Angelina Jolie Takes in New Orleans
Angelina Jolie was spotted out and about this past Friday night with her assistant Holly Goline. The two took in some of the sights of New Orleans, Lous. stopping by Italian/Mediterranean restaurant “Angeli on Decatur” and “Gothic Bar” (both located in the French Quarter). Angie and Brad Pitt reportedly flew back to L.A. later that night. Golden Globes, here we come!

I know Guli, I’m looking at the clock right now at work, not even lunch time yet?…come on, any other days, lunch time is like a blink of an eye….I know this day is going to be so long for me as well….I already have a plan, since my TV can not have 2 split screen, I will bring out the small portable TV, the 13″ from the garage and plug in, I can see both E! channel and Channel 4 at the same time….or I can go to my sister’s and watch it on her plasma with 2 screen split thing, but you can only hear the commentary on one channel…too much thinking ?

Of course, Brad was in NO. Brad’s working on his new movie in NOLA, and the current People had reported that the family flew to NO last Tuesday after they attended the GGTOU pemiere on Monday nite in LA. There are pixs of BP working on the film last week, and also CB working on the movie last Friday on JJ with her two kids on set. The family flew back to LA Friday nite/Saturday morning and Brad then participated in the Newsweek Oscar roundup discussion.
This family is not going to be separated that’s just the way it is. They hop on planes like most people hop in their cars. The People article said, “Angelina will be a stay at home mother”, mull some film offers, continue UN work, and they are sending Mad to school.
Sounds like what is idealized by some (not me) as the “ideal normal real family life”, the “gold standard”, what every “good parent/family” should act lie, doesn’t it? Daddy works, Mommie takes care of the kids.
Who would have thunk it that Brad and Angelina would carry the banner for family life? Certainly not all those doom and gloom predictors!! Love it! Love them! They live loving happy lives that are the best for them and their children.

Hey guli. I’m taking yet another break from trying to fix my washing machine (have been since yesterday.) My warranty is over and I refuse to call someone until I at least give it a shot. I’m a little frustrated but it’s cool. How are you doing? Are you in Turkey now or in Columbus? I hope I got that right. We’re from all over the map here and I try to remember.

i had a pair. yes, i’ll admit it. my mother bought them for me. she was so excited about it, too, because they were “trendy”. but i never wore them. i just couldn’t figure them out. i mean, what kind of shoes do you wear with those things? they’re just wrong. really really wrong.

Estelle, it’s the “in look” in all the fashion catalogs these days especially for the younger set eg under 35…usually in black but she does it well in white.

The judgement of the character of a woman is not judged by the number of friends she has…that is a shallow concept except for those who rely on the superficial characteristics of anyones “being” to be based on the “number of “ as opposed to the “quality of” friends. Most independent and secure women have only one or two really good solid friends. Women, and I mean literally women, as opposed to “girls” with growth and self assurance are more selective of who they want to share thoughts with or spend their time with. This comes with maturity.
Plus it is more difficult to maintain close friendships when one has children and travels alot. Because AJ has a unique persona and beauty, she threatens most women lacking in their own self confidence and women who lack that security feel more comfortable with women who also have insecurities and vulnerabilities, they identify with each other and therefore each is not threatened by the other.
Melfi- but of course, and Brad is with Holly’s husband….you forget about that.
Oh wow I had to come out of lurkdome for this!! She looks absolutely great and it looks like they are having a girl’s night out. I think those are Mardi Gras beads in her hand. I bet Zee will wear them as a bracelet soon…
Also, who needs a lot of girl friends? Perhaps in high school, you need a lot of girl friends. But grown woman don’t want or need a bunch of women in the business. Speaking from experience, most adult women have around one or two and one could be your mom or your sister….
I am so excited about the GG awards show tonight. I haven’t been this anxious since Michael Jackson took all the Grammy’s with his Thriller LP.LOL

First off 800. 800 pounds….thank you very much and like I said, I am not afraid of no stinking needle, I eat needles for breakfast and wash it down with more needles. I’m just saying that….that some people might have a problem with needles, problems steming from when they were 6 and their friend….nasty little girl, got a hold of a syringe and stuck it in their thigh and since no one was around….they had the thing dangling for about 5mins before their older brother pulled it out. These are the people I am concerned about…but if you still want to implementing the rule…hey go ahead, fine by me….infact, I insist you do just coz you know who’s gonna be first in line to get a tattoo….MOI! Yes, that’s right….M.O.I….Me….the Original African Girl. Hmmmph!

:) I knew this girl who LOVED them! I swear she had them in every color, but had no SENSE of color. She’d do stuff like wear pink knee highs and orange stirrup pants with sky blue kitten heel mules! Sometimes the stirrup part would stretch out and overlap spilling out the sides of the shoe, or the stirrup was to short, it would pull the crotch down, and also stretch out the knees. The child looked pitiful but she LOVED those pants.

first and last post- thanks for the info., I don’t think the looks is for everyone, I will surely looks awful in those pants, but I like the dress….any how on her, she owns it, she make the clothes look good……but I think anything on her is fabulous. Bias me, yes.

Don’t have time to read 140+ posts. Just wanted to say I think she is losing more and more weight and her arms have lost all the curvy muscularity she had in Tomb Raider. Looks like her boobs shrunk too. Time to gain just a little bit back.

Hey jpf I am still in Columbus I leave for Turkey in March. I was trying to wean my self off from JJ’s when Estelle told me that she would start calling me Madame “X”. Well that did it so I am back here until march, there is no way I will have anything in common with “X” :lol:
Gitane- I am fine! I miss so many great people I have met here. We really owe JJ alot for bringging all of us together from all over the world.
