Oscar nominations are in!!! Although Dreamgirls picked up a total of 8 nominations, it failed to pick up a best picture nod. Babel scored 7 nominations, including Best Picture. The 79th Annual Academy Awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, Feb. 25 at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center, and televised live by ABC @ 8PM ET/PT. The “less important” nominations are after the jump!

It realyl is great; and she also has this email thinggy going on, which i love, she will share with you things she won’t post or ask for suggestions etc. I am pretty sure she is in Canada, I’ll check my emails, but she is great!!!! But don’t expect loads of comments but she will have me full time for awhile now………..

I have just learned that Angelina Jolie has fired her talent agency CAA after 13 months there. This is a huge loss, the biggest in quite some time for that agency which has a history of keeping its marquee clients in the fold. Oscar-winner Jolie right now is inarguably the top actress in the world in terms of salary, talent and heat. And she’s just made the cover of People as “World’s Most Beautiful” (and stares out from newsstands every week). All CAA would confirm to me this afternoon was that “she is no longer a client.” CAA also told me that Brad Pitt is still a client. Before Angelina went to CAA in March 2005, Jolie was represented by just her manager at Media Talent Group. When she and MTG decided she needed an agent, she met with every major agency in town, then chose CAA. Presently, the very pregnant actress has been relaxing in Namibia with Brad Pitt and her two children.

That, apparently, is the post-Thanksgiving message Kate Hudson has for many of the men in her life.
A week and a half after hubby and Black Crowes front-man Chris Robinson filed for divorce from Hudson, the “Le Divorce” star is decamping CAA for rival talent agency Endeavor, TMZ has learned.
There, she’s to be repped by Endeavor partner and former CAA agent Patrick Whitesell, whose mission will be to get her mind off of the Black Crowe — and onto more meaty roles, like the one created by Cameron Crowe. His 2000 sleeper hit, “Almost Famous,” got Hudson nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar, after all.
Insiders say Hudson had, of late, felt that her CAA reps were focusing on big paydays, rather than on securing her the Oscar hardware that so many actresses crave — including mom Goldie Hawn, who was nominated twice for “Cactus Flower” (a win) and “Private Benjamin” (a loss).
Wagged one agent observing the inter-agency fray: “After ‘You, Me & Dupree’ the road back [to Oscar nominations] isn’t doing an Andy Tennant movie.”
The acid-tongued agent was referring to the inauspiciously-named “Fool’s Gold,” a broad comedy that re-teams Hudson with her “How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days” co-star Matthew McConaughey, helmed by Tennant, who’s directed movie like “Sweet Home Alabama” and “Anna and the King.”

There are many articles (not related to Brad/Angie fan sites) that said Angie is the ONLY A-lister who doesnt have a publicist. How can this be lie? This is public knowledge in the industry. You are behaving like your idol Aniston, lies. If you want to write lies, at least write something convincing. Angie is not like your idol Aniston. Your Aniston lied all the time. You remember Jen lied even about the relationship with Vince?
Brad is now in New Orleans. Angie is in Vietnam. What’s wrong if you havent heard from them? Do they have to make news everyday?

i’m quite disappointed brad didn’t get nominated. he soooo deserve it. just watched babel and he was amazing. if judi dench can get nominated and won for shakespeare in love for a mere 8 minutes appearance, why brad wans’t is beyond me. the same way that jake should have won the oscars instead of GC, or Cate for Elizabeth instead of GP.

That is all I truly want for Brad and Angelina and their family-to prosper in love and happiness and togetherness. Brad has been nominated for an Oscar before and will be again. On the other hand there may exist just one shot at having a life with the love of your life, and that’s way more important than an award. Fans sites have gotten wealthy by breathlessly posting brangelina news as only fansites can. That’s why on every positive blog that put news on Brad or Angelina for FANS have been victims of theft by nasty snarky blogs who live and die by the hits they get. Haters live and die by tabloid stories so they get rich as well. Everybody wants to know what Brad & Angelina are up to. Like it or not. The ones who aren’ t are boring and not the desireable demographic. They are fabulous international couple. JA’s claim to fame is that of being Brad Pitt’s wife and her Rachel haircut on Friends. Not bad. During this time she made a lot of money. She should just kick back and be the grande dame mentoring up & coming starlets.
We will continue to want to know about the latest about Brad & Angelina and watch as their family grows. We hope they continue to bring attention to issues that Hollywood pretends doesn’t exist. At least they try.

I think people get mixed up because they don’t realize that Vietnam, like India is about a day ahead of US, so Friday there is Thursday in the US. Angelina was in Vietnam for 5-6 hours on Vietnam’s Friday (US Thursday), then flew back to NOLA and arrived there on NOLA-US Friday (which would be Vietnam Saturday). The news accounts of her visit occurance referred to Friday, and it was the VIETNAM FRIDAY, not US Friday.
The flight each way is about 20 hours, so she had to be worn out when she got back to the US, but she is dedicated and determined to help others. My hope is that someday doubters give her the credit she so deserves for her efforts (of course I am just dreaming of utopia).
I wanted Brad to get the nomination, but i hope he get a nomination as a producer for The Departed.

This may be an old video, but, the early portion of it shows Angie walking on that stage as a presenter. She is wearing that magnificent white silk gown……I mean, God….she just takes your breath away. I am wondering if Brad was there…..and I am certain that all the men dropped their jaws as she came forward to present the award. She OWNED that moment, and still do!

Monserrat, surely Oscar Snub is much too forgiving and kind a person to have felt spite, bitterness, hold a grudge?? No no indeed, these things are banished from her mind, her soul. In fact that’s why she posts here. When she has finished making her spiteful mean comments here, she has cleansed her soul. So, she holds no bitterness, spite, jealousy, anger or grudges within her. In fact, like an innocent child, she probably doesn’t even understand sarcasm.
