Brad Pitt to Paparazzi: “You Guys are Unbelievable”

Brad Pitt was spotted leaving an office in West Hollywood, Calif late last night for a business meeting, reportedly. He was seen carrying a copy of a the Ron Hansen book, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (one of Brad’s new films that wrapped up last year and due out later this year). Brad, for obvious reasons, wasn’t very welcoming of the horde of paparazzi that swarmed around him as he hopped into his car. Before leaving, Brad addressed the paparazzi saying, “You guys are unbelievable.”

Other pictures include Brad and Angelina Jolie driving around L.A. earlier in the day. Also included is one scan of Brad Pitt in the table of contents of this week’s Entertainment Weekly.

Are you serious? They are American citizens. You think the tabloid media is going to ride them out of their own country? That’s insane.

I belive that both Angelina, Brad and thier kids should leave America. Why live in a country where you have a media and part of a public which constantly derides, abuses and manipulates everything that they say and do. Both these individuals are held in the highest of esteem in and around the globe. Especially Angelina - who is regarded as a grounded, mature, intelligent young woman who has her heart in the right place and we see her flaws as what her makes normal and a real person. One only has to read the comments on the US magazine site or the NY times Caryn James bitter musings or Ryan Seacreast’s whining lies to question why on earth should they remain in a country which shows so little appreciation and value towards them?
It appears to be that some Americans and the media have such an innate ability of not being able to see honesty, sincereity and genuiness - because it is so lacking within the american society, that as soon as one person who stands up above her peers emerges, she is quickly chopped down.
Thank heavans that the world is a bigger place - and the attidues that are evidenced in the american society against these two - are not what the rest of the world belives.

**********************************************

Couldn’t agree more! What you say of American society is soooo true, unfortunately. There’s a pack mentality towards anyone who dares to be “different”, and it brings out a bloodlust to belittle and destroy anyone deemed to be an “outsider”.

Sometimes I feel as if I am standing on a cliffside watching all the lemmings run right off the edifice, willingly smashing themselves and as many others as they can drag down with them onto the rocks below, and I am the only one trying to get them to stop and consider whether or not this a good idea. Of course they just keep gleefully jumping off the edge…

My husband and I have actually considered moving to Europe once our children are grown. I wouldn’t blame Brad and Angie one bit of they left.

Indeed they are American citizens, hence perhaps americans should realise the value of these individuals instead of constantly bashing and deriding them. Whenever there is an article, photo, interview of either of these two, the worms that come out of the woodwork to dismiss them are incredible, I ask you - why on earth would any person let alone persons with children would want or should live in a country where their contributions are belittled and and treated with such derision?

Katie, I would suggest you step away from gossip blogs. Gossip blogs are not a reflection of the majority of society. There are over 300 million Americans in the United States. Most of them are not posting on blogs and writing hateful things about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Lets be rational and realize that the internet is called World wide. It’s not just American’s posting on American gossip blogs.

judging by the video, you can see Brad has had enough,i think they will move to Europe after fiming in New Orleans by the end of the year.Angelina was saying they were thinking about it.

Please don’t generalize American’s. I can see by the way you write that you are not an American by the use of a s instead of a z in realize.

The value of them? They are actors and activists. They are human beings. They aren’t in labs trying to find the cure for cancer or policeman protecting citizens or everyday people who are the cogs of society that make sure the nation works and functions. Let’s not get crazy here. They’re doing their part as much as they can just like everyone else who pays taxes!

Now a days, America is always viewed with suspicion. What happened to the good old days when the USA was considered everyone’s good friend and champion?

Hmmm … can’t help but think now that there must be something wrong with good ‘ol USA.

Katie, while I do agree with you as I said before, and I did say I wouldn’t blame B&A if they did leave the country, I realistically don’t think they will. I think they will stay here and tough it out, and hopefully change a few minds along the way. Thankfully, there are some Americans who do get it and see the bigger picture. It’s just hard to hear us over the din of idiocy that is our media.

Plus, I think Angie still has enough pi-s-s and vinegar in her not to let them run her off.

Nonna, totally agree except it is the American media which is feeding the frenzy and the supply and demand of the majority of the people - i.e AJ/BP bashing - which has gone on for the last three years. Take aside the mindless comments from the blog spots, how do you account for the negative jibes from media publications? These publications are simply feeding the fodder that the public enjoys and wants to read. And Nonna I am from SWitzerland, I can tell you that these two individuals are looked upon in such a different light than the sensationlistic manner in which the american media protrays them.
As an american you are probably affronted - but this is not about patriotism or loyalty to one’s country, this is about two human beings who have three children that they need to take account for - and for them to have to grow up in a society which blackens their parents name is simply not healthy.

Why? Because an American citizenship is the most valued and coveted thing in the world. Whether you believe it or not. You pay waaaay too much attention to gossip and innuendo. You clearly follow them so you would know that anywhere Brad and Angelina go the public embraces them. John Q. Today is my last day coming to this site for a little while. I hate feeling guilty over my contribution to this madness. I like Brad and Angie, I think that they are good people. They deserve to be left alone . Grieving and mourning is a rough situation. I am to addictive to you smart people, your convo is the best. Keep up the faith and continue to fight the good fight.

Katie, being from Switzerland? I’m sorry but you’re country has never paid the price that American’s have for freedom and liberty against tyranny and facisism. Trust me. I really think Brad and Angelina purchasing property in New Orleans was a very positive move. The people they have interviewed there seem protective of them. I can see them being able to live a semi-private life there if they should choose to do so, at least for part of the school year (I hope). Best wishes to the whole family.

Yes, Uncle Sam is right… but guys, sometimes don’t you just feel like you are surrounded by idiots? Do you find yourself asking, “Am I the only person around (wherever you live) that has the sense to come in out of the rain?”

Cuz dayum, I feel that way alot of the time. But then again, I am around college students all day, so there ya go. I do my little part to enlighten their pea brains, so right here, right now I must go off to class and cast my pearls before swine.

BBL

My 2 cents worth. Thanks Jared for posting photos of the BAMZS as quickly as you have always done. However, I’d like you to take down most of these photos and also the video. I haven’t clicked on the video and I’ve not looked that closely at the photos - the comments from those who have turns me off.

I hope you will reconsider your decision.

I can totally understand it if you thought your curiosity about all things BAMZS has turned into a fixation, but if you think that your curiosity is behind behavior like the paps in the video and what happened with Princess Diana, I think you are wrong.

With the exception of a couple of wingnuts crying out for Shiloh pics, I think that the vast majority of us knows when a line has been crossed and we’re very vocal about it. Digging trenches on private property, faking ailments in order to be stationed in a birthing clinic, soliciting bidders for pics from a stolen digital camera, and other indignities that BAMZS have suffered is not the fans’ fault. It is about money and ego, period. It’s about having a captive audience, but not from one’s own steam.

Maybe fan fiction could qualify, although the only currency the writer will get is feedback; I do think that the closest we’ve got to be paps-like was when someone posted a pic of a fan with Brad Pitt, despite the fan, in question, stating that her sharing of it was on the q.t. since her job could’ve been in jeopardy. The friend of the friend of the fan who sent it to sites was about ego, period, as is #69 Hypocritical Behavior who sees an introspective audience and decides to slip his/her philosophy into the discussion. Yes, it’s a free board, but the emphasis wasn’t on motivation; it was about action and #69’s attempt to herd other people’s actions.

When I was a kid, I remember seeing a cover of the Enquirer. There was a picture of an overweight woman on the cover; I think she was wearing a red two-piece swimsuit and she was running around on a beach. I didn’t realize that headlines could be snide until I read theirs; it said GUESS WHO THIS IS!!! or words to that effect. I looked inside and saw that it was Lee Remick. I didn’t know who she was at the time, but I do remember that a month or so later, she died, of cancer. I do think of that cover a lot, especially when tabloids roll out their semi-annual ailing elderly celeb story; I recall that they engaged in that practice with Jimmy Stewart and Katharine Hepburn- now they’re doing it to Elizabeth Taylor.

My point is that it’s about intent; the mag is out to get money, power, and some prestige– Lee Remick was out to enjoy a day on a beach and no amount of weight gain or complications from cancer was going to stop her. So please, people, be conscious of your intent, whether you’re posting on this board or making proclamations about yourself about your impending actions or reactions to this current situation.

I posted this morning on Angelinajoliewatch.com that I will not be posting the pictures that the paparazzi are shooting. I beg of you, take down the pics, spread the word. It’s not just about AJ… when anyone looses a loved one they deserve privacy to bury and morne them… celebrities included. Be the bigger guy and don’t feed into the scum-suckers.

The thought that you are equating tabloid journalism to mainstream America and it’s opinions of Brad and Angelina is just play misguided.
