And in addition, if Angelina was with a ‘rock star’, you can best believe that the story would’ve been out there for public consumption long ago. If either of these two were out and about with someone who wasn’t a work acquaintance or relative, they would immediately become the subject of a tabloid story. Mind you, tabloids are lazy, but they would get off of their flabby @$$es and dig up some dirt… well, not Ted C., Cindy Adams, or Liz Smith.

I think that is something Angelina should sue them for. Of course people are gonna automatically think it’s angelina without even thinking twice about it. She should be angry if she knows about this little blind item or whatever it is.

I don’t see a retraction on people…you know what sucks is that all the blogs have already spread the news about the fake quotes but they’ll never mention the retraction if there is one…arrgh

Of course it contain out and out lies. So many are now trying to ride Angelina/Brad coat-tail to jump start their careers again. They see Angie trying to live right and put others before herself and it kills them because she gets notice for activism.

And if anyone knows about all the pain and suffering AJ has seen when it comes to helpless children. Would know she wouldn’t say anything like that, IMO.

Angelina Jolie Talks About Madonna’s Adoption

Angelina Jolie knows something about adopting children from other countries – so she can sympathize with Madonna, whose efforts to adopt 1-year-old David Banda from Malawi have sparked controversy.

“I have been horrified by the attacks she’s been subjected to,” Jolie tells the French magazine Gala. “All that should count is the happiness of her little David.”

Still, Jolie, 31, whose son Maddox, 5, and Zahara, who turned 2 on Monday, are from Cambodia and Ethiopia, respectively, has some words of criticism for the singer.

“Madonna knew the situation in Malawi, where (David) was born,” Jolie says. “It’s a country where there is no real legal framework for adoption. Personally, I prefer to stay on the right side of the law. I would never take a child away from a place where adoption is illegal.”

But Jolie said in a statement on Monday, “The article included many falsehoods. I said many positive things that were omitted. I feel we must focus on the present and I encourage everyone to be supportive so that every child can adjust nicely to their new home.”

On Friday, Malawian child welfare official Adrina Mchiela said the government is satisfied with the way Madonna has been caring for David. “We have been monitoring her and so far we see a loving mother in Madonna and David is very fine,” she told Reuters.

Human rights groups, however, have argued that Madonna, 48, used her wealth and celebrity to bypass Malawi’s laws governing adoption by foreigners.

In her interview with Gala, Jolie also talks about her relationship with Brad Pitt. “Don’t go repeating it whatever you do, but, yes I love him. I love him a lot,” she says. “After I met him my life seemed more harmonious.”

We’ve all been guessing that it’s Pam Anderson who has resumed her old heroin addiction and went back to an old rock star friend to join him in narcotic stupor. What I’m feeling bad though is for her two boys — they have been subjected to seeing their mother in various stages of undress in front of everyone (witness their pictures on the yacht prior to one of her and Kid Rock’s wedding), and having a stepfather for all of four months, and then seeing their father in a narcotic haze.

Sheesh. Everybody is so busy poking their noses into the lives of Madd, Zee and Shi, and predicting that they will turn out horrible — well, what about Brandon and Dylan Lee? Or is again the double standard applied here?

Oh yeah…Brad & Angie have to live up to a much higher standard than an infamous ho-bag like Pam Anderson. The welfare and mental health of her kids isn’t as important as that of Mad, Z, and Shiloh. Didn’t you know that? IIRC correctly Brad and Angie will have a parenting exam they have to pass at the end of January. If they fail, then Mad, Z and Shiloh have to go lie with Britney Spears.

Gitane - I just noticed. You’re right it’s subtle. And people’s site still went on to print to the misqoute about “don’t tell brad” part. I don’t it’s Angelina’s nature to say that kind of stuff.

Someone mentioned this on the other thread but it’s time that Brad and Angelina hired someone to aggressively stop these rumors from spreading..since even MSNBC was talking about it as if it were true.

Their fame is being used by so many people that it’s really getting out of hand now. But it’s JMHO.
