Forbes Magazine just tabulated “The 20 Richest Women In Entertainment” and there are some surprises in there! The youngest women on the list? The 22-year-old Olsen Twins. But to make the list at all, you need a minimum net worth of $45 million. Cha-ching!

I am a CPA and I know what networth is. Networth is Total assets minus Total Liabilities. Assets include property, cash, investments in stocks & mutual fundsand anything that will produce income etc. Liabilities are the debts. If you bought a house for $2M and had a mortgage on that house for $1.5M your networth on the house is $500T ($2M-$1.5M). Angie, though she has cash she probably does not own a lot of real properties like house, land, etc. Assets appreciate(increase) in value as time passes. It may also depreciate in value depending on the market. She might have invested in some blue chips like stocks in big companies that is publicly traded like Microsoft, Yahoo, Coca-Cola etc.
Who cares where Maniston Got her money. If she got it from Pitt then good for her.
She is entitled to it after angelina ***** had an affair with Pitt.

If Brad had an affair. she’ll be asking more than that . With her richness and connection in HW , she can hire the best lawyer in town running after Brad asset. period!!!
Britney is only worth about 35 million according to published recent reports. She lost most of it in frivilous lawsuits. She kept trying to sue everyone and their grandma and lost every time. I don’t think they are taking into account that when she gets paid 1 million for a deal - 15% comes off the top for her manager and then however much for taxes, etc. I don’t think they are. Britney is supposed to only be worth about 35 million at this time. She sold all her other properties. The one in Miami and New York. She only has LA - which I think she gave to her mom but might legally still be hers and the new one in CA which is seriously downsized from the previous one. She went from a 12 million mansion to a 4.5 million mansion in a worse neighborhood. WHY? If she is worth 100 million? She didn’t even look at houses over 6 million. Exactly what she got for selling the house according to the pre-nup. Half. After broker fees since it sold for a little over 14. I think Brit Brit is going broke. Or just doesn’t have as much money as she is used to. To fit the style she is accustomed to.

She is rich, attractive, has a nice body, lives in sunny California, and was married to BRAD PITT. Also has a lot of friends and loyal fans. I guess it is good to be Jennifer Aniston.

The reason for the demise of Aniston’s marriage is that :
Aniston has no interest in starting a family. Aniston was too busy in chasing fame and wanting to start a movie career. I can post the timeline if you want. Just think in 2003, Brad was filming Troy. Your idol Aniston was busy taping friends while simultaneously filming Along came polly. They spent many months apart. At the back of my mind, I have always wondered if this is their trial separation.

Brad and Angelina just purchased a house for 3.5 million with CASH. No mortgage.
Brad just finished renovating his multi million dollar home in the Hollywood Hills plus he has a house in Malibu, Santa Barbara , he owns property in Missouri and reportedly owns a home on the east coast. Brad has a share in an architecture business.
Jennifer is buying a 6 million dollar home plus she has another home in CA. Probably has investments.
As Angelina said she makes “stupid” money. She owns a home in England although rumor has it she sold it. Probably has investments.

I believe people wanted to analyse “how Jen got her money”.
They are saying it’s NOT from friends, movies, or royalties from friends.
Cliniqua pointed out that Jen got her wealth because Brad was kind enough to include her in Plan B, and that the success of Plan B is not due to her but it’s to Brad’s credit. i totally agree with that. Believe me, I dont blindly agree with anyone. The reason has to be valid before I will concur.
I felt that there is nothing wrong with people doing an analysis. Doing an analysis doent mean we bash her.
I also believe people are saying Jen did NOT give back compare to the wealth she has.
I personally am NOT upset when Angie doesnt make the list. In fact, I respect Forbes list .
why was Maniston targeted among the top 20 list for not giving back ? Aside from her bluntly stating that charity was not her things in VF interview last year. Her pathetic fans were the reasons for this backlash. these were the fans who constantly sarcastically criticizing Angie charities work and donations .

Without taking any sides, I just want to say that I am proud of ALL the women on the list. Remember the time in our history when women COULD NOT WORK jobs like these? I am a woman and I may submit a difference of opinion on various subjects, but the big picture is THESE ARE SUCCESSFUL WOMEN. They are doing it THEIR WAY whatever that means to them! Let’s take a minute to chill out and congratulate ALL of them. I am sure-in fact I am positive that no matter who they are or what they believe, what they said, or what they did, THEY ALL SHOWED UP FOR WORK AND DID THE BEST JOB THEY COULD DO. I have been communicating for 2 years with some of you (mostly the BAMZS) I haven’t met any of you, but I want to say that I am proud to know that in this world there are highly talented, keely intelligent women who are keeping it together. Some of the Jen fans kept saying “Jen does donate quietly”. But this argument doesnt hold, if you look at post #126 , it lists all the organizations she supported and what Jen gave. This is public information.
All I can see is some autographed clothing, host dinner etc.
If Jen is really worth that much , i do believe she has 110M , then she can at least START giving back and helping the poor.

It is so funny to me that you guys criticize Jennifer for being on this list.But something tells me that if Angelina was here you’d think that was terrific.Jennifer was worth about 80 million before the divorce and Brad was about 100 million.I remember at the time of the divorce the lawyers said it would be easy to carry out because each of them had always kept their money seperate.So saying she got it off Brad is ridiculous. Also she asked for no spousal support-that should tell you something there. The lady has always been loaded -got the money from Friends.Jennifer contributes to charities.It amazes me that you don’t rip Julia and some of the others too. What have they done for charities?Most stars never publicize their charitable contributions.To each his own. Amazes me that you guys can’t accept these are very smart business women. Congrats!!!

I know I have heard more than once that JK Rowling is the only writer who made it into the billions. Therefore I find this list somewhat questionable. Then again, I don’t know how these lists are compiled. Frankly, I feel most entertainers along with athletes are grossly overpaid while real heroes go without notice. There are so many people, who, by the very nature of their work, make the world a better place everyday for all people….yet the big money goes to someone who can dribble a basketball, sing a song or recite lines someone else wrote. Of course, this isn’t about that is it? So…yeehaw for all these women.

ITA with you. People like Albert Einstein, Marie Pierre, and their likes whom we owe so much, did not make any money at all. They were all geniuses interested only in their contribution to the world rather than making money. Are’nt these people wonderful? These people are gift to mankind. 1) Not asking for spousal support is NOT an argument on how she got her wealth. In California, you are NOT awarded spousal support if you are working and can maintain the pre-divorce life style. You are ONLY awarded spousal support if your life style DROPS post divorce. For example, K-Fed (Britney’s husband) will be awarded spousal support. In Aniston’s case, even if she has 50M or 30M, and because she is working, the divorce court will NOT award her spousal support.

3) It was explained very clearly on post #190, namely being married to Brad Pitt who included her as partner in Plan B and that Brad had the ability to make the company profitable. This is the reason for the bulk of her wealth. Please read slowly post #190 slowly.
