i understand how you feel, but if they went after every rumor, they’ll only end up laughingstocks like SIIHW aka The Fraud. i’d rather they stay above the fray, almost oblivious, and continue to live their lives despite the bullsh*t.

ITA, they should just raise above all the crap. This maddness has got to stop soon. People will eventual see that they are the real deal. And that they are going to continue to live their life, grow as a family and with their committment to each other. They don’t need to act the the Fraud INSECURE x. They are better than that. Much better.

But Jolie said in a statement on Monday, “The article included many falsehoods. I said many positive things that were omitted. I feel we must focus on the present and I encourage everyone to be supportive so that every child can adjust nicely to their new home.”

She did not acknowledge the GALA interview as legit.

She didnt say she gave them an interview. The Gala story is one I think they took the Vogue interview and reworked.

Anyway, I wish she would now go down the line address things. Celebrity Terroist, Popsugar nd a few other blogs are having a field day raking her words about her kids and this Madonna story through the coals. They are determined to put Angie in a bad light no matter what because they know she will give the sites hits. It’s sad and pathetic and the first time I wish she would attack back at the stupids.

Gitane - I’m not talking about every rumor, but they should clarify the major ones like if the Elle interview is just a mish-mash of old and made up qoutes or not.

I’m not saying they have to tell whether Angelina is adopting a kid from India, or going to Oprah’s school opening ceremony, or the silly African wedding story.

But let’s face it,people are not going to investigate if what they are reading is true or not. Staying silent and ignoring the tabliods was a good thing on their part or the last two years….but sometimes you just have to stand up and make things clear. I know we may not agree on this but I think it’s time one of them (Brad) makes it clear to the media to back off. In my view, I think because they became complacent and continued to ignore the BS, the rumors have become even more ridiculous and the media has crossed the line. The media has become way too agressive in spreading lies about Brad and Angelina. Unless one of them says “BACK OFF!”….unfortunately I see things as getting worse.

I am falling on this side of the issue, too stardust. I agree with you, and I share your fears about the stories getting crazier rather than tamer the longer they ignore. I hope I am wrong, and I will readily admit it if I am. I am just making an observation…..and hey, we are all fans and can certainly agree to disagree.

I guess I am just reacting more emotionally to these latest stories rather than rationally, because most of the time I do feel it is better to ignore it and rise above it…. but this latest round does have me asking myself how far they will go to make money off Brad and Angie. Just when I think it can’t get any worse, it does.

Guys, the GALA “interview” is from one of the TGS press junkets, Angelina didn’t give them an “exclusive” interview & they “spiced” up some of the quotes, or maybe they got “lost in translation”.

I think they are right just to show the world by their actions, not what the tabs say about them. In the long run, people will see what kind of person they really are. The people that are quick to believe the tabs, are the ones that started out not liking them anyway. Why bother. Just like on JJ, we have been trying to put some sense in the haters’ mind for almost 2 years, does that change them in anyway? No. So, I think B&A should just live their life the way they see right, knowing that their families, their friends, and their fans will always support them. The rest, they are just jealous of anybody that is successful.

I think it will get worse too. Brad is too much of a wimp to come out in defense. I guess Angelina should just go back to ignoring it all and never giving another interview again, because her words are always twisted and used against her in the end.

Dragonfly - I agree with you. I will have no problem in admitting my mistake but I still stand by what I said for now.

I’ll just say this. As much as I admire them for staying above the fray and living their lives as they want to and not by how the media or pubic dictates is admirable.

But if they decide to address some of the more wide spread rumors, I won’t like them any less. The way the media works has changed drastically and so the way people handle the media has to change too. It doesn’t make anyone weak to change their approach. Infact, I think it’s shows that a person is willing to adapt to the changes. Not acknoweledging the reality of the world and continuing on with an outdated strategy is not called strength, it’s called stubborness.
