Hooray for Hilary Swank!
After a turbulent year that included the end of her marriage, months of overseas travel, and work on three movies, Hilary Swank needs a pat on the back. She opens up to InStyle magazine about the new man in her life, the important of good friends and finding a place to call home in their February 2007 issue. Here are some quotes from Hilary’s Instyle interview:
- On typically getting food wedged between her teeth: “I always get stuff between my teeth, and nobody ever says anything. I don’t know why people don’t help a girl out.”
- On having always lived with someone else: “I’ve never lived along before, ever. I went from living with my mom right to living with Chad. Now with my traveling a lot and not staying any place for long, I have a box filled with floating receipts, makeup I’ll never wear, random dog toys, and a stack of greeting cards I pick out for friends, which inevitably end up in some storage unit. You don’t even know how many greeting cards I have.”
- On her boyfriend, Creative Artists Agency agent John Campisi: “I’m in a relationship with a great guy who’s not a public person, and I want to respect that. But yes, I am in a relationship.”

I ABSOLUTLY love Hilary!!!! She was incredible in Boys Don’t Cry and Million Dollar Baby…you go girl!!!!!
I always want to call her “Hillary *****”…but I kind of like her.

I don’t like her at all, not since that Vanity Fair interview in which she felt compelled to disclose her ex-husband’s alcohol problem (even though he hasn’t had a drink in 3 years). It was such a blatant attempt to shift blame for their divorce and a completely gratuitous jab at him only to get a few headlines. She pimps her private life while pretending she doesn’t want to talk about it.. Besides, Hilary Swank has two Oscars and Annette Bening, Kate Winslet and Naomi Watts have none? Please… It’s the “physical transformation” Oscar gimmick in every case.

I could not have said it any better. I used to think she was real until the Vanity Fair article …There was no reason to trash her ex but for publicity. She is as much a publicity ***** as anyone else in Hollywood.
The guys she is so in love with is married, and has children and she thinks he’s great? Talk about stupid.

Hooray for Hilary for what? For talking about her ex husband’s private problems with the world so she could look like the “winner”? A woman who can’t respect her own husband’s privacy enough to not share his personal problems with the world is not getting any of my respect.

I think she is an excellent actress. One of the best in the business. As for the stuff with Chad I believe she was asked a question and answered it. Ending all the speculation about why the marriage did not work. Chad has also said that Hillary stood by his side through it all. She does not strike me as a fake person at all. I think she is genuine and truthful. At least with this break up there is no room to speculate why things ended. We know the truth. Also if Chad has stayed away from the booze and all his demons then good for him too. I wish him much success. I also wish her much success too.

To the person who doubted her acting ability and 2 academy awards, uh, have you seen Boys Don’t Cry or Million Dollar Baby?! I didn’t think so.
