Brad Pitt is Benjamin Button

Brad Pitt was back on the set of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button in New Orleans yesterday. The biggest news surrounding Brad and Angelina Jolie at the moment is how strippers changed Brad’s life and the Angie bashing by the New York Times.

And this recently in… In the ladies’ category, Angelina Jolie took the Most Attractive Woman of 2006 title according to the three-week poll taken by HelloMagazine.com.

UPDATE :: Images replaced with Brad on the set of Benjamin Button last month.

Anna, you are so right. I have always wondered how come Martin Scorsese never won for Raging Bull, a movie that has been cited and mentioned time and time again. Ordinary People? Who even cares about it now? And Taxi Driver! Boy, it has become such a part of our culture — the “You talking to me?” speech of Robert De Niro. What about G. Paltrow winning for Shakespeare in Love? To me that was a WTF? win.

pat i just love your humor.he.he.how’s your idol jennifer aniston? i heard she will join her BFF in the tv show the DIRT,playing as a lesbo, c’mon jennifer you can do much better than this.pat tell your idol she is almost 40 yrs old and i dont think people would like to see a PRUNE LIPS locking with another PRUNE LIPS!

I have no idols…it’s all about the character of a person and not the hype. The true colors came out and it wouldn’t matter who he was married to…it was his treatment and behaviour. I think Brad did some talkin’ to get her to marry him in the first place. She had some “balls” to go for it. Gwennie knew the truth.

Like if someone in your own family ran off from his wife for another woman…you’d be cheering them on and agreeing with them…yeah…right. Payback is a ******.

Sounds like you have a bit of hatred going on there with your Jen comments. It’s okay to leave Jen for Angie because she’s ugly and 40, and Angie is pretty and 30.

REMOVE THE NYT LINK JARED.

PLEASE.

THANK YOU.

For those twisting themselves into knots over Angelina’s ‘bad’ press, here is something to gnaw on…

In the mid 60’s, Warners decided to bring the musical ‘My Fair Lady’ to the silver screen. Instead of selecting Julie Andrews for the part of Eliza, they opted for Audrey Hepburn. This decision invited the ire of the so-called cultural elite, in particular, the New York Press. Every move she made was scrutinized; even when she displayed a moment of temperament, when she discovered that Warners were using Marny Nixon as Eliza’s singing voice, after Audrey rehearsed for months to perform the songs, the press saw her as a brat, instead of an actress who was duped by the studio heads. Her outburst lasted mere hours, resulting in Ms. Hepburn returning to the sound stage and apologizing to the crew for her behavior. I repeat SHE APOLOGIZED TO THOSE WHO WERE AFFECTED BY HER BEHAVIOR! Fast forward to Oscar time… My Fair Lady was heavily nominated; Audrey wasn’t. Audrey presented an award, which I believe was for best Actor; her costar, Rex Harrison won. But what was most impressive was her enthusiasm and genuine happiness for her costar.

Sure, Julie Andrews won the Oscar for Mary Poppins, but for those who are inclined, will remember how Ms. Hepburn conducted herself in the midst of the firestorm.

Whether Brad and Angelina go the Oscars, I neither know nor care. But make no mistake, this onslaught of bad press, which we BAMZS fans naively believed that they were well past, will not break either of them, because, at one time, they were both Oscar contenders and will be, again, down the line. It’s better being a contender who is tapped to present than a pretender who was tapped merely out of pity.

maybe a person of character should have given her husband the f*cking time of day and started a family with him instead of chasing fame.

Relax. Jared will remove the link when he’s able to do it. Right now I think he’s at work because usually he responds to something like this, but he’s not at his computer 24/7 so he will do it at his earliest convenience.

I emailed him one time to remove a really nasty, racist comment about him being an Asian and he wasn’t able to remove it until much much later — and that post was a personal denigration of Jared’s race and manhood. Jared will respond when he can.

The only big shock is Dreamgirls not being nominated.

Why does someone always post that Lamey nonsense? She’s irrelevant. She writes like she’s drunk.

i was gonna stay out of this, but i am actually starting to like angelina jolie more and more.
i realize that she has done far worse things in the past, and people could have written her off then, but her life and career has continued to strive. she has always been a controversial person because she speaks her mind. and even when she’s honest, somehow, the media manages to misconstrue her words to shape the public’s thinking. the thing is, no matter what angelina does, she’ll always be criticize for it. it comes with her celebrity status. when she’s doing good, some will dismiss it as just her needing to further her career. but then, if she’s not being proactive, those same people will still say she’s being selfish. it’s a double-edged sword.
she’s a big figure, and she still has a large following, so, everything she does will always be under the microscope.
i really don’t see this whole hoopla as hurting her career or popularity because as i said, she has done far worse things in the past (whether she was with somebody or on her own). certainly the whole article gives hope to aniston fans or the haters, but from a bigger perspective, it really isn’t anything big. it’s one columnist’s point of view, and i’m sure that writer was aiming to garner attention for his article. it’s just another controversial phase in angelina’s life. she seems to have far better things to do than subscribe to other people’s opinions about her. she’s living her life. she’s staying true to herself. it’s her own happiness that matters to her. if she’s self-fulfilled then, that’s all that matters, and not what the public thinks.

Obviously he wants it up.

Obviously people are clicking on it, and that is being dispersed far and wide across the net.

Bamzs fans are always advising those who bring links and transcribe what some deem as negative articles, not to come in here with that sh*t….but for some reason we can count on the worst rumor and/or smear job winding up as a link…

My question is WHY does it happen in the first place??

I’m sick of this.

Legarda: I’d rather be Angelina Jolie of RP

By Cynthia Balana, Leila Salaverria
Inquirer
Last updated 06:14am (Mla time) 01/23/2007

Like Hollywood actress Jolie, Legarda’s life, particularly the colorful personal and political aspects of it, is full of surprises and conflicts.

She said the idea of her life being compared with Jolie’s was started by a magazine editor and she liked it.

“I’m like Angelina Jolie… but without a Brad Pitt,” she said laughing.

Legarda said despite Jolie’s busy schedule as an actress, she found time to do humanitarian work as a UN ambassador. This should be emulated by women around the world, she said.

During Monday’s tree-planting ceremony at Luneta Park by her foundation, Luntiang Pilipinas, Legarda spoke of her possible political comeback in the May elections, but stressed she would only do so to do more humanitarian work.

“What I really like is giving books, planting trees, being involved in breast cancer awareness programs, medical missions. But the mudslinging, the overspending, the corruption — I hate those things. I really don’t like politics but I like the humanitarian work that goes with it,” she said.

Legarda said she would announce her decision whether or not she would run for the Senate on her 47th birthday on Sunday, or on her father’s birthday on February 12.

She added that she was confident that the issue of her estranged husband, former Batangas Governor Antonio Leviste, being involved in the slaying of a former aide, would not affect her chances in the elections.

Legarda also said that while her electoral protest against Vice President Noli de Castro would not be affected if she runs for the Senate, the process has been hard on her emotions and finances.

“My protest is still there. I have not completely made up my mind about running for the Senate although I am inclined to do so because there is strong public clamor,” she said later during the day at the Kapihan sa Manila forum. “But I’m still praying over it, assessing the situation and preparing myself for that battle once again.”

Legarda said she already spent P12 million to prove that the election returns in Lanao del Sur, one of the pilot provinces identified in her protest, were fake.

She might have to spend P100 million if she pursues her protest.

“I must admit, 2004 was traumatic, emotionally and financially, but in exchange for that, I had the overwhelming love and support of the people,” she said.

Should she return to the Senate, Legarda said she plans to introduce legislation that would ensure that electoral protests are resolved in a specific time so that they would be finished before the contested party’s term is over.

She also said she would want to pass laws to effect a total log ban in light of the flooding and other calamities that affected the country. She would see to it that existing laws protecting the environment were actually enforced, noting that the Clean Air Act and the Solid Waste Management Act were not being implemented.

But why is the american press only agianst Angie??
Not against Brad pitt. HE was married! HE left his WIFE.
The european magazines dont ignore that fact.
I cant understand that and I wont accept that.

In any case, that article will get the most hits and will be the most emailed.

But that doesn’t change tha fact that NYT fell for the “HITS” trap, bashed an actor over some speculations from tabloids, misquoted interviews and a neutral — not disrespectful interview on the red carpet.

I’m no Brangelina fan, I think they are good actors, I respect their humanitarian efforts and that’s about it, but a headline that reads “falling from grace” for an actor/ humanitarian according to the facts that I stated above is just shocking, and even more so when it comes from a publication like NYT.

And this reminded me of a Time article, can’t recall the writer’s name, that went on and on about how AJ’s humanitarian efforts were fake and she did it all for the photo-ops.

Funny enough a few months later Time chose AJ as one of the most influential 100 people.

Jared keeping doing your thing. It’s your site not ours. Do as you wish. I would love to see the link GONE! But you pay the bills not me.

What i find ironic is the press-play this little snub gets compared to the supposed victim Seacrest’s association to the vile poison coming from American Idol. I think someone from that show needs to have his or her face slapped for that truly contemptable behaviour. But that’s all in good fun, part of the game as it were. And that is the real issue here, Angie doesn’t want to play the ‘game’ and so that is why she needs to be crusified.

I would like to see them at the OSCAR as presenters as well. She was an Oscar winner, He is now an upcoming movie producer and a well known actor. However , If both want to skip it , for relevant reasons , I am sure the organizers wouldn’t mind. But off course the paps and the critics will find another star to pick on….

Am quite disappointed for Brad. But looking at some of the nominees, like O’Toole and A. Arkin, and the women, Dench, Streep and Mirren, age did’nt matter. There will be more chances for the Pitts to garner more Oscars or GG’s.

Thank you dragonfly for this post

Right now in New Orleans, Brad is getting a big hug and kiss from his Angie and his kids after hearing the Oscar list. I am sure that those hugs and kisses mean more to him than this award. Sure, as an actor he would like one, and will eventually get it, but as he said of his life before, “I was chasing something that wasn’t fulfilling”. He has learned that there is more to life.

Even so, he has movie roles lined up and everyone wants to work with him, either as an actor or with his production house. He is a happy, satisfied man, and Angie loves him very much. He has given Angie “a place to put her passion”, as she put it, and I would never tear him down. He’s a fantastic husband to Angie.

Probably the only guy on the planet who is that total package for her. They were practically CUSTUM-MADE for each other.

Well yeah, and that’s the unfortunate part. He knows how we’ll probably rail against it - but he does have bills to pay. I just cringe at the notion that it always has to be the absolute WORST sh*t EVER about them that he posts/links as a headline and as a thread on what is site heavily driven by BAMZS fans.

But I guess the WORST stuff is always the stuff that gets the most hits, and makes the most money - nevermind that it’s the stuff that pisses us off most and depresses us the most.

I could deal with a little dig here and there, but why does Jared have to link or post pics that are the worst kinds of smears.

Well, I answered my own question - he posts the link, leaves it up for as long as we can stand it — and it drives traffic, he pays bills.

Okay, I need to take a break for reals. Later.

^^^^

Thank you Thank you Thank you. No one was giving the NYT article any major attention until it was brought to their attention by blowing it up and out of preportion right here. The story shouldn’t have become what it did YESTERDAY on the board but it did, and at whose hand?

Most of the bull that gets dumped here has no legs until someone right here attaches some and then its off and running and expanding and stretching until the next thing you know its become exactly what people wanted to shutdown.

Jared owned this board the last time I looked, and I think it’s damn nervy to even dare suggest what he shouldn’t put up or keep out and especially when that same **** had no problem being brought to JJ’s yesterday and posted and discussed ad nauseum.
