Brad Pitt ‘Babels’ on in Palm Springs
Brad Pitt is back in the states after filming scenes for his new film The Case of Benjamin Button with Cate Blanchett. He attended the 18th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala earlier tonight at the Palm Springs Convention Center in California. Brad stands alongside director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu along with cast members from the film Babel, Adriana Barraza and Rinko Kikuchi.

Personally, I would ignore it. Robert Redford earned that face and it wasn’t from alcohol or substance abuse; it was from spending time outdoors with his wife and kids. That time resulted in three successful adults. And although his marriage ended after 30 years, they are on very good terms. You see, she was with him in the lean years and in the glorious years– she didn’t feel compelled to parlay her divorce into something lucrative for herself.
I can’t believe that people are still pissing because Redford had the audacity to age. I’m sure he’s heartbroken that that he’s not a poster boy anymore, as if he campaigned for that role in the first place.

These people applaud Daniel Craig or Clive Owen and they always look haggard, glaunt and tired all the time. However Brad looks tired at one event and they have to make a nasty remark about it. BTW when did the LA Times become TMZ.
I saw last Friday’s 20/20 they were saying that in a poll of high school students asking them what is their dream job. 40% answered they want to be an assistant to a celebrity. John Stossel emphasized again:”not a celebrity, an assistant to a celebrity”. He seemed to be stunned by that, but looking at Holly, I think she has a dream job. :lol:

How “convienient” of the LA Times to leave out the part about Brad completing TCCOBB at 6am that morning, boarding a plane almost immediately and flying at least a minimum of 4+ hours to get back for the event. To “report” this fact ( People Magazine had all this information that the LA Times could have easily poached, IF THEY WANTED TO!!) would totally change the “snarky” article they wanted, actually CHOSE to write……..no wonder the paper is waiting to be sold…..one of their writers, Tom O’Neil writes for In Touch magazine……go figure.

Brad squints when he is tired - you can see that on the Palm Springs pics. But as soon as he gets some sleep his eyes go back to normal - normal being the most beautiful ever!!! He was squinting in Toronto, remember?

Anustin, I can’t say for sure what happened with Missouri Fan and briseis. There were mysterious posts on both sides, and what appeared to happen was MF mistook a sarcastic post as a positive one and thanked the poster. When she realized it, she said good-bye to all, and it doubtful that she would return. Briseis is her friend and stood in for MF, but then she, too, encountered a super creepy loser poster, and left as well. So, we are trying to make amends for MF by voting fast and furiously for our beloved Brad to make our beloved MF happier, but my version could be way off, so just keep calling out to MF and briseis and keep voting for Brad! He is ahead now!

Stupid article….why are the making a big deal about his looks? Do they make a big deal about how other actors look? And they just had to mention “the father of three” and “much younger girlfriend”. My goodness, they’re never gonna quit, are they? Keanu Reeves walks around like a homeless person….no one bats an eye, BP makes an appearance looking tired (even though he stated they flew in very early in the day) and it makes the papers. As much as I like BP and AJ, I’m glad I am not them. I can’t imagine living under that kind of scrutiny.

“Babel” remained in first in Spain with $1.5 million at 185, up 13% in its second frame. Foreign cume has hit $12.4 million and $33 million worldwide.

After a holiday period spent continent hopping Brad Pitt has hit the desert, turning up in Palm Springs last night. The “Babel” actor is in the desert city for the Palm Springs International Film Festival.
Access Hollywood has learned Pitt, his partner Angelina Jolie and their children landed Saturday in Los Angeles. Brad took his own flight to Palm Springs, which has long been a favorite haunt for Hollywood luminaries.
Despite his intense jet setting, Pitt arrived as handsome as ever, donning a crisp black suit for the red carpet, which lead to the film festival’s Awards Gala. His film “Babel” was honored at the event. His co-star Cate Blanchette was in attendance as well. She was presented with a Career Achievement Award.

ntt. I did read about how the school will be expanded to 450 students. That’s still close to facilities of US$100K per student. Again, I applaud what Oprah wants to do, so glad the money is going where it is needed. Still question the marginal return of spending 40M on one school, still think that had she spent 20m less on one school and used that 20m to fund mass education, that she would get a bigger bang for the bucks but still am willing to wait the years to see if Oprah’s vision wasn’t right after all.
I missed something here…I don´t understand. Did something happen to Missouri fan??
