Angelina Jolie Takes in New Orleans

Angie outfit reminds me of some of the olders actresses (only different is that there is no opening in the front). I watch a lot of Turner Movie Classic. I get see the older actors/actresses from back in the day.

The women were famous for outfit like this. They were very classy, IMO.

And, I agree that Angie looks good in anything!

Speaking of innocence lost, have any of the American posters noticed how pushy and downright unethical American journalism is getting? Yes, we’ve noticed it with Brad and Angelina, and while we find it offensive and disqusting, we know that they have their strength, reputation and wealth to buffer themselves. But I’ve been watching the story on the Missouri boys, specifically, Shawn Hornbeck, and they keep asking how could he stay in the situation, as if child abduction and Stockholm Syndrome are new concepts. Elizabeth Smart wasn’t subjected to this line of questioning, despite the fact that she had previous contact with the male abductor, but Shawn is? The kid was 11, 4′9, and 90 lbs; his abductor was an adult, 6′3 and 300 lbs. These f*ckers need to do some math.

And news outlets wonder why people are turning off their telecasts in favor of TDS and TCR; at least they recognize that they are a joke… well, IMO, they have more credibility that the ‘legitimate’ press.

Thanks for your eloquent exposition, I have been catching up with the previous thread, and noticed a similar issue, a simple and naive metric to measure personality, was brought again regarding best dressed. I would be horrified if someone had said the same for me, after all years of struggle in life, tears and laughs, that is all? “At least she will always be the best dressed”! Now I am noticing the same pattern, how many “female” friends one has becomes another metric of personality and self-worth. Oh well. I am still trying to understand the cognitive background of these messages.

Hi AG, no I did not see GC on my flight, although I flew through Paris and was on the lookout. If I could see him, the first thing would be to pack him with bows in a bright gold box in my luggage and ask for your postal address here in the States. No worry, he is not my type, but I would be willing to smuggle him for you. Did you read about the guy who tried to smuggle exotic snakes…in his underwear? I am sure my story would read next to his … “GC is recovered: a petite woman who was bumping her luggage in the escalators with GC safely tucked inside told the reporters she brought GC as a gift for a friend, not for profit.”

Yes, Cindy G is excellent at what she does. I noticed at the GGTOU premiere that Cindy G also appears to shepard Angelina as Brad was never far from or disconnected from Angelina for long. He is always very protective of her and keeps her in his sight.

Oh wow - she looks so happy!! I love it! :-) It’s funny, re someone’s comment about her ‘lipstick’….I doubt she’s wearing any there….people sometimes think AJ is wearing red lipstick, but she has said her lips are really red naturally. So when she puts on gloss it looks like red lipstick. She used to not like it that her lips were that red, because it made them even more prominent, and they took over her face -so she had her grey/beige neutral period where she’d slap that over them to tone them down. I like it when she’s just wearing her own lip color and some gloss. I know, I know…LMAO at the ‘problems’ this woman has.

East coast fans, specifically the Boston area, where the heck can I find the TV Guide Channel. I have more cable channels than any person needs but I can’t find that one.

Hmmm…I don’t know if I’m going to count this. This is yet another foreign magazine that’s gotten out their PhotoShop color palette and changed the color of the outfit Angie’s wearing. In the original photo I believe this dress is beige or white…And since they changed the color to orange it looks like they changed her skin tone, too. This is definitely a foul ball…

I didn’t want to bring it up here but, yep he is very protective of her.I watched this so many times please see how he turns around after talking to a cast member to eyeball Angie talking to a guy and look how he checks him out and pulls her over “comeover here” and kisses her on the nose I think and then they hug. It just cracks me up to see Brad so loving :lol:

JJ that is a great picture. She looks so happy! I was one of those fans who thought she could do well by her image to incorporate a few galpals into her visible life — thinking of people like other oscar winning actresses of her generation, like a Charlize or Halle, or young moms, like Gwen, but that was during the summer of 2005. Now I think who has the time??? I know for myself, I still have friends from childhood and from college, and they are easy to maintain with phone calls and emails because the foundation of knowledge is there (HELLO, HollyG!). But while it is easy to make casual friends now — with people from work or other parents, it takes a lot more work if I want any level of intimacy because they don’t know the million things that make me me. And I would imagine it is harder for a celebrity because unfortunately they have to worry about whether the new pal has a self-interested agenda. Plus, AJ is still building her partnership and family with BP, traveling for the UN and other causes — I just don’t see her collecting an entourage on top of that. And why should she just to satisfy other people’s view of what women should do.

I just called Comcast and they told me my stupid city switched the TV Guide Channel for some local access channel. WTF? No one watches that s hit! It’s just a bunch of local morons talking about their paper clip collection. This means my only option for red carpet coverage is E! Damn you city of Cambridge!!!!!!! *shakes fist violently in air*
