Brad & Angie’s Move to New Orleans

the movie documentary *God Grew Tired of Us*

Even when the studios are promoting major productions it can sometimes be difficult to get the big stars out onto the red carpet. God Grew Tired Of Us, an independently made documentary about four Somalian immigrants, pulled off quite a coup, therefore, when it managed to attract some of the biggest names in the industry to its LA premiere.

Brad Pitt and his Oscar-winning partner Angelina Jolie were both in attendance for the event, along with silver screen favourite Nicole Kidman and renowned character actor Edward Norton. At first glance the movie, which follows the experiences of four young boys as they try to escape their war-torn homeland and build a new life in the US, might not seem typical Hollywood fare. The flick became something of a cause celebre, though, as Brad teamed up with Nicole to make sure it got made.

While the Babel star acted as executive producer on the flick, his Australian collaborator stepped into the role of narrator. And, given Angelina’s work with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees, it would be fair to assume Brad’s partner was also keen to see the fruits of their work.

Brad and Nicole’s efforts certainly seem to have paid off as the film has received glowing reviews, as well as two awards at the Sundance Festival.

the movie seems to be doing fine, considering it only opened on friday and being a limited release.

Well, for Angie’s sake, I hope she is not pregnant too soon - it’s not good for a woman’s body to have pregnancies too close together as the body needs time to get over it. Especially if it is a cesaer! A freind who had 3 cesaers was advised by her doc to allow at least 2 years between pregnancies.
Of course, some women’s bodies handle it better than others E.g. Heidi Klum. But obviously even she hasn’t bounced back as easily this time if her dress from the GGs last night is any indication!

Such an amazingly beautiful family- inside & out- there is absolutely nothing uppity or snobbish about them- they truly come across as very humble individuals- with the good sense to realize that they are most fortunate and therefore feel a need to give back and do what they can to help those that are less fortunate… such a breath of fresh air and so rare when most of hollywood/stars are so selfish, arrogant and only care about their own self-image and the amount of $$$ they can acquire… if only others would follow their lead…

Boy, I just went back to the USWeekly blog, and they were hit with a dozen spam advertisements. Hope JJ doesn’t get hit that way.

Before I split, I wonder if they’re going to the WEF/Davo’s this year. It’s Jan 24-28. I wouldn’t rule it completely out, but I’d also be surprised if they’d go since Brad is filming, they’re trying to set up a home, and getting the kids in school. Technology being what it is, I’m sure they can do remote. I know it isn’t like being there, but it beats a blank.

and B&A both looked amazing on the red carpet last night…they are perfection incarnated.

i don’t really understand the whole issue about how she was cold on the red carpet…i think that she acted accordingly…because it wasn’t her night it was brad’s but people kept trying to pass over him or have her answer questions for him. she was letting her man handle his business…what’s so wrong about that? she was civil…what more do people want? i know next red carpet i think she should wear a headband like a halo with little mini hooks attached and she can attach them to her mouth so she can have a perma-smile…would that appease everyone?

anyways i thought they looked happy and flawless!

I just heard on the news…my LOCAL tv news, that they are planning to live in NO!

1. Our local evening news never talks about celebrities
2. I live in New England, so it can’t be concidered “local” news

US Weekly is the main source, then the US Weekly story was picked up by Reuters/AP which just goes to show the blurring of the lines between tabloid & the legitimate news media these days. Sad.

Angelina and Brad are totally together and happy now, have managed somehow in the crazy world they inhabit to form a tightknit family with three children, travel the world together as a family, and somehow coordinate their professional work obligations with their humanitarian interests.

Angelina is excelling at motherhood, Brad is excelling at fatherhood, and they are both hands on parents who do not leave their children to be raised by a nanny 99% of the time as many do.

They also find ways to treasure each other one on one on a regular basis, not neglecting or ignoring each other’s wants and needs. Both look at each other as if the other is their sun and moon and all the planets in one person. They are in physical contact constantly connecting with each other, even if only walking together or sitting near one another. Their bodies lean toward one another as if magnets.

Angelina is demonstrating that her family comes first in her life, then her humanitarian work, and then maybe movie roles, which has turned some people’s view of her upside down.

Brad is demonstrating that he is supportive of Angelina, both in their family life, professionally as with Plan B producing A Mighty Heart, and with her humanitarian issues and interests which he now shares as Angelina shares his.

They both radiant contentness and fulfilled lives. They both seem to have thrown all of themselves, invested all they have into making their relationship all that it can be.

Worth repeating. Brad is approaching his relationship in a totally different way to that with Jennifer. In his first few years of his relationship with Jennifer he was depressed, in therapy, stop acting for 2 years, was away from Jennifer for long stretches of time. He seems to have learnt the lesson that you do have to work to nurture a relationship, to nurture the love. No, I’m not criticising Jennifer, after all, I’m talking about Brad failing to properly nurture his relationship and love with Jennifer. With Angelina, you can just see, in his actions, how important it is for him to have Angelina and his family close by. Sure he has his ME ONLY time, but he obviously spends a lot of ME and Angie time and Me and the kids time too.

I try to corner Best Actor, Comedy Sacha Baron Cohen, but Borat quickly bounces in and out with his two beautiful gals: A Golden Globe statue and Isla Fisher. I try to ask Daily 10’s Debbie Matenopoulos if she got any scoop from tonight’s funny man, but Deb can’t get over her girl crush. “If Angelina Jolie were ever to approach me, I’d become a lesbian,” she says, reliving the highlight of her night when Brangelina walked into the Golden Globes. “She’s just that gorgeous.” I’d love to see for myself, but the world’s most beautiful activists called it a night right after the show.
