fault Angelina for the candid comment regarding her “feeling”… Many parts of the world, abject poverty infest the lives of people and particularly children… For those who were born, are lucky and privileged to live in the US, UK, Europe, Japan or any prosperous, industrial country, you can’t never pathom the savage inequalities of those from the so-called “thirld world countries”… I was born & raised in a war-torn, developing country… survival became an instinct & a harsh reality… yet there were much beauty & grace in spite of pain & sadness… I believe Angelina LOVE Shiloh immensely & if/when necessary she would choose to die for her… Angelina is a learner & a doer… Through UN missions & travels, her heart has been awakened & witnessing unimaginable condititions, atrocities of young lives in penury… Thus her heart spoke… out of compassion, empathy (& perhaps guilt) for the displaced, the abandoned… M & Z were survivors & are her children… Each of us has the power to change… Angelina has chosen hers… You choose yours… Seek humility, humanity… Challenge yourself not to judge, to react… Not all things are what they seem… Learn, read perspicaciously…
Angelina, live, love your children with the utmost fiber of your being and with every breath of your life…

It changes the context of the article whenanswers are singled out like this.
of course people will take these quotes and run with them. after how many times has angie said there was no difference between her kids ? In the past uk elle did get in trouble for fabricating a whole interview. Angie does not have blue eyes… they are green. is the guy blind?

ITA. I would be more concern as a fan of BP smoking those cigs than any mis-quote of AJ. Maybe we can all send him some good vibes and collective thoughts to give up the cigs. He has a lot to look forward to in life. Brad Pitt make this your New Year resolution to stop smoking. I know it is hard but you can do it Man. (smile).

cy…yeah right you are a fan alright…typical comments of haters,doubters & anuston fans. i know they are changing tactics on criticizing Angelina. They will say they are a BIG fan & now they hate her because of this twisted interview.

I DO wonder if this is a real interview. All the photos are clearly old, but, Elle isn’t a tabloid, so I’m somewhat confused.

From what I understand it isn’t out of the norm for UK ELLE to utilize “stock” photo’s for it’s covers. I believe it to be a real interview.

OY VEY! Poor Angie! This is going to hurt her so much. OF COURSE she means “feel” as in feel for their circumstance in life….Look at how horrid some of the haterz have been in the past. And, let’s face it, without Angie or someone like her, Mad and Zee would have been doomed. Shiloh in some ways IS “the chosen one” especially as long as she is the only bio child - when they have another bio and more adopted, things will be different. Shiloh won’t be the focus of so many razzi, and hopefully, people will become more accepting of a multiracial family. My friend at work just found out she will FINALLY get her little boy from Ethiopia next month….there are a LOT more people adopting from Africa, as for years they adopted from Asia. We’d BEST get used to it.

Thanks for the full quote. People are going to mis-interpret AJ words to fit their opinion about her and nothing people can say will change their minds. All this false concern for Shiloh would be funny if it was not so pathetic. Anyone with two eyes can see that they love all their children. However, some people want to separate the adopted children from Shiloh when they are all one big family. It is so sad in this PR, public image world where people only want you to come across as the “girl next door”; the celebrity who could be your friend; or the star who is just like you; that people would hate on a woman who just trying live her life and do some good in the world.
I absolutely agree with you. Haters are haters. So pathetic but so STUBBORN!They’ll take anything and make it into an anti BAMZS family argument!

I know exactly what you’re saying.
Angelina gives an interview to Vogue which was an approved interview with new pics, etc and yet about three weeks later she mysteriously gives an interview to Elle UK that was never publicised? No new pictures and no pictures from the set or even with the writer? While in India they made a point of not speaking to any media until the end of the shoot. Angelina gave an interview to The New York Times and a press conference. Brad had to do his interview.
Some of the quotes are mysteriously similar to the things she said in Vogue, on CNN, and during her photocall except for the strange one’s like saying “I got knocked up” and people don’t think something is odd?
I this writer wrote this article and changed Angelina’s words around to fit a UK audience and at the same time took quotes from other interviews and put them out of context.
Here’s the thing…people have a desperate need to believe that Angelina feels differently about Shiloh. Good and Bad. They want to say see she protects her to much to see she never wanted her. The problem is Angelina has been consistant in her story and words until this alleged interview. Elle UK claims exclusive but they have nothing exclusive in it.
Someone on a few pages back said brad would never say this. Well Brad is not as honest as Angelina. He’s one of the people Angie was talking about when she explained why she doesn’t have a pr person. People start talking about themselves in the third person, trying to be careful of what they say and at the end of the day they have no idea who the hell they really are. Sounds like Brad to me!
I have Zero doubt that Angelina Loves all of her children equally. She just never felt sorry for Shiloh’s wonderful situation. Why should she? Shi has two loving parents and a pretty big family to love her, zee and mad didn’t have that when she first met them. So, she felt for them.

Yes, I agree, it’s the same people at JJB and Bradforums saying that the interview is fake, I really don’t get how Elle would make up a whole interview.
