Forgot to say how happy she looks all the time now. There’s a definite peace and lightness about her; a lovely contentment, and it’s very cool to see. It’s not the face of someone who’s concerned like some are about what people might be saying or writing about her. I love it.

Those pictures are from Friday night the 12th. They flew back to LA that night.

The whole family came back to LA on Saturday and Brad went to the Newsweek roundtable event pretty much right away.

Hello All…….just stopping by to let those of you who can’t watch the GG on television that Fox news said they would be streaming live video of the red carpet. I don’t know if this extends to the actual show but they did say they would have the red carpet entrances live on the internet at their site. I don’t know if we are allowed to post links here but I will try. Just look at the top of the page and you will see where it says LIVE RED CARPET STREAM. I’m a earth tone/fall color girl, and so I love her in black, grey, camel, golds certain greens, but my favorite on her is red. I think she absolutely owns it. I love her red lipstick and it seems to be the only color she wears on her lips. It’s either just clear gloss or that rocking red lipstick.

First of all, Holly was Angie’s friend BEFORE she became an employee.
Secondly, if Angie was seen with a bunch of different women all the time then Neanderthals such as yourself would say they were her lesbian lovers and she was cheating on Brad with them.

Lastly, unlike someone that Brad used to be married to Angie does not need a gaggle of other women to tell her she looks great, she’s a great person, she’s to be envied for having snagged THE BRAD PITT, or that she’s a fantastic actress and all-around wonderful woman with a great sense of humor and that Brad was luckily to have been married to her.

Basically what I’m saying here is that who Angie hangs out with is none of your freaking business and to get a hobby that doesn’t involve picking on a woman who doesn’t more good taking a dump than you’ve done your whole life. Now get back in the wordwork with the rest of the roaches.

LOL!!! when I saw the picture of Cate Blanchett with the stirrup pants I though “Oh LORD not again!” I can say with a straight face that I never owned a pair. I found some sweet authentic riding jodphurs once at a 2nd hand store with stirrups but they served the purpose of keeping the pants in the boots.

Of course, Brad was in NO. Brad’s working on his new movie in NOLA, and the current People had reported that the family flew to NO last Tuesday after they attended the GGTOU pemiere on Monday nite in LA. There are pixs of BP working on the film last week, and also CB working on the movie last Friday on JJ with her two kids on set. The family flew back to LA Friday nite/Saturday morning and Brad then participated in the Newsweek Oscar roundup discussion.

This family is not going to be separated that’s just the way it is. They hop on planes like most people hop in their cars. The People article said, “Angelina will be a stay at home mother”, mull some film offers, continue UN work, and they are sending Mad to school.

:) I knew this girl who LOVED them! I swear she had them in every color, but had no SENSE of color. She’d do stuff like wear pink knee highs and orange stirrup pants with sky blue kitten heel mules! Sometimes the stirrup part would stretch out and overlap spilling out the sides of the shoe, or the stirrup was to short, it would pull the crotch down, and also stretch out the knees. The child looked pitiful but she LOVED those pants.

Her body looks fine. The same as it did last year and the year before that. Her body in TR has long been gone. That was not hers. It was her bulking up for the role. Why does everyone have to be negative about her weight? Not everyone has to be curvy to be healthy nor does everyone have to be at deaths door because they are slim.

Well I’m glad to see we got a new thread. It’s 3PM here on the East Coast and I’m already starting dinner because we need to eat and be done by 6PM so I can watch the red carpet arrivals. I’ll brew me a big pot of coffee so I can last past the first hour of the show. Thank goodness someone said that Brad’s award is one of the first announced. I just hope that they don’t leave immediately after his award. I would think he would stay around because best movie will be the last award and I think it will go to Babel. It will be fun to see the insanity of them walking the red carpet and casually interacting with their peers at the dinner table throughout the show. You know the cameras will be on them all the time looking to catch that kiss, hug, touch. I mean, they’ve got Brangelina cornered in one room, in one place for an extended period of time! It’s going to be Heaven!

Hi everyone, Happy Golden Globes Day. It’s sunny here in Southern California, except it’s kind of windy and freezing cold. I hope they have a lot of those heaters around the red carpet areas for the actresses. Although I live less than an hour and a half away from the event area, due to the time difference, the show is delayed on the West Coast. It really sucks. It’s OK, I will follow your reports on JJ. I never get tired of BAMZS news, especially if relayed by witty writers like you all. ;) I have been LMAO reading your posts.

She did mention in the GALA interview she went shopping in India and we did read how she liked the clothes from a certain designer.

I hope to never speak ill of our girl. I love her voice by the way.
I met with some old friends yesterday and we were talking about the ways of world from religion to politcs and every thing in between. Some kind of way we started talking about children (I have none but they both have three), adoption, etc. And one says, you know I really respect that Angelina Jolie and the other agreed. I was taken aback because they knew about the adoptions, knew the kids names, knew about Angie’ work with UNHCR..Well, being the BAMZS fanatic I am, that way my cue. I really enjoyed that conversation and spending time with old friends. Who knows, they may even be here..dumdedum dum dum.

Guli, I’ve tried to tell you few times on JJ, but I don’t think you read my posts. I visited Istanbul once in 2003. I love the city. I never expected it to be so modern.

OMG ntt—- I am so sorry probably you sent it to me when I wasn’t reading all the posts. Hey isn’t Istanbul the best well you need to come to Bodrum where my house is on the Mediterrenean, well we get all the celebs there, Sting and his family comes almost every year, last year Aston K and Demi and the kids came, Tom Hoffman was there soo was Kid Rock twice and one year he got in a fight with the papz at a disco duhhh etc… It is a blast. Pstt don’t tell my hubby I hate coming back :lol:

“cognitive” might be giving them too much credit, Curly…it’s girl vs woman. You know how young school girls like to hang out together because if you aren’t with the “in crowd”, you are automatically “out, an outcast, not popular, not desirable.” Young girls are rarely seen alone because they are still trying to figure out relationships and their place. Many older girls aka adult females don’t like to be alone because then they would have to like themselves, and in most cases they don’t know themselves enough to like themselves (usually because they are not honest with themselves or lack the skill to accept responsibility for who they are) …it’s easier to hang out with friends in superficial gatherings than to deal with your own unhappiness, loneliness, fears, and failures alone. However one does not grow if one avoids confronting the uncomfortable. And obviously it is easier to surround yourself with people who lie to you under the guise of protecting you. If an individual can confront their inadequacies and can hopefully make changes to what he/she doesn’t like about oneself, OR accepts oneself for what you are, then there is no necessity for feeling the “need” to be apart of a “group” ie many girlfriends or living a few houses away from your BFF. You can apply this to any of the people this forum has discussed and see where the shoe fits. A “fan” identifies with the main character they support because he/she shares a common ground with that person, likes their values, has empathy for their situation, etc and re: JA vs AJ/BP never the twain shall meet…it’s “apples and oranges” and “birds of a feather flock together”. AJ/BP supporters will never understand JA fans and vice versa, but the arguments, attacks and style of approaches in most cases split along emotional versus unemotional and this is the flaw in the JA fan base, cognitive and emotional are mutually exclusive…and as I’ve written before don’t confuse passionate with emotional…not even close.

I agree with whoever said we’ve been waiting for this, and it may seem like a long time, but in actuality - like almost everything Brad & Angelina accomplish together, they make it happen sooner rather than later. It seems like just yesterday we were squealing at their ‘red-carpet coming out’ for TGS. I have no doubt, it could be AJ at the Oscars or GGs this time next year for AMH, or who knows, both of them nominated (Brad for AOJJ!). Can you imagine?! To make that perfect, I would love for AJ to have to waddle up to the stage to accept her GG or Oscar, heavy with baby #4 (or 5!) lol….as Brad looks on in wonder.

I have become interested in this board, apart from the admiration for JPs for their humanitarian work and for the level of civility among JP fans, is the split between these approaches of the fan bases. I give my best shot to understand the point of view of the JA fan base, since I have no preconceptions for the said actress, my world and values are far away from the one in which she lives in. Simply put, I am agnostic towards the identity she presents. The messages coming from her fan base, however, are a different story. I, by profession, believe that cooperation, admiration for the values we believe in, makes cultural evolution much easier, but conflict, hate, is an expensive emotion, takes too much energy. So, understanding admiration for JPs is easy for me, I like to see that the values I root for, “other-regarding” concerns, represented in someone else’s identity as well. Insofar as I am grasping the motivations at play clearly, hate messages present a puzzle, at least for me. One day I did even come up with a rudimentary typology of anti-messages to see whether I can draw a personality type through the content of the messages attacking, and I did not like what I saw; worst ones conveyed the behavioural pattern of pre-historic, tribal times, “us” vs. “them”. In this age of opulence, I would prefer to believe this no longer is the case. I am still noting the rhetoric involved in these messages; and it is a sad thing to write but, in a recent Financial Times article on the rise of Neo-nazi in Germany, I noticed the parallelism in the rhetoric there and several of the anti-JP messages I read here. But I will leave this at this point. I am sure someone else better equipped to deal with this, will note this eventually.

It’s actually sad. Friends can be there for you but they can’t resolve issues that only the person involved has to deal with. It’s a popularity contest like I described in my recent post and when adult females relate on that level only and use their friends as a crutch, there is no growing up and when those friends for whatever reason are no longer there, what then?

ITA, however many individuals don’t have a lot going on their life, especially single women (and some men) who feel that something is missing in their life if they “don’t have a man”. Men gauge their image and accomplishments through their work, women in their ability to marry, which in this day and age sounds antiquated but for insecure women, this is still first and foremost. Their perceived image of how others view them is dependent on this. They can’t stand alone because alone, they see themselves as having failed.

My Dad is a mechanical engineer who got his deree at UM (Michigan) vs me getting my degree at OSU ohhhh we have it all out every year even though they are in Turkey. angelina is gorgeous. i think her and brad make a gorgeous couple. but go ahead and ignore my comment because i’m sure most of you will find what i am about to say hateful and immediately think, “troll”. here it is: why do you all attack people who don’t feel the same way that you do about angelina? when someone says something like, “i think that the comment she made about her biological child and her adopted children was horrible!”, most of you will either attack that person or say “oh dear, i’m sure that angelina is really hurt.” sarcastically, of course. just like you think (and rightly so) that angelina dosen’t care if some random poster on some random blog dislikes her, why would you/how could you possibly think that she cares if some random poster on some random blog likes her? because, i can assure you, she dosen’t.
now, i’m sure that the majority of you who are still reading this comment are thinking: so what if angelina dosen’t care if we like her, we think that on a post about angelina, a “hater” (as you refer to anyone who dosen’t think that everything angelina does is saint-like) should keep quiet. maybe you’re right in thinking so. maybe not. you are wrong, however, in saying something like this while at the same time saying “hate”-ful things about a certain ms. aniston. in case any of you are still wondering why you are wrong, feel free to look up the word hypocrite.
to conclude my comment, i’m going to add that i feel no hate towards angelina, as i’m sure many of you think. i opened this comment with the statement, “angelina is gorgeous”. i didn’t comment on her character, family, or humanitarian work because of one thing: publicity. the comments all of you make on the aforementioned topics are comments made because of views held. these views are established by what all of you hear, see, think, etc. and because angelina is a celebrity, most of what is heard and seen by all of you is what the press will have you see. in other words, a skewed misconception of the real facts - facts known only by angelina and her close family and friends. as i am not in that select group and neither are any of you, perhaps it would be wise to comment only on what is visibly factual - like angelina’s beauty. however, for those of you who can’t help yourselves and continue to comment on any other factor about angelina, please refrain from verbally assaulting those who do the same, but with a different opinion. because the truth of the matter is that neither of you know the whole or even real truth behind the matter on which you commentate.

I have read accounts on how one may comprehend the said interview which your message summarizes as “i think that the comment she made about her biological child and her adopted children was horrible!”. So, rather than expressing an opinion from the third level, please try to read the interview on your own. I am sure you will see the said comment grossly misrepresents the context. Secondly, do reconsider the logical connection you put forward regarding: humanitarian work - publicity - not knowing for sure because, as you put it, “what the press will have you see” . AJ’s humanitarian work has traces on UNHCR web-site which is far away from mainstream media. One does not need “the press” to know this side of her work…come to think of it one can not know about this aspect of her work only through these media outlets.
