Brad Pitt ‘Babels’ on in Palm Springs
Brad Pitt is back in the states after filming scenes for his new film The Case of Benjamin Button with Cate Blanchett. He attended the 18th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala earlier tonight at the Palm Springs Convention Center in California. Brad stands alongside director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu along with cast members from the film Babel, Adriana Barraza and Rinko Kikuchi.

He looks so much happier these days. I was never into him when he was with Jennifer, but he is very striking now, just like his beautiful lady. He was really fine

I have to agree with #92, at least on my own behalf. I AM obsessed with Brad and his family. SO? He is a spectacularly handsome and wonderful man. He represents Hollywood so very well, and gives acting such respectability, compared to the sorry situations elsewhere in Hollywood. I also believe he and Angelina are largely responsible for the huge increase in interest in charities and advocacy representation in their field and among their fans.

Did anyone see the new show Starveillance on E!? It is a claymation celeb parody show. Not very funny. There was a stupid __/Vince skit with the premise that Vince practically stalked her. The voice work for Vince was actually good, but the writing and her voice was neither realistic nor funny. Then came the ‘brangie’ skit. Do not watch if you are a fan and have high blood pressure. Also not funny - the premise is that two African leaders come to bid for the birth of Shiloh; Brad is stupid as a post; Angie is a controlling diva — you get it. If it was in any way funny, it would be one thing. None of the other skits were that funny, but i really didn’t like the BA one (I know I am biased, but really).
Brad looks great, and I am glad to see Babel recognized. I think it could win some awards at the GG. The HW foreign press may presage the Oscars, but Babel was more popular with this group than it may be with the insiders in the Academy. Here’s hoping for lots of success for the film, for Brad, and for Cate (who is really interesting and who I am even more invested in since she is a FOBA –friend of brad/angie)
I feel so bad for the poor woman in pictures #13 and #15. Can you imagine getting your picture taken with BRAD PITT, having it appear all over the world, but unfortunately taken from THAT angle?
Anyone know who they are? He seems to know them because he doesn’t keep walking, stops and waits for them…

Hunnybunny, same here regarding Cate. I barely knew who she was or what she had acted in before Babel. Now that I know she is Brad’s friend and has said such wonderful, praiseful things about him, she is Not-to-be-Missed in anything. She even looks prettier! I do believe she has a long, distinguished resume, and she has always been recognized as among the “best dressed”. Is she friends with Angie too?
I was thinking that Angie worked with Cate Blanchet in “Pushin Tin”. In that movie also appeard Billy Bob Thornton. It was there when AJ and BBT met.

I believe Angie said at the pushing tin interview that it was really great to work with Cate and everybody had a great time while filming. At the time Angie was quite young and sort of a fresh actress while Cate was 7 or 8 years senior, and it seemed Cate was pretty nice to Angie.

A true cut and paste supposed interview with Angelina. So not true. This is too much. The article takes quotes from other interviews and then just makes up stuff-says they spent new years in New York, and repeats that lie about Angelina and Brad having dinner with Madonna/Guy (which has been denied by all) and persuading them from adopting a “ghetto child”. Grrrrr.

Nana….Re: Pushing Tin. It was shot here in the Toronto area & at Toronto’s International Airport. Cate Blanchett was there as well as John Cusack & of course Billy Bob. This is where they met.
I would consider Angelina as an honorary Canadian since 4 of her movies was filmed in Canada. From Pushing Tin, life or something like it, Beyond Border, Taking Lives & part of The Bone Collector. Her background is American/Czech from Jon Voight & for her Mom side French Canadian/Iroquois. And not to forget visiting Brad when he does Assassination of Jesse James in Calgary.
