Film Critics Weigh In, Wahlberg Wins

Celebrities were out in full force last night at the 72nd Annual New York Film Critics Circle Awards Gala at Supper Club in New York City — Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Mark Wahlberg, Ryan Gosling (with sister Mandy Gosling), and Jennifer Hudson.

Marky Mark snagged the supporting actor honors for his role in Martin Scorsese’s The Departed while Meryl Streep picked up best supporting actress for The Devil Wears Prada. Forrest Whitaker took home the best actor award for his role in The Last King of Scotland, while Helen Mirren picked up best actress for The Queen.

Saw Jennifer on the View… IMO… she can sing, act and definitely give a
great interview, speaks well with confidence.

Oh yeah Beyonce can sing and shake her >…well you know!! with some
training and speech classes she may become a good actress …. maybe!!

THOSE PICTURES ARE FROM THE NEW YORK CRITICS CIRCLE CEREMONY…YES…

But the winners listed are from the NATIONAL SOCIETY FILM CRITICS….That’s where Mark Wahlberg and Meryl Streep won….NOT NEW YORK…..

The winners for New York are Mirren, Whitaker for lead and Jackie Earle Haley (Little Children) and Jennifer Hudson for supporting….

I loved both Jennifer and Beyonce in Dreamgirls, although Jennifer is a much better actress. I do not believe the Beyonce held back her singing because one of the songs she sang was quite good but you must realize that Jennifer is a much STRONGER singer but they’re both great. I must add that I cannot stand when people throw weight into the equation because it says something about their insecurities and not the person they’re attacking. Jennifer did have to gain weight for the role you idiot!! If you saw her on American Idol she was much smarter. If you are going to attack someone, get your facts straight.

I love Mark Wahlberg and thought he should’ve won at the Oscars.
