jeanne : Babel received limited viewers because it was shown in avery limited theatres . It was actually a foreign film . The fact that it was included in the GG and now the oscars is a testament to its quality . The director gave the credit to the success of this movie to BP . and KB when acepting the GG . There have been other outstanding actors and actresses who have not recieved oscars of GG . But that does not diminish their acknowedged talent . So it is with BP and AJ . I think most of HW if not all recognize that these two actors are deserving of an A-list ranking . AJ is an oscar winner and BP has received at least 2 GG noms. HW is far from over with these two . As far as AJ goes I predict that some one will have the honor of playing her in a biography decades from now . How many other actors or actresses can we say the same for ?

#286: Jeanne, if the film is good, it won’t matter who stars in it. And as long as Brad and Angelina want to make movies, they will always have fans. Name me somebody who’s an A-lister who hasn’t had any bombs? It’s a hit or miss game and even diCaprio or Depp can attest to that. Julia Roberts has been in stinky films and yet she keeps getting offers.

Brad and Angie can produce the films that they want as well as star in them. They can play the game as good as anybody if you think about it. Look at Drew Barrymore and Sandra Bullock. Did all they produce and starred in blockbusters? You know what they say, “you can’t put a good man down”. This couple is good…very, very good! Just watch.

Hey Jared, good job on posting the NYT article. After all, you do run a blog about everyone, this is not an angie fan site. Thanks for staying objective. I am glad that Ms. Jolie continues to do her work for others and that says it all. Hmmm I wonder what Madonna is doing just now? Planning another me, me, me tour with her fake activism where she injects herself into everything-even so far as posing as Jesus on the cross for attention; Or perhaps she’s busy twisting herself into her many and varied me, me, me yoga poses to show off her stretched to the point of mangled-ness body. Or perhaps she’s strategizing how NOT to release a self described ‘activist’ album, cause she’s afraid she’ll be blacklisted by the current American administration, cause natch, Madonna before activism, yeah that’s true activism, consider your image first. YOU GO ANGELINA. At least Angelina respects and honors the cultures of her children. She doesn’t try to take them away from something that should go with them throughout their lives. Madonna took david cause she knew the cameras woulf follow her with a black baby strapped on her back. She cared two cents to the wind about the true issues of world orphans and adopting. Whether she admits it consciously or subconsciously. I am sure that’s partly the point Guy Ritchie was trying to make to her in their fights about this issue. Madonna has always and will always be about Madonna. I am glad that Ms. Jolie said what she said even though she did say gracious things that were not brought forth immediately. And before anyone says anything about what I’ve written, I am an educated African American with degrees in Political Science and International Affairs. I know of what I speak.

Ryan, now the Oscar’s are coming, why not do your media source proud! You have pletny of lead time to ask Ms. Jolie some REALLY intelligent and thoughtful questions, providing of course, you can, well think! Perhaps you’ll get a warmer response.

ORTFLMAO! Let’s cheer an article that used tabloids as her sole source. Yep. That’s right, that’s journalism at it’s finest and shows you’ve sunk to the lowest common denominator when you’re cheering that kind of thing on.

IMHO I don’t think that Brad or Angie really care about awards. I know she doesn’t, they don’t define you as an actor. He is a great actor and the awards will come in the near future because of his film choices. I would like for him to become a more dramatic actor like Leo and even Angie. This has been an exciting year for him and I think he’s grown tremendously as person and that will help in dramatic roles. He know that this hype that being created by media is overwhelming but they handle it with diginity and grace. I some much admired Angie for her character and grace at the GG she held her head high and supported he husband reagrdless of the “labels” that had been put on her. ALso the very ones who did the ditch digging were trying to vy for her attention and she simply ignored them eg. Ryan S. Good job. Just focus on your life and family and damned the rest. And for all these tabloids writing a soap opera every week to sell and make money you’re most ignorant people. Angie knows who Brad comes home to and loves so she has nothing to worry. I so hope they go to the Oscars ,Bradand Angie. I want her to walk the red carpet with the same pride that she did before. Only this time looking more elegant and beautiful and do the same thing she did before which was love and support her man. What will they come up with this time? I can’ wait for that. Brad need to go to show the Oscars that he will be a heavy contender in the future. But again I don’t thinkhe really cares about awards. But the occasional win doesn’t hurt either .

Anyway, one of the attorney here at my firm just became a father, he called the office with the news and this is what he said when describe his newly born baby girl ” …she has light brown hair…10 toes, 10 fingers….she doesn’t look like anything yet…she’s just like a ” blob” lying there….” I was almost ROTFLMAO….a blob….hahaha….Oye, lucky for him, the NY times is not after his a**….

Estelle, that’s funny and that’s how most parents describe new borns. They’re not much fun, just bumps on logs or blobs. But, they’re sure cute.

I agree Maddox is getting so big and they do look a little sleepy, lol..

I am happy to see Angie keep on doing what is the most important thing to her, her work to help people. She looks beautiful while doing her humanitarian work.
I think some people hate Angie because she and Brad has it all.
I wish Angie to walk down red carpet of Oscar with Brad while her head held high, being proud as she should be. As someone posted, Angie will be legend in HW.
People will remember and make movies about Angie and Brad.

Wow Ok Maddox is now officially too old to be carried around like that. Angelina seems like she’s going be spoiling her children. We all know when it comes to her children she’s a marshmellow,

I love how when the haters post, they go into a whole dissertation. They can’t say “eh I don’t care for her” and end it at that. They ramble on & on.

I carried my oldest son around until he was six or seven. He was a smallish, lanky little guy like Maddox.
