Sin City 2: Angelina Out, Rachel In

A source close to the production of Sin City 2 is claiming that Angelina Jolie is out of the running and Rachel Weisz is in. Director Robert Rodriguez has always wanted Angelina to star in his sequel Sin City 2: A Dame To Kill For but because of scheduling conflicts, it looks like Rachel might be taking on the role of Ava Lord. Rachel Weisz: A Dame To Kill For? Hmmmm…

Have you read this? I know is not an important thing…but I´ll post it anyway. It´s from Janet Charlton´s site.

“Brad Pitt has been looking a little rough around the edges since he started his globe-trotting adventures with Angelina Jolie - there’s a good reason. He lost his hair’s “best friend” - his hairdresser Chris McMillan. Jennifer Aniston is close friends with Chris and she always brought her boyfriends to get haircuts from him. Chris kept Brad looking great until the marriage busted up. Jen asked Chris not to keep Brad as a client and Chris cooperated.
Now Brad goes to Angelina’s hairdresser. Most interesting, is the fact that Jennifer did NOT ban Vince Vaughn from Chris McMillan’s salon. Although she brought Vince there, Jen is still friendly with her ex Vince and doesn’t mind if Chris works on him.
It convinces us that Jen is a LONG way from having any kind of friendship with Brad”.

++++++++++++++++

Janet Charlton is so behind the times it’s not even funny. A few weeks ago - back when X/Coquettes went to Mexico - several tabloids reported that X and Chris McMillan seem to have had a falling out. Apparently McMillan HAS NOT been seen with X in quite a while (before VV dumped her in August) and the last few times she was at his hair salon someone else did her hair.

No wonder Janet charlton doesn’t work for the Star anymore. When you can’t even keep up with X’s frequent famewhroing…then you’re really out of the loop.

Do you people care that Angelina was considered the “MOST MATRONLY DRESSED” and Brad is suffering the same now???????? Personally I thought she looked “OK” but she’s not herself - at least not the “self ” that I thought she was after years of loving who she “WAS”.

Save it b*tch! Angie was the best dressed there. She was absolutely stunning. And she got rave comments on how gorgeous she looked. One fashion critic, said she was the only one there who looked like a TRUE movie star.

Has Angelina Gotten Help Yet? Says:

January 20th, 2007 at 5:46 pm
In an emotional interview on Thursday’s ‘’Access Hollywood,’’ Jon Voight
————————

Why 1447, thanks so much for your concern. Yes, by all accounts, Angelina is getting the help she needs, every single night splayed over, and under one Dr. William Bradley Pitt. He’s the best medicine for her. A supportive partner, hotly passionate man, and loving Daddy. We’ll keep you posted in case his last ‘injection,’ took and we have baby#4 on the way.

———–

Hey Frenchy, I can’t believe it, looking at your pics I realized I taped those Oscars that night - and I still have the tape. The weird part is, at the time, I wasn’t even concerned about Brad or Angie, I watching for Keanu Reeves who was three rows behind Brad. You can see the top of his widow’s peak, he had come with a female friend of his, she had on a black dress, and she had black hair with a bit of silver in it. He’s right behind Maria Shriver in that one pic. That’s why I didn’t even know I had Angie’s Oscars until I saw that pic you posted with a tiny slice of Keanu in it. lol
When I have time, I might try and dig it up, and grab some frames of a Brad, Angie or both in the audience.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I remember those Oscars. Especially with Hilary Swank winning for Boys Don’t Cry. It was such a great performance and controversial film. This was the Gladiator year wasn’t it? But the strange thing is that I vaguely remember Angelina. The only way I recall her was precisely because of all that black. She wasn’t the favorite to win so there was no buzz surrounding her that I can recall. But I do recall the Golden Globes buzz, isn’t that weird? For those who have watched the Awards over the years, If you concentrate, Angelina winning is in our memory bank. You just have to dig.

When people bring up Angelina’s past, it may not necessarily have to do with her past with BBT or JLM. When she adopted Maddox, she was single for a long time. By this time, she had already matured and was doing her work for the UN and looked beautiful doing it. I do sometimes miss that Angie. The one who was independent, strong-willed, mother to Maddox, doing her UN work, making movies and looked stunning while doing it all. Since she’s been with Brad, I haven’t seen her look stunning as she used to so regualarly (the vain part of me noticed that), she has dressed more uhhm ,dull is the word, and has lost that spark to her she brought on the red carpet. She used to have this kickass attitude to her but now she’s softened up and has a more matronly disposition. She used to look sexy on the red carpet and wore some beautiful gowns. Now her hair is always up, and the attire is always black or gray for the red carpet. She used to look confident on the red carpet and in interviews, now she looks reserved and uncomfortable. Brad has brought many positives to Angelina’s lives but her new life has also chipped off the edge she used to have that made her so appealing. The thing was that when it was just Angie and Maddox, they were bothing doing their own thing as mother and son. Not many people knew her as they do today, and knowing what a great person she was, was a like a little secret the fans kept to themselves. Being with Brad has made her more mainstream and more open to criticism. Her humanatarian work is taunted and her kids are called some very racist things. She could live her life more openly and had more privacy even though she’s always been an extremely honest person in interviews. Frankly, I dislike that she is becoming overexposed or that her work is always being turned into a parody by the cynics. Angie will no doubt always rise above the fray and carry on living her life with Brad and their kids, but I do see why people may miss the “old Angie”.

Oh how I hate this *I miss the old Angie”. Any *true fan* that thinks along that line show really look inwards and say - no one put a gun on Angelina’s head and asked her to dress black and grey or to be excited at the red carpet or be in a relationship with Brad….

Bottomline, she is AT A DIFFERENT PHASE IN HER LIFE RIGHT NOW….get with the program!

I swear…the media, some fans…all want something that this woman ISN’T anymore.

Would anyone of you like people to prefer you when you were 20 yrs old as opposed to now…

That’s why I hope Brad is making it up to her every way imanigable. Angelina has not changed from the day she became a mother and UNHCR Ambassador. It’s the tacky & snarky side of the Hollywood world and their minions who woke up when she fell in love with Brad. The last time Angelina was on their radar was when she was with BBT. That image is stuck in their minds and use that as a reference for everything.

Don’t blame Angie for finding a good man. Did you want her to stay single for life?

Also don’t blame her for all of the critics BS. They’re gonna criticize her no matter what, becasue they are mad that Brad left a “plain Jane”, for a gorgeous woman, (Angie). A gorgeous woman who is a humanitarian, a philanthropist, and a good mate, and a good mother to boot.

She is till doing her UN work and her charity work, she just has a good man by her side now, and two more children.

Angie looked matronly at the GG? That was the TGS dress! She looked adult, sophisticated and regal at the GGs.

And BTW - Good goobledy gook! Why in the hell won’t people allow Angelina Jolie to grow up? Why do people keep pigeon-holing her as a messed up 22 year-old kid? That was 9 years ago. She’s an adult now with small children and a genuine desire to help those less fortunate than herself. Why is it so hard for people to accept that she’s not going to a major affair like the Golden Globes and show her cooch like she’s Brit or Paris or Hohan! Damn. Let the woman act her age and not her shoe size!

No need to get sensitive. I am just telling you all why people say they miss the old Angie. That is how some fans see the sitaution as. I am happy Angelina is with Brad and do think they will be together for a long time. Their love is visible to any person willing to open their eyes but I do think that edge that Angie used to have is gone. She’s more softer now and there’s nothing wrong with that but maybe the fans are having a hard time getting used to the new Angelina. Angelina has changed, for the better, but people do have a hard time reconciling how much her life has changed in two years since she was single for so long. All I said was ‘I do see why people may miss the “old Angie”. ‘

Oscar Roundtable: Brad, Leo, Helen & Co.
Newsweek - 12 minutes ago
Only one actor at our Oscar Roundtable really played a monarch. (Unless a zany tyrant counts.) But they all ruled in their 2006 films, and they certainly know how to hold an audience.

This is the link to Excerpts to the interview, it is very funny. I can’t wait to get the next issue of Newsweek

DITTO

Do ANY of us want to be reminded of what we did or who we were when we were younger?! I blush thinking about some of the things I did and said years ago, and I’m sure Angie does too. This is just another slam. Why doesn’t X get the same grief for her inappropriate-for-age-38 behavior and appearance? By the way I have to laugh at talk about X’s hairdresser—-talk about getting paid for nothing.

Everyone changes. It’s part of life. She is still the same basic person. I think that she is more sophisticated now. She grew up. She is still honest, independent, and strong willed. And yes, she is more careful, but that comes with the way that the tabloids has turned her words into half-truths. She is sharing her life with a partner and that requires give and take on both parties. She is still setting out to do all that she wants to do, but because she has a lot more responsibilities, she can’t just devote all her time and energy to one thing.

It’s no different than any other person. Your life changes and you adapt to it. You grow and change. You may wish that you were back in college or still in your 20s, but that’s living in the past. Angelina at her core, lives life in the here and now. and living in the past is compromising her basic self. She is taking what life is sending her, embracing it, and is making it work. IMO, that’s what makes her so admirable.

Hey Lylian…that’s a great idea you had…but once again, my laziness rears it’s ugly head. Besides…that smells too much like a full-time j-o-b and I already have one of those. If I don’t take you idea and run with it, I’m sure some industrious lurker out there will.

There is a saying that too much of a good thing isn’t healthy. A few fans on here have become fanatics to the point that any sensible criticism of Angelina or Brad is immediately taken as an insult and then people launch an offensive. I understand people have become over - sensitive or tired because of all the fanistons that come here or because of all other disgusting comments made about the family but you know, you guys are becoming a tiny bit like the fanistons. Why is every criticism taken as an insult? I presented an opinion and it could have been discussed but instead it turned into an attack on me. Not everyone who is not an over the top fan comes here with the intent of causing harm. I’m sharing a different viewpoint and I don’t think I attacked anyome yet I was still told to “just get over it”. Thanks! What a warm welcome.

Alexandrina, thanks for the link. He and Cate are funny lol

It seems every actor, no matter how successful, thinks he’ll never work again. Do you feel that way, Brad?
BRAD PITT: Not really, no. [Laughter]
You all had some surprising early jobs before you became actors. Forest was a classical tenor. Helen was a sort of carnival barker.
PITT: I had a job driving strippers around.

LEONARDO DICAPRIO: Really?

BLANCHETT: Just last month.

PITT: I love her. Yeah, my job was to drive them to bachelor parties and things. I’d pick them up, and at the gig I’d collect the money, play the bad Prince tapes and catch the girls’ clothes. It was not a wholesome atmosphere, and it got very depressing. After two months I went in to quit, and the guy said, “Listen, I’ve got this one last gig tonight.” So I did it, and this girl—I’d never met her before—was in an acting class taught by a man named Roy London [a famous acting coach]. I went and checked it out, and it really set me on the path to where I am now.

Lurker, I don’t think you should be offended. I’ll like you to think about the fact that Maddox wanted a daddy too and he was the one that called Brad daddy before they all became a family. Love is sacrificial, whatever she has given up according to you ( her being edgy etc) is part of growing up and that includes accomodating the needs of others.

DICAPRIO: I tried to get an agent when I was around 7. I was a break-dancer and had a mohawk, and I was rejected. I knew I wanted to be an actor, but it wasn’t until “This Boy’s Life,” when I was 16, that I started to research quality films. I remember watching James Dean in “East of Eden.” I said to myself, “Wow, I didn’t know it was possible to give a performance this good.”

PITT: Although you were extraordinaryon “Growing Pains.”

DICAPRIO: Thank you, buddy. As were you.
LMAO

PITT: Acting is really a team sport. A lot of times one actor will become the MVP, but just like in tennis, your game is elevated if you’re playing with someone better. I mean, just look at the way Cate compensated for George Clooney in “The Good German.” [Laughter]

DICAPRIO: I wanted to ask everyone something: we all talk about being “in the zone”—becoming our character—but there are so many technical things that happen when you’re making a movie, it’s impossible not to realize that there’s a camera there, and your character has to emote this specific emotion. Those moments where it all disappears, and you’re really speaking as this other person? I’m lucky if that happens more than once on a movie.

PITT: I find alcohol helps. [Laughter]

Was there a role you’d wished you’d played that you didn’t?
BLANCHETT: I’ve been lucky in a way. In school I was tall and my sexuality was dubious. I was always playing men. And then my nationality has been dubious, having played Elizabeth I quite early in my film career. So I feel like I got some weird and wonderful choices.

PITT: [To DiCaprio] Our sexuality has been dubious as well. [Laughter]

Would you care to discuss that?
PITT: No, there’s been enough discussion.

BLANCHETT: We have photographs.

Was there a role that caused you more anxiety than others?
BLANCHETT: They all scare me. But I tell myself that anxiety is just misplaced excitement. You’re constantly risking failure, so I never watch the films I’m in. That way, I always feel like, “OK, that worked.” I had an experience on “Babel” which I’ve never had shooting a film. I thought, “God, that was a really great take.” And then I saw the film, and the whole scene was played on Brad. [Laughter]

Andrómeda @ 01/20/2007 at 10:58 pm

Alexanderina: Girl, Thank you, thank you, I can´t thank you enough …I read the article. It was great. Brad is a very funny man, and Cate too, Leo not so much. (at least for me)

The pictures are amazing. Cate looks very different.

Thank God Newsweek is a magazine that I can buy in my country.

Bluemoon I see you are putting the article here, thanks.

Brad, your Irish Gypsy accent in Guy Ritchie’s “Snatch” is so great that we can’t understand a word you’re saying.
PITT: That was last-minute, night-before, full-panic mode. I kept trying to get the dialect—I probably started a little late—and it was just too stiff. I went to Guy the day before and said, “You’ve got to do this part. I can’t do it.” And he’s, like, “Yeah. Right.” But it occurred to me that the genius of what Benicio Del Toro had done in “The Usual Suspects” was that you couldn’t understand what he was saying a lot of times. So about midnight, I started walking around the North End of London, working on it and working on it, and it just kept getting more and more indecipherable. Thank God it worked.

BLANCHETT: I never think of accents as something that’s slapped on. It’s syntax and rhythm and breath. It’s about when people choose to pause, what words they emphasize. You can say it’s accent, but it’s actually thought process. It’s got to be organic. And I think the earlier you can start the better.

Brad. [He mimics being stabbed in the heart.]

MIRREN: You’re absolutely right. It’s not something that you glom on the top, as if language and accent are separate. Americans are always saying, “Oh, I love your accent.” I don’t have the bloody accent. You’ve got the accent. [Laughter] No, I never say that. I say, “Thank you so much. How sweet of you.”

Do you feel differently about your work than you did when you started acting?
PITT: When I started I had this idea that the films I did defined me, and that my life would be interesting based on the characters I’d chosen. I don’t feel that way anymore. I’m a father now. There are other things that are important to me. I was chasing something that wasn’t fulfilling. I caught myself on the phone the other day—Leo has been playing some real strong men these last few years—and I found myself saying, “I want to play more of a man.” I got off the phone and I thought, “No. Live like a man, and the movies will follow.”

WHITAKER: I had to learn to not divorce my life from my work. My work is a continual process of growth for me; it’s an expansion of myself. In the last couple of years, I’ve been taking things I learn about myself in my work and using it to be more completely there for my kids, my family, my friends. It’s flowing in a complete way. It has been a bit of an awakening.

DICAPRIO: Man, I’ve got to get some kids, huh? I only really started enjoying acting when there was a certain level of detachment from the end result. I remember being 15 and going on 160 auditions, and not getting a single role for a year and a half. I realized I was turning into one of those Hollywood kids: “Hi, I’m Leo! And I’m going to be reading today! Oh yeah, I had a great day at school! I love school!” [Laughter] I had become a product of this system where everyone is aiming to please the director, the casting director, whomever. So I started to think about the character—the work—instead of the result. You know, kids are always asking me what they should do to become actors. You give them the pat answers: “Study your lines. Work hard. Don’t give up.” But what I want to tell them is, “You have to not care what these people think about you.”

MIRREN: You were lucky to learn that at 15. Marlon Brando’s great acting advice was, “Don’t care too much.” I never understood that, because I cared so much, and still do. But what he meant was, let go of that total investment in “Are they going to love me?” “Am I going to be good?” F—- that. Maybe that’s what Brad is saying as well.

PITT: Yeah, but it took me 800 words to say what he did in four.

Lurker - this has nothing to do with sensitive@jj or being a fanatic. I am just fed up of having to read *I miss the old Angie* over and over when in fact, Angelina is fine with her life as posted by QQQQ.

In any case, I think KT- 22’s post is a GREAT response to those who say *I miss the Old Angie*.

You’re all rich. You’re all famous. You’ve all received critical acclaim. Why work? Why keep acting?
DICAPRIO: I love it. There’s no other art form in the world that affects me more. There’s nothing that I walk away from feeling transformed by the way I do with cinema. There’s something so gratifying about being burned into celluloid and knowing that I can look back later in life and have stories about those experiences. It’s an amazing gift.
WHITAKER: It’s magic. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of that?

CRUZ: It gives me so much happiness to know that I will never know everything about acting. That fear of not knowing will always be with me, no matter what happens.

PITT: It’s the love for the story, and a respect for the business. I want to be better in it, and better for it. I’m still striving for that. And I believe in the power of films.

BLANCHETT: Krzysztof Kieslowski said that filmmaking is a conversation with an audience. When you’re connecting with other people, it’s utterly thrilling. I feel alive when I’m acting. It’s tragic, but true. I would die in a rehearsal room if I could.

Helen, what keeps you acting?
MIRREN: Money. [Laughter] And it’s incredibly good fun. Of course, there are some intense artistic reasons, but I’m not going to go into them. So, yeah, fun and money.

Brad was in a great mood during this interview, I love it, this one is a keeper for sure :D
