I think everyone here needs to accept that they are all friends and on good speaking terms.

Dude. Are you on crack? The simple fact they called it a ‘reunion’ means he hasn’t seen or talked to their asses…Arquette himself said he had only text messaged him on the birth of Shiloh. Sow hat are you talking about? For all we know, Brad is letting the other Stern stuff slide on the basis of that congratulatory text alone, if Arquette’s note back in late May of ‘06 was heartfelt and sincere - maybe he just tosses the Stern thing off as Arquette being too doped up to know better….or as I said earlier, he may not be aware of the whole deal. These people, unlike Maniston and the Cox Arquettes have lives that do not revolve around ‘what other people think,’ and the tabloids.
I just don’t know how you leap from an estrangement (until Shiloh) of Pitt and the Cox-Arquettes, to “them all being on speaking terms?” That’s kind of delusional.
Look, I don’t think Brad is avoiding or unwilling to be on civil terms with Maniston - I just think it’s like Min’s described in US, he just doesn’t care. He thinks she’s exploited the split, and that it hasn’t helped anyone, most especially her, in the long run. Angelina said this in her Vogue piece. But aside from that, he could care less what she’s up to.
If you recall when Stern asked Arquette, ‘Yeah but why does she hate Angelina? She shouldn’t hate Angelina, she should hate Brad!’
Arquette only replied, ‘I don’t think she hates Angelina.
Notice he didn’t deny that she ‘hates Brad.’
If Maniston had no ill-will towards Brad and was on speaking terms, Arquette could have EASILY piped up then and said, ‘Jen doesn’t hate anybody, she and Brad talk and are quite friendly with each other,’ or some version of this…
…instead he leaves it that Jen could possibly still be holding a grudge towards Brad - because he doesn’t deny Stern’s assertion…that tells me, that much like I’ve suspected, Maniston is holding a big-time grudge….
….and that’s totally how it came off on Stern.
To add to that, at one point in time, I think they were speaking…it was after her VF piece, and before she started promoting the first of her cr*p movies. I think she felt sufficiently ashamed at that time after that piece came out to most likely apologize to him, or explain herself in some way…I think he probably just accepted her apology or explanation of VF (even though he felt betrayed and made a fool of), while feeling betrayed and surprised at her vindictivness, he most likely, knowing Brad, was cordial and wished her luck for the future — I’m sure he considered it another lesson in betrayal similar to Paltrow…realizing that he had made a mistake, and that she never was what he thought she was…a nice person…and he moved on. I believe at that point they were talking because after saying they weren’t in VF, on a couple talk shows promoting her films RHI, and DeRailed, she said they WERE (”Pleasant. done.” remember that from Larry King?)
HOWEVER. That would have been in November of 2005. We all know what happened that very next month:
Brad & Angelina announced they were with child.
I believe the grudge holding (ask her Mama and her Daddy) Maniston, was again mortified at the speed in which Brad was living life with his Angelina, and she hasn’t spoken to him since.
I don’t think she has to do this day. Maybe some business…maybe something through someone else…a very belated congrats on Shiloh through a 3rd, or 4th party.
But that’s it.
She’s the most passive aggressivce loser and Queen of grudges I’ve met yet.

That wasn’t last year. That was on Larry King TOW years before while the divorce wasn’t finalized yet and the details was still in negosiations. You’re really trying very hard to read something “deeper” on a simple fact that tow old relatives said “hello” to one another and then they continued on their own directions. I’m doing this with many people I know but that does not mean that I’m FRIENDS with them.I’m just being “friendly” with them.

Hmmmm. maybe that’s the only way of stealing the spotlight from her co-star Jennifer Hudson. I was surpised by her look today. she rarely dress like that.
Inarritu just now accepted the Best Picture Award on the West Coast. Yeah! Congratulations B&A. You are so lucky to have each other.
I love Angie. I always tune in to the websites just to check out what she wore to the awards every year. She is the only reason I got interested in Brad. Together they are a force to reckon with. I dont remember a more powerfull hollywood couple. They both are worthy in their own right, and equals. After the TGS premier pics, I thought that was it, it couldnt get any better. & here they come and prove me wrong. I even like Angie’s dress now, like someone said earlier it grows on you. But only she could carry off that color. I cant decide which pic to drool over. WHat a pleasant problem.

I agree with Observer 2, Brad was talking about the divorce from Jennifer and the fight for Plan B. There were no other problems going on with Plan B that Brad would call “bitter”.

Funniest celeb scene at the Globes today had to be what I witnessed up close while hanging out on the red carpet after the gala while shooting “CNN Showbiz Tonight.” In between hits, I gabbed with my ole bud Bill McCuddy of Fox News Channel, who was at the next adjacent camera location. Suddenly, we all noticed Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie walking out just a few feet away from us. Brooke Anderson spun around and asked the golden couple to chat with CNN, but Angelina replied first, “Sorry! Can’t! We’ve got kids at home!”
Brad — giving a big friendly smile — added, “The kids are still up! We gotta get ‘em to bed! Sorry!” He waved jovially and they kept on walking.

The Cox-Arquettes know that Brad and Angelina are now the power couple in their business, and who doesn’t want to get on the good side as much as possible with the power people in whatever one’s business is? Just makes good sense.
Brad seems so happy with his life and his priorities seem to be Angie, the kids, and then business matters. He has now let everyone know this, the red carpet walk sealed this deal, put their partnership in concrete for all to see. He has always been described as a “good” guy by everyone including Angelina, and he remains that way. I have been a long time fan of both Brad and Angelina, and my observation is that they have both greatly influenced one another. Angelina is still made of steel, but is softer somehow now that she is with Brad. Brad treats Angelina as if she is the most precious thing in his life, more so that I have ever observed him with anyone else. Brad struts when he is around Angelina, and she looks at him as if he can and does walk on water. They clearly, at least to me, deeply love one another, and can’t keep their hands off each other. It doesn’t appear that they let anything said or done by anyone else other than themselves matter in their lives.
…and before someone starts jumping to conclusions that I know her…I didn’t mean “met,” lol…I meant know of through reading about her. LOL
If there was a opportunity to get out of the past and on to the future, then I say good for whoever made the first move, and bravo to those who also laid down the gaunlet so everyone can get on with their lives. This isn’t about anyone but those people, and if they can open a door, or go through one someone else has opened, more power to them. Enough is enought, and again, it’s their lives and no one else. All this silly assumption is just that, assumption. Live does go on if we get the hell out of the way and let it.
