Brad Pitt was back on the set of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button in New Orleans yesterday. The biggest news surrounding Brad and Angelina Jolie at the moment is how strippers changed Brad’s life and the Angie bashing by the New York Times.
And this recently in… In the ladies’ category, Angelina Jolie took the Most Attractive Woman of 2006 title according to the three-week poll taken by HelloMagazine.com.

Oh I see the Oscar nom results are in. I am glad Babel got nominated, and even though I really wanted Brad to be nominated himself, it’s all good, because truly I don’t think this is the performance (Babel) that should get him the Big O. I think he will eventually win for something else where he is on screen longer.
If the nomination didn’t happen for Brad this year, it will be next year.
He is going to get it as the best actor and the best movie one day. Look at his works, I don’t doubt it.
If they don’t show up, I shall be dissappointed.

Well the Academy Award show producers have just cut themselves out of about 3 million people here and God knows how many worldwide watching the broadcast. LOL What dummies. I can’t even think of anyone I want to see at that thing now. Seriously.
Also, I hope Brad & Angelina don’t go just to support the film. They are too huge and would make too much of a splash and considering neither is nominated now, it would be unseemly.
Maybe Brad could go and pull a Tom Cruise the night he went when Nicole was there too right after their divorce…he didn’t do the red carpet, just came in backstage and intro’d a film and left. But even that he’s too good for.
If I didn’t know any better I’d think all this negative Angie bashing is designed to try and blame her for ill-will towards Brad. There are powerful people behind the scenes orchestrating these things, it all comes down to pressing palms…I recall the year of the travesty when Paltrow beat Cate B. and this other brilliant actress - it was said Harvey Weinstein got in there and greased palms and bought that Oscar for her.

I dislike the both of them intensely. I don’t care how many children they adopt or how many third world countries they visit because at the end of the day they are both lying, cheating, adulterous, vile human beings. I hope what she has done to JA and Laura Dern is done to her (as well as the people who support her). See how she likes it.

Yep! I completely agree with that Dragon. He was on screen only for 15 minutes. He was nominated for a GG and Babel won Best Picture in GGs and now Babel is nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars too along with other nominations. That is pretty cool for me. Brad will have many chances to get it in the future.

He asked the same stuff to patrick dempsey about his wife having twins & just personal cute stuff to other celebrities & they didn’t have a problem with it. I thought this was this was appropriate since Brad is not nominated although its great that the novie had several nominations. If they decide to go great and if they don’t I’m sure they will be doing something worthwhile and fun.

I was so sure that Russell Crowe would get the Oscar for his role in Insider. He didn’t. This is the movie put him on the top.
Then, a year after he got the Oscar for his role in Gladiator.

I don’t think so, without the SAG’s nom it’s was very complicated for him to get an Oscar nom, since a lot of the voters are the same people.
I knew they will screw Dreamgirls to kiss Clint Eastwood ass and I can’t beleive Leo got nominated for Blood Diamond instead of The Departed now any chances he got to win are done. Well, if he keeps doing good movies maybe the next chance he will actually win.

If the fans start blaming Brad, the press has achieved what it wanted. Yesterday was good with all the support that fans gave by writing to the NYT. I love Brad and Angie no matter what. Let them be. They can’t be everything to everybody. Congratulations to the Babel cast.
It’s very irritating to me when people tear Brad down saying he has no “balls” and everything … sheesh, he is Mad’s, Zee’s and Shi’s father. Do you want Angie bringing them up all by her lonesome just because you think that they should separate. all because of a perceived “he did not speak up for her” notion? Not that she wouldn’t be able to do it, but before it was just her and Mad, and now her and the three kids are totally different story. Being with Brad allows her to concentrate some of her focus on her humanitarian activities, like when she went to Cambodia (with Mad) and she left the girls behind with Brad.
To me the fact that she can do what she loves to do, be free to do it without having to worry about the kids is such a huge relief for her. Brad does this for her. So this notion that he does not speak up for her is nothing to her, the fact that he is there for her is everything in the world to her. Anybody remember how BBT was not there for her and Mad, and she quickly divorced his a*s? Yet BBT declared to all and sundry that he loved her and cared about her.
I wonder if they’ll go to Davos now that Brad doesn’t have a supporting actor nomination and they don’t need to endure the red carpet again. I say leave the country that doesn’t seem to want them. Another poster pointed out how many countries would be happy to have them. The world is their oyster, and the U.S. seemed to be kinder to them when they weren’t here.
Rumor has it on an adoption listserve my friend is on that they may be adopting a child from Vietnam (you know they’ve been there twice now in very short order, although they give a different reason publicly for going). That would be very soon after Shiloh’s birth to bring someone new into the family, but hey, I adopted two infants at once in Vietnam, and I don’t regret it for a minute. Cambodia closed up so fast very soon after Maddox came home; international adoption IS a thing where you think “Let’s hurry up and do this before the rules change.” And the whole Madonna hoopla probably scared them and sent them even further underground with details about their plans.
You never really DARE to say to yourself it’s really happening until you have the child in your lap on the airplane and are getting out of the country….the wait is so long and there are so many barriers in the process. I say get Maddox an Asian brother from Vietnam, someone who’s not an infant anymore. I am all in favor of bunching up your family with a bunch of kids nearly the same age. Who else are they going to play with?
At any rate let them leave the country now again for a while, since even the NYT has taken up BAMSZ bashing. Their home study is probably done, and it’s waiting time for the next kid. They don’t need to wait in Los Angeles or New Orleans. Let Brad finish filiming and then get the family out again for awhile. Give the NYT some other fodder. Isn’t Paris Hilton in trouble again?
In a way I’m relieved but I was LMAO when the last name of the supporting actor was called, all the moans and awwws after was hilarious. They were anticipating Brad Pitt’s name. Well but he was awesome in Gladietor, but the academy always does this things, when they screw Paul Giamatti and he didn’t get a nom for Sideways (when he was winning everything in awards seasons) the next year he got a “consolation” nom for his supporting role in Cinderella Man.
I am sad that our Brad was not nominated. I hope that does not mean they will not be attending the Oscars. They may be there to support the other co-stars, and director.

Angie deserves the criticism. Plus she was a total snob at the after parties. She goes from the one diving into pools to sitting cold side and snubbing people. SHE NEEDS TO GET OVER HERSELF!

Anyhow, congrats to Babel for the many nods! Brad didn’t get it but it’s ok, he has plenty of chances as he has many good roles on his plate, and is constantly working unlike a certain ____. I don’t know whether they attend to Oscars or not, but if they chose not to, the ratings will go down further. I won’t watch it though I’m rooting for Babel, but the ceremony is so boring, it’s not not worth staying up all night for nothing.
I can’t see Brad not going to the Oscars since Babel is nominated in 7 categories including best picture! He will want to support the film and the other nominees, hell, he has gone when he has no picture with nominations.
