PAT where are you from,it seems your english is quite poor.moreso, how did you learn to use a computer,it seems you havent attended any formal education.you write trashy and you are showing ignorance.

p.s.

And of course, the article was rightfully mentioned because, as JJ said, it WAS one of the biggest news lately about her. So why not mention it! For the sake of blind worshiping?? Of course not.

And I might add, I think the fans here have definited done more to damage her image than to help.

As far as i am concerned the true winners are Helen mirren and judi dench, it shows that no matter how old you get there is always a chance you can make it . I wish brad the best there is always another year and as long as he keeps acting i have all the belief he will finally get recognised, i am a jen fan if it were us you would all laugh your hearts out at us and call jen all they names under the planet but hey i really want everyone to be sucessful especially if you work hard and he has . Go Helen and Judi dench there is justice in this world after all and Jennifer hudson YOU DESEVE IT

Yikes. This place gives me the creeps. Insanity rules. Bless you Jared, for housing them. Try to rein them in and don’t let them out on the loose.

Hey, Weird Peeps, if this place gives you the creeps and Insanity Rules then go to dlisted, PerezHilton or FemaleFirst. They have very sane posters over there … NOT!

Glad the NYT article was mentioned. It certainly added to the level of objectivity (if there was any at all) in all the discussions (or outporing) over the star. The article was pretty good in pointing out certain things both to her favor and disfavor.

Yeah and now what? Brad & Angelina continue their love for each other & their children and their craft. Here’s to more children. That woman has made Brad so happy. I can’t hate on her for that. He’s a middle aged man with different priorities now. I hope their family is large & boistrous and full of laughter.

When a film nominated for best picture like in the case of Babel wins the night of the oscars, isn’t it customary to have the entire cast and producers up the stage to get the oscar (like in the case of Crash last year?)? If yes, then Brad may go to support this great original movie that he is part of.

I think BAMZSfans are doing a fine job. We support Brad and Angelina and the kids that’s all. We don’t resort to lying and hating etc. Haters often wish death, illness on them and the kids. They are lunatics. They are blinded by hate. Just read the posts of Pat. She can’t prove that Brad ever said anything wrong about his X, but is here spitting hatred, she is going against the wall smashing her head again and again. Here is the difference dear Observer.

Oscar: the nominations announced

Babel, Little Miss Sunshine, The Departed, The Queen and Clint but no Dreamgirls…do you love it, or do you LOVE it?

I love. I love a LOT.

And I LOVE Ryan Gosling’s recognition too. Slim chance against Forest Whitaker but still, it’s nice to know that sometimes, a performance with virtually NO campaign behind it can still earn a nod – can hardly believe it’s possible in the current Hollywood climate, non?

The lock of the year? Has to be Jennifer Hudson – which means you DO NOT want to be on staff with Beyonce this morning. Bet your boob job she’s pullin’ out her weave…

As for Eddie Murphy – looks to be a slamdunk on paper but I’d hold off on marking off that box on your ballet before seeing how the next few weeks unfold. Was talking to quite a few industry players at Sundance who are on top of the buzz and Alan Arkin from Little Miss Sunshine is “workin’ it” … HARD. Given Eddie’s less than stellar reputation and Alan’s body of work, I wouldn’t be surprised if he sneaks in for a steal.

And will this be Martin’s year? Scorcese finally honoured? Well, I’m told it’ll happen only if Eastwood lets it be so – as it was a few years ago for Million Dollar Baby vs. Aviator. Everyone wants a piece of Clint, Clint has the clout, and if he lobbies for it underground through his cronies, Marty might be left off again. But only if he wants it bad enough…will keep you posted.

By far however, to me at least, the most exciting race has to be Mirren vs Meryl – battle of the Silver Foxes…refreshing, non? Two mature ladies kickin’ it to the young’uns this year.

Personally I’m pulling for Prada, not because I don’t adore Helen but because I didn’t adore The Queen.

And finally, while it might look like the year is lacking in spice, praise Goddess for my Borat. Nominated for Adapted Screenplay, definitely not the favourite, but titillating enough just for his presence. Because as you all know now, Sacha Baron Cohen is The Hotness.

Oscar live telecast February 25 – an eternity I’m sure for all you blubbering McGoslings.

PS. Explanation behind Brad’s snub? Official word is the role was too small and his involvement with Babel as a Best Picture candidate, in addition to producing acknowledgement(yet to be determined) for The Departed was enough of an homage. But you can’t deny it’s a victory for the MiniVan Majority - the Angelina backlash is palpable …which only means one thing: a red carpet redemption at the Kodak Theatre, during which time Mrs Pitt will probably be all teeth, lips, and tits - too bad really as I really do prefer my Angelina served ***** side up.

Hmmmm, How many times was he nominated for the GG or Oscars in the 7 years before he was with Angie?

204, fyi: did you notice that the fans here don’t really care “who’s threat” it is on this JJ site? They talk all about AJ and BP when pictures (or news) of JA and others were posted.

You’re right, no oscar nom for frat boy Vince Vaughn. He was never in the running.

Congratulations Brad for all the nominations Babel got. Congratulations to Rinko and Adriana. I really want Rinko to win BSA. I also root for Pene Cruz to win BA. Whatever the Academy does, I just hope they don’t pick Meryl Streep for BA this year. She is a great actress, but not the best this year.

pat i just love your humor.he.he.how’s your idol jennifer aniston? i heard she will join her BFF in the tv show the DIRT,playing as a lesbo, c’mon jennifer you can do much better than this.pat tell your idol she is almost 40 yrs old and i dont think people would like to see a PRUNE LIPS locking with another PRUNE LIPS!

2006 was a good year @ 01/23/2007 at 10:33 am

It was a very good year for our boy Brad. Who would have thought he would have gotten such critical acclaim for the film Babel much less be in a film like that after the commercially fluffy but profitable M&MS?

He was with the love of his life Angelina and became a father three times over.
Congratutlations Brad. I hope Babel wins the Oscar like it did at the GG’s.

Several of you have made clear you dislike Brad and Angelina,my question is why do you seek them out?To go out of your way to find the pictures, read the comments and then comment on your own behalf.Sounds like to me you are obesessed with this couple, but you want to label us as crazy?Think about this, what mentally sane person after 2 years would STILL not be able to get over a celebrity break-up?

205 YEAH: “made Brad so happy?”. You sound just like a fan, for no one else would make such juvenile statement about another person’s feelings, another person whom you can’t even begin to relate. All you can know about him is from watching him acting.

Sigh, here’s Lainey again with her conspiracy theory. Boy, she’ll never give it a rest, will she? Maybe it’s just the fact that the other actors who voted think that Alan Arkin, Jackie Earle Haley, Djimon Hounsou, Eddie Murphy, and Mark Wahlberg gave better performances. It’s not a crime. And why would there be an Angelina backlash when Brad is becoming one of the most powerful players in HW? Or maybe I’m just too naive and maybe there are political ramifications to this Oscar thing that I have no clue about.

What is going on in USA????What are you doing with Angie? This wonderfull women and so wonderful actress?
Dont you want her anymore?
She is very welcomed in France and Germany and Italy and Austria and so on.

Why dont you do anything against this horrible Press she gets?
WHY IS BRAD PITT NOT PROTECTING HER????????????????

_______________________

TreJolie, I just want to jump in here. Despite all the bashing that Angelina is getting, America should, in my view, be very glad that there are citizens like her, who travel, as a representative of the UN, but also, inevitably, as a citizen of the United States of America. America’s image in Asia has gone down tremendously since George Bush became president and the war in Iraq has compounded the decline. We do see the increase risk of terrorism in our region to be directly linked to the botched Iraqi War.

Angelina has been in tremendous ambassador, not just for the UN but also for America by virtue of the fact that she is an American citizen. To me, she represents the part of America that understands the concerns of the rest of the world. She represents the part of America that I remember - their generosity. She isn’t the America, that demonises Muslims or believes that if you are not in agreement with George Bush, you are anti American. Everyone who has seen Lara Croft and M&MS in Asia know of Angelina and like her. They’ve read about her UN work in Africa and Asia and they like that. Many parts of Asia are stlll very poor. We respect the fact that she is helping the poor here.

No, I’m not sanctifying her. There are many american philantrophists who do wonderful work, for example Bill and Melinda Gates, Oprah (yes I know she has a detractors but this woman has my respect for the hardships she has overcome and her charitable work, even if I question the efficacy of the $40m school) and others whom I don’t know. But if people don’t know who the other philantrophists are, then they can’t be ambassadors for the US, which those I’ve mentioned most definitely are.

There is a saying that a prophet is never accepted in their home country. So, perhaps it is with Angelina.

As for Brad saying something. I agree with the poster who works for the media. In the end, this bashing is part of the sick celebrity cycle. When the media thinks they have bashed you enough, they will start to build you up again. This time though, I won’t fall for it either way.

Brad and Angelina are still the best, definitely. Great actors, beautiful movie stars, great human beings and great family people. They’ve been recognized as great actors before by these institution, maybe this is not completely their time. The whole world know their great actors and I think to me it’s a matter of timing.

Congrats to Babel. It truly was a great movie with a great ensemble cast. Congrats to BP for being a major part of two great Movies, the Departed and Babel. Congrats to the two women of Babel, Rinko and Adriana. Their parts were heartbreaking and all consuming. Also congrats to Jennifer Hudson, she gives new meaning to “a star is born”.
