Ditto. It bothers me immensely that anyone would even give a micron of creedence to a tabloid let alone one along the lines of STAR. This is the very one Brad Pitt has banned from his press conferences as well as the only one I’ve ever known him to threaten with a lawsuit when they intruded on his family in Missouri. I’m not angry about it being posted, but I am perturbed that I’m reading “if this is true” being posted. Please consider the source folks, and how damn disrespectful they are for making claims that a woman said on her deathbed. The title of the song is called Mama by Celine Dion. I just look it up and it’s not in the CD I bought for my sister. At first I thought it was in Celine Dion “Miracle”. It’s a beautiful CD for new mothers.

as for brad, he’s doing the right thing by drawing the razzi away so angie can mourne and using this time to plan the funeral. brad is a smart guy and knows better that if he/angie are together at all times, absolutely no way they can get things done and it will only make worse for angie. as for work, he has to take care of it even just for a couple of hours and a way of getting the razzi away from angie. but, he goes home to angie and support her alone and at home!!!!!!!

I have to disagree with you. This isn’t a positive story; it is Star positioning themselves for the ‘Angelina is disrespecting her dying mother’s wish’ story, when Brad and Angelina don’t marry. Remember who Star’s core audience are; the priggish princesses, who put on the pose of being dutiful and dependable, but all the while, they’re conducting their doings diabolically. Already, people are harping on about Angelina’s travels over the last year; the priggish princesses are saying that Angelina didn’t fulfill her duties as daughter, ie. staying stateside, forgoing her relationship with Brad and opting to stay by her mother’s side, etc. nevermind the fact that they don’t know who Marcheline really was or how she felt about her children’s role in her recovery/dying.

These princesses like perpetuating the system that is most beneficial to them; being a martyr and getting the feedback/validation that the title entails. Sorry, girlies, but not all women are tapped to be the physical caregiver of a dying parent. This isn’t an agrarian society, circa the 1800s, where it was a foregone conclusion that the daughter would do it. Nor is it a foregone conclusion that a mother would request her daughter to do it.

You can proclaim that you wouldn’t leave your parent, blah, blah, blah… but you can only speak for your own experience and even then, your parent… you know, the one who is dying, has a say in the extent of your participation in their dying.

I think Brad was out there keeping the paps away from the real prey they were seeking….Angelina. We have seen her in three pictures since her mothers death.
Brad is being protective of her and this no doubt will strengthen this relationship.

Just like the Star didn’t have “hidden microphones” recording Marcheline’s last “dying wish”, a poster above doesn’t have MD behind their name, making medical diagnosis from their computer keyboard. There are others in Hollywood that are not immune to using pity as a PR tool to remain relevant.

My father passed away two years ago. I went to visit him every chance I got….the last time I saw him….the look in his eyes….the way he looked back at me, told me that he was not going to be with us much longer……I went home and on my first day back at work he passed away…….his death was not sudden because the doctors had done all they could do…..this was over the space of a three weeks…..

Angelina went to Viet Nam and was on the ground for about 5 hours and flew right back. While everyone was “speculating” about the trip she was on her way back because??????? They had to know this was coming…New Orleans is a 3 hour or less trip from LA……

So true. I keep thinking about BBT and JLM, and of course it’s mere speculation on my part, but I just don’t see either of them being who Brad is where watching over his family is concerned. They both seem like perfectly cool people, but neither of them strike me as men Angelina could hand over the reigns to if they were in this type of situation.

On another note, Billy Bob was interestingly enough on the set of the movie Brad’s producing (PEACE LIKE A RIVER) when they interviewed him about Miss Bertrands death. He had a true affection for her and called her “a great lady”. I also got the distinct impression that he had been aware of her condition as it was immediatly before her death because he said along the lines of “them” knowing it wasn’t long. I saw him on two different shows and ET was one I’m pretty certain, but can’t recall the other.

PEOPLE magazine is the only magazine that’s actually a fan & entertainment magazine. It does not BASH celebrities. Only tabloids do that with their screaming headlines. She put up with his controlling ways for over two years before finally leaving. Now when it comes giving advice, he shuts the f**k up.

Please since when did we all lose our conscience? Brad and Angelina are mourning the loss of a mother. I believe everyone here was born by a woman and we understand the consequences of losing a mother. At a time like this I think we can focus on the positive. This story is a bunch of made up stuff. BUT the sad thing is it will continue. I remember when Princess Diana died. Some article I read stated that she was larger than life and when she was on the cover of any magazine or newspaper–it sold, sold, sold copies. Anything she did was news. She had an unexplained charisma. The article went on to say “who is going to replace her.” I think the tabs and mags are looking for someone to replace Princess Diana–someone who’s appearance in them will generate sales, push up revenue etc. The tabs and paps view ’stars’ (using it loosely as alas Paris Hilton and her ilk are in that category) as money in their pockets. And they will say and do anything to sell their magazines and papers. It doesn’t matter who they hurt, how they hurt them etc. When Diana was killed, how many tabs and gossip mags were there? There were no blogs. Now you have a ton of magazines, tabs and paps competing for the sale of pictures and stories.
And now the paps are trying to find a perfect picture of Angie in her grief. The tabs are probably frothing to make statements like “Angie breaks down,” “Angie unstable” etc. It is sad. These are real people in pain and mags like the Star are despicable.

Oh, my.

So, the faniston’s got nailed posting as multilple’s when they’re the same person because they think they’re so clever that they always trip themselves up because they’re not.

The word marriage has sent them off into fits of anger. Puppies, older people and babies better get out of their way today because they’ll either be kicked or slapped. Damn.

No Cliniqua, I’m sorry and your points were well taken, but I don’t think Brad and Angelina are “solid” yet. I don’t mean there is something wrong with them. But I believe their pasts are dictating their future to some extent. That is why they’re not married now. They both have some things, most likely from their prior relationships, that have given them a little hesitation. And that is good. When in hesitation, wait. They don’t have to wait forever.

I stated that I am a somewhat “anti-male” when it comes to love relationships. I’m not hiding it. I’m that way because of my own experiences. There is something about Brad that is making me think that he’s only now experiencing some things that Angelina has already been through. He has a great family life and has proven to be a good guy, but I think he needs a little more time, that’s all.

Brad doesn’t seem like a wimp, but I think he is doing more compromising than Jolie in their relationship. At the beginning, it seemed that he pursued her. He had to meet her requirements, not the other way around. She wasn’t going to let just anybody get close to Maddox. I know that this opinion is shared by many others, and is not just my opinion. That’s how I see it. And I think it’s good and why things are working out between them.

Shut up. You can’t compare this woman (Marcheline) to that man (Earl Woods) - they are two different human beings. Just like my behavior and wishes would be different from yours if I were in that situation.

To add to that, Tiger Woods had no children, and no other responsibilities except expanding his bank account when his Dad died - why shouldn’t he set up camp, in the kajillion square foot mansion he bought his Dad IF his Dad wanted him to do so?

Marcheline is a different case altogether, she’s a woman, considerably younger (56, as oppose to 74 year old Earl Woods), who was functional and getting around and had been *living with cancer* for more than 7 years in a hotel, until she suddenly got worse, and could not rebound, all reports have said. There is no way you can compare. Marcheline would not have wanted Angie and Brad to stop living their lives and raisig their kids, to move in with her in case she suddenly was on death’s door. For a younger person afflicted with cancer, seeing your kids stop living and start being miserable, hovering over you on a kind of ‘death watch,’ is ENOUGH to make you sicker than you already are.

You can’t compare HER to an elderly man who had been worsening over a period of years until he was bedridden and very ill for a long period of time, EXPECTING TO DIE, and his family could see he was going downhill.

These tabloid magazines are absolutely garbage. The stuff they make up…it boggles my mind how any rational human being could actually believe ANYTHING that is in those magazines!

These tabloid tv shows aren’t much better either. ET, Extra, Access Hollywood,The Insider, E! News, Inside Edition, Showbiz Tonight. These shows are the worst piece of trash ever. What kind of credible entertainment show has reporters from US Weekly, Star Magazine, etc. as sources for news. These shows are so two-faced. One minute they are kissing the celebrities ass, and the next they are reporting about the latest bullshit rumor.

The only one with any kind of credibility is Extra. I watched last night and didn’t here a word about Brad or Angelina. I don’t know if it’s because they are just late or they just decided that her mother’s death wasn’t a story that they should be covering. Either way, I respect them more than the other garbage shows out there.

I think all those other shows need to be canceled any way. ET and The Insider are practically the same show. I’m tired of all of them claiming to have “breaking news,” or being the “first” to report a story. Nothing irks me more than ET’s bullshit claims of being the only one with a story, when I saw the same damn story on the entertainment show that comes on before they do. On top of that, I hate how they like to overdramatize situations like the Buddafuco face-to-face **** and this **** with the beauty queen drug addict.

I’m glad I’m not a celebrity. In this day and age of mass media, globalization, and rapidly improving technology; I would be afraid to leave me house. I imagine it must feel like living in a fish bowl only ten times scarier. I would be so ******* paranoid. Always watching my back to see if somebody is taking my picture, be it paparazzi or some stranger with a camera phone. This stuff really needs to die down before somebody gets hurt. The governator needs to pass some laws to help out his peers.

These entertainment shows and tabloids need to die. Extra can stay around because they seem to report legitimate celebrity news. Everybody else needs to rot. Did these shows used to not be so focused on celebrity personal lives? I’m trying to remember when was the last time I watched one of those shows and saw something a celebrities movie and not their personal life. Unfortunately, I just see the situation getting worse before it gets better. Hopefully, everybody will come out relatively unscathed.

I gotta hand it to the Jolie-Pitts, there are people who need this attention more than Britney’s crotch or Paris’s herpes or K-Fed’s embarassment. At least they understand that and are trying to bring attention to the Katrina victims and refugees around the world. They understand the important things in life and are trying to make people understand what really matters. I hope people eventually wake up and focus what’s important. What exactly is our government doing in all those foreign countries? How were allowed to violate our rights without us knowing? What is happening to all those Katrina victims? etc.

Hope you guys have nice days. I’m laying of celebrity everything for the next couple of days. I’m absolutely drained now.

Excuse me, but Tiger Woods and his mother were at his father’s bedside when Earl died. I am an Angelina fan, but the two do not compare. They loved their parents in different ways. I can tell you Tiger would play on the East Coast and fly overnight to visit his Dad in California and fly back to the East Coast to meet his afternoon tee time. He was with Earl when Earl died and took nine weeks off to mourn his loss. Tiger extended his Christmas 2005 holidays from the Tour way into January 2006 so he could remain on the West Coast to nurse his dad. He said he didn’t know when Christmas Day arrived, because one day just melted into another as he remained by his dad’s side. I’m sure Angelina loved her Mom, but I wouldn’t compare the two and I certainly wouldn’t write falsehood about

But isnt that exactly what you’re doing? comparing? It very much reads as if you feel Tiger’s feelings for his dying father were somehow taken more seriously by him than Angelina’s were for her mother based on what you know about his flight schedule during that time.

You fail to understand that Tiger has chosen to share with the public via the press his last days with his dad. Angelina has not, and so you, nor I, nor anyone else outside of their very immediate circle know of her mothers health other than she had ovarian cancer.

We don’t know if she was given a time frame or not. We have never heard of her even being in a hospital before now, and no that doesn’t mean she wasn’t, but the point is, we don’t know everything and so attempting to compare care and concern based on what’s been doled out to the press at Tiger or Angelina’s discretion shouldn’t be viewed as one kid caring more than the other.

When Angelina was a guest on Larry King LIVE, he inquired, and she seemed quite upbeat about her mom’s condition then. Who’s to say she didn’t subsequiently have a set back, rallied, and her prognosis was on an upswing once again to the point of encouraging her kids to quit hovering. She may have been doing hunky dory and then she wasn’t. It’s not out of the question or an impossibilty that she took a quick change for the worse last friday, and from there she never returned.

At the end of it all, two people each lost not only a parent, but a parent they each called their best friend and I bet they’d find comfort in their similarities, and not be trying to compare who showed more love and attention. JMHO

I knew there would be no interview with Angie. But I see a certain someone has given that magazine an “exclusive”. Why? to talk about her appearing on her BFF’s tv show? Why not wait til right before the episode is aired? And didnt she once call People mag a tabloid on Oprah? The sad truth that everyone knows is of the passing of Angelina’s mother from ovarian cancer after battling for 7 years. It’s a very sad time for the family. From the way Brad & Angelina went back to their lives after the GG’s (and probably from visiting Ms. Bertrand) this sudden turn of events comes as a shock. They are all on auto pilot right now. I wish them strength in the next few months.

Shame on all of you being dispecable at this moment. This family has shown nothing but humility and strength for almost 8yrs since their mom was diagnosed. Angie should be commended for putting her grief aside to actually know and care for other people who too are vulnerable and suffering. The three of them were so close and each day with their mom was a blessing. And at this time, Angie and James, are in so much pain for losing the one sure thing that they’ve always had. Hopefully they will be given the space to mourn, grieve and heal. Angie has good people around her who love her - her family and close friends.

Yes true but it works both ways, we don’t know that they are perfect or things are perfect either, because WE DONT KNOW THESE PEPOPLE. However, I prefer to take the positive approach and assume, it doesn’t mean I’m right, but kinda of sick way to live your life just always thinking the worst in people. So my point is the negative assumptions and comments says a heck a lot more about the misery of the person making the assumption than the person they are saying it about.

Thank you Original Curious for being your fabulous self. ITA with you about the things are written here. During 8th grade classmate of mine died because he had overdosed on oxycontin and other drugs. Personally, I didn’t care for him, he used people including my friends, he was mean and he was fake but I didn’t speak ill of him after his passing. I could never be that malicious because I knew a lot of people in my grade were mourning his death.

It’s a sad sign of our times when people who are decent, kind, generous and humane are torn apart like Brad and Angie are but soulless people like BO’R receive millions for spewing hate and lies. Like this Shawn Hornbeck ordeal he will not let up, he even had a show where he featured abducted children who escaped from their captors then he pointed out times when Shawn could have escaped. Yet, Fox News like always stood by him. What’s more disturbing is the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children hired him as a keynote speaker for one of their fund raising events and they have not dropped him.

So people calling people awful names here because they are saying awful things here about a person or people they don’t know. Does it get any crazier than this?
