McDreamy has McStyle
Patrick Dempsey is absolutely everywhere, promoting his new film Freedom Writers co-starring Hilary Swank (out in theaters now). The former McGeeky dishes it in the February 2007 issue of InStyle magazine:
- On his first reaction getting called Dr. McDreamy: “Well, it came out of people joking on the set, then made its way into the series. All the guys are not McSomething. We’re like interchangeable fast food.”
- On his perfectly coiffed hair: “My hair is a complete nightmare to deal with. The gray is coming in now, and I’m looking forward to that. I’m going to try and age gracefully and not be neurotic about it.”
- On what he sees when he looks in the mirror: “I’m much happier with who I am today than I was back then. My face is full of imperfections and it is what it is. I had my nose broken three times, so it’s a disaster area. It’s all bent. I guess it gives me character. But I usually try not to look too much.

He must be on some kind PR blitz for his new movie. You would think if he was going to do so many interviews, he would try to give more interesting answers. I have read all his interviews on this site, and all I can do is yawn. I don’t watch Grey’s so I was trying to find out, for my own curiousity, what the big deal is about this guy through his pictures and interviews……..and I don’t get it.
He keeps talking about the same thing over and over and over again. I guess you have to watch Grey’s to understand. But on the other hand, I do think that McSteamy dude is sexy.
But both of these men come across as insecure. There’s a difference between a vulnerable, modest man, and one that is just insecure in themselves. Both Dane and Dempsey come across as insecure and that’s not the least bit attractive at all.

There’s something about that guy that just hits me wierd. I think he’s handsome, but apart from that he gives me the same hinky feeling Hilary Swank does. I like her and think she’s a good actor, but somethings wafting up that smells sneaky, narcissistic, and just too nice about them. JMHO

Im glad that finally he’s appreciate about his work , he have a lot of movies and nobody remember him , actually he plays nude in many of them :).

I think that he is “McMagnificent”.
Did anyone see him as a teen on those few moives. His nose was massive, squinty eyes and very dorky looking. Not attractive at all. Broken nose 3 times - yes - by a plastic surgeon. Have to admit the finished product is excellent.
In that last episode of Grey’s — Meredith told him he had really bad morning breath. Can’t look at him know without feeling a bit yuk!! Anyone else?
Yeah!!!?! I remembered him being the dorky dude from eras passed. What a shift. He’ll do in a pinch.
i thought he looked better in the 80s
