I’m not exactly sure if I’m right about my feelings that they should speak out once and for all and tell people to back off ……it’s just people easily dismiss the idea too quickly. Like staying silent and getting slammed everyday for things you didn’t say is the only noble thing to do….especially when the kids are getting brought into the mess too.

There are absolutely no boundaries. I can’t believe people are dragging the kids into it …that’s heartless. Brad and Angelina are adults and can handle themselves…it’s when Maddox, Zahara, and Shiloh get brought into is what’s not right.

You know the fake qoutes from GALA about Maddonna are going to prompt people to attack Zahara and Maddox because of what Angelina “supposedly” said.

Angelina Jolie: We Should Support Madonna

Despite her comments in a French magazine, Angelina Jolie WASN’T trying to criticize Madonna for adopting a child from Malawi, she says.

“The article included many falsehoods,” Jolie said in a statement on Monday. “I said many positive things that were omitted. I feel we must focus on the present and I encourage everyone to be supportive so that every child can adjust nicely to their new home.”

In an interview in Gala magazine, Jolie, 31, said of Madonna and her efforts to adopt 1-year-old David Banda: “Madonna knew the situation in Malawi, where (David) was born. It’s a country where there is no real legal framework for adoption. Personally, I prefer to stay on the right side of the law. I would never take a child away from a place where adoption is illegal.”

But Jolie, whose son Maddox, 5, and Zahara, who turned 2 on Monday, are from Cambodia and Ethiopia, respectively, has sympathy for the singer. “I have been horrified by the attacks she’s been subjected to,” she says. “All that should count is the happiness of her little David.”

On Friday, Malawian child welfare official Adrina Mchiela said the government is satisfied with the way Madonna has been caring for David. “We have been monitoring her and so far we see a loving mother in Madonna and David is very fine,” she told Reuters.

Human rights groups, however, have argued that Madonna, 48, used her wealth and celebrity to bypass Malawi’s laws governing adoption by foreigners.

In her interview with Gala, Jolie also talks about her relationship with Brad Pitt. “Don’t go repeating it whatever you do, but, yes I love him. I love him a lot,” she says. “After I met him my life seemed more harmonious.”

I was about to suggest ___ until I saw that the rock star in question was a man {cough Sheryl Crowcough}. Mind you, the humanitarian streak, in the form of a Saint Jude ad would be considered a stretch. The ’sex siren’ label would be an even bigger one.

JJ has a new thread on Leo in Blood Diamond. It’s a very good movie, with a lot of violence, but very moving. Anyway, Jared quoted Leo as saying
“You can’t help but not be affected when you’re in a situation where there is a horrible AIDS rate and there is violence going on and there is poverty. You have to get involved. Certainly there was a girl on set that I sort of became attached to and I went to her orphanage and I’m supporting her and supporting the orphanage. I’ll be affected by that experience forever. I won’t look at life the same way.”

Every person that I’ve heard of, that has encountered extreme poverty, says the same thing. You feel you need to do something. AJ did something, Brad did also, and yet the haters only want to see a piece of PR from them. I think the only way not to do anything is to never go to poor places, to just hide your head in the sand. Then you can go on and criticize others that are doing something. I am sure Leo feels he understands B&A now.

There is something about Angelina that is not right. Talk like that about your own child is very strange. If she was forced to have this child to keep Brad, it is really bad news for Shiloh. History will reapeat itself.

No she’s not a publicity seeker. She speaks because she’s sought out and asked questions. Sometimes words are credited to her that she did not say. Much good comes from her mouth, and much good has occurred around the world because of her words, and there are many who would attest to this as they are being assisted where they might not have been because Angelina did open her mouth and speak up. She is disturbed. She’s disturbed that women and children around the world are being raped, dying from aids, murederd because they worship differently or die due acicent tribal arguments. You would do good to be as disturbed as she is about the plight of other human beings, and what you did not know before is how you can follow her lead and do some good in the world too.
