Kate & Cate: The Blues Sisters
Kate Winslet and Cate Blanchett took on the red carpet together at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in bold blue.
Cate looked like a walking piece of art in that dress paired with Christian Louboutin pumps. She received a Career Achievement Award during the festival.

Great! Kate’s starting to look a bit too much like Madonna (facially) for my liking though. She has a fabulous, curvy figure, and that dress compliments it very well.
Cate looks elegant as usual, but I’m not feeling the dress.

Cate B is a good actress, one of the best of this generation. Her fashion sense is daring and not many actresses of any age can pull it off as she does. She is never boring with the same old black dress and her role choices are never boring also. She is an innovative actress.

Though I used to find Cate B homely, I might add she’s a fine actress too. And classy. They’re both among the best actresses anyway.

i like these 2 actresses those kind of private class actresses just as charlize theron and now cate received her award at the PSIFF just as my charlize in 2004 for monster YAY congrats cate .
oups i did a mistake charlize had her creer achievement award last year 2006 not 2004 hehe she had so many awards in 2004 that i did a confusion with other festivals haha anyway….oh and i love kate winslet’s earring !
I adore both Kate, and Cate! I think they are fabulous real people and wonderful actresses. I love them more for being completely real women, and not “perfect” red carpet manequins.
They care about more important things in life than wearing a flawless outfit every time they turn out (Kate is a terrific Mum for one) Sorry, but that always bugged me about Nicole Kidman, the perfect hair, dress, shoes, pose ect. Give me a real person any day, and btw, I think they look wonderful!

i don’t understand what people see in Blanchett, she has such an horrible face, very strange, near to an alien.generally i think Australian actress very beautiful like Kidman (the perfect one), Watts, Emilie de Ravin…but this one is far away from beautiful.

Did anyone see Cate Blanchett in “The Aviator”? She play Kate Hepburn. She was incredible, not only did she duplicate Kate Hepburns’ very distintive Eastern Ivy league accent to a tea, she had her whole personna down to a pat. She was also equally a incredible in “The Missing” with Tommy Lee Jones. These are just a few of the movies I have seen her in.
Her looks are not cookie cutter perfect that’s true, but she shines as a wonderful actress. Thank God for all of us there are actresses out there who made it on sheer talent and not on perfect looks.

Blanchet doesn’t have to be beautiful in a traditional way. She has to change herself for every role, that’s her job.
