to the oscar snub idiot.. So does your snub theory hold true for the like of Matt Damon Jack Nicholson both from the departed ? Ben Afflek were they all snubbed too. Or just Brad, He was the only one snubbed?
Hello Karma calling Brad Pitt, um yeah.
actually the oscars
are known for snubbing real actors like Peter O’Toole.
I’m sorry but looking panic stricken for 20 mins about your wife’s shooting in BAbel
was that really a challenge?
Babel has a great cast, but bad bad script. It’s too contrived and has too many bad
things automatically happening to storyline to be edgey and confrontational.
CLINIQUA #114 good job i like your sense of humour.
Okay, please do NOT tell me THIS is a coincidence - this has happened twice now.
On the day of the GOLDEN GLOBES, we get the PRESS ANNOUNCEMENT, that MANISTON will be GUEST STARRING on the HACK TV SHOW, DIRT.
Now on the day of the ACADEMY AWARDS we get the PRESS ANOUNCEMENT about what MANISTON’S ROLE WILL ENTAIL.
Really strategic timing Stephen…HUVANE is DELIBERATELY trying to have her occupy air time on the day of huge industry events.
Like, ‘Gee — ET will surely cover the Academy Award announcements today, this will insure that Maniston gets squeezed into coverage that features Brad in some capacity.’
Pathetic.
SO TRUE
i can now see that Anistons and her PR they dont want the triange to go, she want to use Pitt fame to make her own success.
Well always believe something both good and bad have a reward let them continue and the end of everything Pitt still have something to be proud of that is his beautiful family.
sorry for my english am from russia and english is not my language.
All ther BAMZS fans should keep on the good work of supporting the Jolie-Pitt family.
The BAMZS are here to stay and live for long.

Oh come on ……do these people really want to infuriate Brad?
i mean really now, nominating Will Smith and Kate Hudson but not him?
————————————–WHORES———————————————-
How many people decide anyway?
_______
Black, What are trying to saying about Will Smith? He doesnt deserve his Nomination?!?
You’re a Clown, Dont bother Posting on this site anymore.
CLINIQUA #114
You are soo right on about this one.
its like he doesn’t think people are going to notice what he’s been doing for the past two freaking years. Aniston is pathetic for letting him to it. Doesn’t she have enough money to retire of fug face already?
Congrats to all the films and actors! I hope Eddie gets this one since it’s his best performance in the last fifteen years.
This probably got gobbled up in the last thread so I’m reposting.
Original curious, Estelle, Alex, hunnybunny, and AG, I’ve updated MB2 and Ag I don’t know if you were around but I posted chapter 8 over the weekend.

cliniqua keep on the good work i always enjoy your post because it speak sense to the hater head
People just kill me.
While some BAMZS fans are still voicing their disappointment, I’m sure that they’ll work it out of their system… sooner than two years, that’s for sure.
As for those who feel that poetic justice has occurred, please, get it together.
It’s just like saying that Dreamgirls didn’t get a nod for best pic because they wronged Jennifer Holliday…
It’s just like saying that Jack got snubbed due to the shabby way he treated Anjelica Huston, Lara Flynn Boyle, and dozens others…
It’s just like saying that Steve Carell got passed over because he’s doing double-duty in both films and television.
It’s like saying that ___ got passed over last year because Derailed and RHI cancelled each other out. Only if it was a competition for which sucked more.
Brad Pitt has ambition and fortunately for him, he has his rivalry with Clooney, which may inspire him to do even better works; he has his rivalry with Angelina, both of whom admitted that their competitive streak yielded benefits for the two of them; and most of all, he has a rivalry between he and his younger self. His current self has experienced disappointments and setbacks and I’m sure that he sat down and examined his wrong turns; and he knows that there are opportunities to be had without courting the press or the disgruntled princesses.
Fortunately, all of these ‘rivals’ aren’t out to defeat or conquer him– they are all out for better, period. And hopefully, the audience will reap their toils.
BTW… isn’t it funny that the press isn’t forcing Clooney to eat his hat after he publically proclaimed that Cate Blanchett was a shoe-in for The Good German? Curious, huh…
Why are people repeating the same things that have been posted 4, 5 times already. [Lmaoo]
Acting as if they had an Original idea, or opinion.
Yessssss! Go George Clooney.
I read that Brad gets Radiesse (like Botox) injections so this must be why he always looks so expressionless. And if this is not true then all the **** we read about Jen Aniston must not be true either right? Because all this crap comes from the same rag mags. And it can’t be true from some and nor for others.
Oh wait…er…please disregard my last post…I was..err…that was in my dreams. Oh man, No BP , no GC? What are we supposed to do for eye candy?

You know, I’ve sometimes concidered the “conpiracy theory” as an amusing coincedence. But not this time, The oddly placed Saint Jude commercial, that annoucement at the time of the GG, now this. I don’t believe Huvane is a big mover and shaker that he can orcherstrate everything that happens in the media. but press announcements, buying airtime for a commercial…..totally doable.
I read that Aniston had a brow lift, boob job, botox… and the list goes on.

I wasn’t on board on this theory of Cliniqua’s, thinking, oh, come on, this can’t be true, he can’t be that powerful — but I was just watching Extra on NBC and what did I see — sure enough, they were talking about the lesbian kiss between _ and CCox on Dirt as one of their top stories (not sure if it was THE TOP story, because I switched channels kinda after the program started). And they really stretched the story to about 2-3 minutes (which is LOOOOONG on entertainment television), even mentioning the supposed kiss between CCox and _ on Season 4 of Friends.
Cliniqua, I BOW TO YOUR SUPERIOR INTUITION. YOU ARE SO FREAKING RIGHT!!!

++++++++++++++
The Good German had to much hype, the movie didn’t get love from the critics nor the Box office.
sure der gonna get anjie as presenter…..hopefully,shes not going.

Babel is a very good film. Not outstanding, but very good. I like the themes it touches: loss, isolation, lack of communication and the way lives interconnect globally in an apparently random way. The flutter of a butterfly’s wings, indeed.
Brad has an excellent performance (I prefer the “pee scene” to more lauded “telephone scene” for its quiet intimacy), hopefully the first of his much awaited renewal as an actor, fulfilling earlier promises. Paraphrasing his words in the Newsweek roundtable: movies have followed.
Thus said, I never thought it was a role for awards and was even surprised he was nominated for the GG. Not because the role was small, but because it was not showy. Awards are almost never given to contained performances and American awards are always given to the flashy ones. Chewing the scenery and emoting crazily are so very appreciated by the American movie establishment that most of the times acting awards are mere histrionic rewards.
As for the Oscar ceremony, there is a good chance BP will be there. He has been invaluable – and indefatigable - in promoting Babel and is a producer of The Departed (even if declared not eligible for awards), both serious Best Film contenders. I believe AJ will be there for him, cohesion and shared aims are traits of a couple and they are extremely well coupled.
And this leaves me in the unfortunate position of having to watch another boring awards show. I found the GG (my first and - in default of future B&A nominations - surely the last) excruciating. A bland and lacklustre experience. These things need a host, someone funny who interacts with the public and brings the show together. The GG have too many awards, too many presenters… mostly woody and unconvincing. And the television and film worlds do not mix well. It feels much less glamorous than the Oscars (and I find the Oscars so tame) with all the TV people there. Really… who cares about sitcom starlets and series ensembles? Granted, the Oscars have a host and Ellen D. has some wit… but most of the categories have tedious winners. Who wants to watch a cinematographer perform on the podium? Who wants to hear another graceless thanking speech? Who cares about the screenwriter spouse who smiles on cue from the aisle? As far as I am concerned, I only want to see Brad, Angie and a few – very few – other actors. So I learned my lesson from the GG: tape the Oscars and fast forward to the rare interesting bits. If B & A do not attend… well, I’ll be sure to look at the pictures the next day. To find out about the outfits, of course.
