The Double Life of Wentworth Miller
Wentworth Miller could melt a thousands hearts (and then some) in his new photoshoot from Italian fashion/design magazine D: la Repubblica delle Donne (The Republic of the Women). He is featured in the “La Doppia Vita Di Un Bravo Ragazzo” (The Double Life Of A Good Boy) article. Went talks about everything from the second season of Prison Break to his private life.
Here are a few rough translations from Wentworth Miller’s interview with D:
- “Michael is an extreme example of devotion and loyalty. If one of my relatives ended up in prison, I probably would not stop writing petitions, making telephone calls, hiring the best lawyers. But I would not go beyond that. ………. you have to last six months in one true prison in order to face the first season of Prison Break.”
- “I do not even have time to breathe. The series absorbs all of my time and energy that I have. We are on the set from twelve to the seventeen hours a day, five days a week, and when the weekend arrives, I do not want to make other ……… watch the wall. I only eat, sleep and “recharge my batteries”. …….. I don’t find myself comfortable at bars or nightclubs. I prefer to be at home playing Scrabble or going to dinner with the friends. ….. all 14 seasons of Law & Order or The Simpsons.”

But you have to abandon yourself to the universe of the comic, to believe that an ordinary man can makes to lock up himself in a maximum security prison, with the terror that it can strike, because he is determined to exit with his brother. Michael is a bit like Steve McQueen, maybe even a bit arrogant. But in the second season we see, in a flash-back, Michael’s life and the deep relation he has with his brother.”
- “Is the most ambitious false tattoo of the history of the television! This certitude makes the hours spend in the make-up room tolerable. Fortunately we have to do the entire tattoo just once per episode: generally you see just an arm, the chest, the neck, therefore the hours for the application come down considerably. But we have to shoot in a hurry when I have it, because it will deteriorate in the course of 24 hours.”
- “Yes. We have shot into Joliet penitentiary, closed in 2002, but every day came on the set 150 between true former prisoners and guards of that jail, as appearances. Once a man came near and said to me: ‘I have spent 6 years in Joliet as prisoner and work for this show is the beautiful thing that happened to me from 1984, when I was arrested.’”
- Your dream was to do movies: does the TV satisfy you? Me too, like many other actors, when I moved to Los Angeles I thought that to have success meant to be Tom Hanks or Julia Roberts. Instead today I believe that we don’t appreciate enough the cleverness and the talent of the actors that work, day after day, in the TV shows. I was not sure that I liked to play the same character for months and months, but now I enjoy it. And then, with all the jobless actors there are in turn, if you succeed to make what you love and to come paid for, you can really say to have caught up the success.”

Justjared, I know I hate your site because of Brangeloonies but Went makes up for it, I come to peek and run away and this has madw my day. my heart is still thudding from those pictures and my eyes are still moist, now I understand when he says he is sometimes afraid of his fans.
PB second season is starting in the UK again today am so excited I have decided to miss my evening class to mentally prepare for it and Went. He is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen all my life. I SIMPLY CANNOT GET OVER HIM!
It amazes me how people are convinced he’s gay, that even when he publicly says he’s not, well they just believe he lies ! Just let the guy live the life he chose !

For heaven’s sake, give the gay stuff a rest already. There is no proof except a bunch of bitter queens who come to this message board every day and cry saying it is the publicists fault, it’s Fox Networks fault. You ever think the guy may be pissed that people keep saying he is gay and that maybe he isn’t. Yeah, 50 percent of hollywood may be gay but a lot of the guys ain’t cute. Look at Michael Jeter, the guy that played Bull Dog on Fraiser, Niles on Fraiser, Kevin Spacey, Lance Bass, Doogie Howser. None of these guys are “hot” by any means. Most publicists know that the more you argue a point, the more people will believe it so it is best to say nothing (I doubt his publicist advised him to do this because most of them know it won’t do any good). Even George Michael looked too fem and therefore unattractive (I didn’t even find Rock Hudson or Carey Grant attractive, good looking yeah but I wouldn’t want either one) in my opinion so does Reichen, his eyes look as if he’s had plastic surgery on them (even though he hasn’t, I notice a lot of gay men have a look of really bright eyes that look as if they have been surgically altered an almost permanent surprised look about the eye. No offense but it is what I’ve noticed.). Stop blaming publicists for Went telling you something you don’t want to hear and stop pretending like you don’t care you big cry baby because you wouldn’t keep saying it if you didn’t care. Straight, Gay or Bi, none of you have a chance with him so grow up and get over it and hush up already!!!!
