Just to clarify a bit: there was a discussion on Bradforums and people were saying that the GALA interview hadn’t taken place at all.
So the point was that, although it was distorted, lost in translation, blown out of proportion and all, the interview did take place during the promotion of the TGS. That’s all.
I don’t think anyone was defending the quotes or GALA, they were just saying that it did take place.
But whether it took place or not, they twisted things around pretty badly, no one os contesting that.

It says “Humanitarian Streak” - I kind of took it as this person just dabbles, you can’t call what AJ does “a streak”. They also wrote - Old Rock Star friend…no one is coming up with a name of this supposed rock star friend and when she visited him. Everyone sees Humanitarian and automatically think AJ. At least they now admit she is a humanitarian (I know, I know they only admit it when it suits their purpose. Hey, I’m trying to find something postive in this c r a p)
Then the Madonna quote….they have AJ saying “I try to stay on the right side of the law”…..seriously? I mean…..SERIOUSLY?!
Question - Is there like a secret cult you join in Hollywood? Some skulls and bones type cult where you take an oath and sign your name in blood promising you’ll never, ever leave? I ask this because I’m beginning to think maybe AJ and BP joined that club and then broke the oath…..this is only explanation to why some people are deadset on ruining their reputation…I’m serious because I refuse to believe this craziness is because someone got divorced.

brad has been saying it all along, and he’s right to ignore the tabs because it eats your life away. imagine them trying to correct every single bad statement that they allegedly said. they would have to deal with it every damn day. i’m sure brad and angie know not to respond and take these things seriously. it just shows you what they have to deal with and how the media sensationalizes their story so it can be interesting.

Can anyone else picture it? Zahara and Brad going to a parent-child swim class, with a crowd of other little ones and their parents? It is the cutest thing watching little ones leap into the water, with their mom or dad in the water waiting to catch them.

Dragonfly - I agree with you. I will have no problem in admitting my mistake but I still stand by what I said for now.
I’ll just say this. As much as I admire them for staying above the fray and living their lives as they want to and not by how the media or pubic dictates is admirable.
But if they decide to address some of the more wide spread rumors, I won’t like them any less. The way the media works has changed drastically and so the way people handle the media has to change too. It doesn’t make anyone weak to change their approach. Infact, I think it’s shows that a person is willing to adapt to the changes. Not acknoweledging the reality of the world and continuing on with an outdated strategy is not called strength, it’s called stubborness.

But yes, flexibility is definitely called for when dealing with these sleazies. It seems as if Angie has already spoken out against some of this, and I think that is all she needs to do for now, just address the big stuff. I am glad she did it. Don’t you think that by fighting off even one rumor they could a) bring even more attention to it and b) end up having to fight off them all, all the time though? It’s a no win situation- and anyway there are those out there who will NEVER think well of them whatever happens so why get bogged down by it all. The controversy over the Elle interview is awkward, but like anything else as the saying goes ‘this too will pass’. The very best response this family could provide any of those critics, harpies and all who mean spiritedly wish them ill for whatvever reason is to live and love well. I think it will get worse too. Brad is too much of a wimp to come out in defense. I guess Angelina should just go back to ignoring it all and never giving another interview again, because her words are always twisted and used against her in the end.
