Katie Holmes’ Harpers Bazaar Cover
Katie Holmes dishes it in the March 2007 issue of Harper’s Bazaar as photographed by Peter Lindbergh. Check for it on newsstands starting Feb. 20. Here are some choice excerpts from Katie’s interview:
- On how great life is: “I feel very lucky. I have a husband and children that I adore. I have a career that I really love. When I sit back and reflect, it’s - wow! I am very grateful. Tom makes me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world and has since the day I met him. I love being with him. I love calling him husband.”
- On her first date with Tom: “Here in Los Angeles, my first motorcycle ride…to the beach. It was amazing and fast. I was in love from the moment that I shook his hand for the first time.”
- On motherhood: “I felt so proud to be having a baby and so excited. And I felt closer to other women-to my sisters, to my mom. I felt empowered, like ‘I’ve given birth. I did it! There’s nothing I can’t handle… I’ve really enjoyed this time that I have taken to be with Suri as well as the challenges of the first couple of months: feeding and pumping, learning to decipher what each cry means-is she hungry? Is she tired? Does she need a fresh diaper? And figuring out how to really help her.”
- On her career: “I have a whole new set of responsibilities. My work is very important to me. My family is very important to me. When I go to work, it will be the right thing, worth my time and worth my time away from my family.”

Suri is 1 yr old now and Katonic only refers to her first couple of months, HUH?
She says she will leave her family for the right reasons,
You mean like jetting off to Europe several times in the past year to see fashion shows, or to go to the local park to run through the grass for photo-ops with the gay midget, or the ENDLESS shoe shopping trips at Barneys. Are those right or wrong reasons to leave your family?

Pr person..you must be really lonely and depressed. It’s funny how you analyze everything she said and turned into something bad. It’s typical for a woman to hate on another woman who is doing better than her. The word psycho just jumped in my mind after reading your nonsense.

She said that Katonic lost all of her baby weight by running! That katonic is a real outdoors, athlectic person. WHAT??????
Does anyone remember the story that Tommy put out on how he hired a personal trainer and someone to watch “the kids” so KATE would have time to exercise?

She is just cute not beautiful.
That last pic of her makes her look like a character out of Alice in Wonderland. However, perhaps that’s what they were going for—you know, a symoblic expression of her life?
Common these photos don’t even portray who she is. It’s like she has lost all sense of herself….she was in love with Tom the moment she met him - really? Tom am sure is not a bad man but he is an insecure man! and Katie seems sweet but a tard meek and insecure. It’s ok to be in love but dont change and lose ur personality to fit your partners mold. Be you and be loved for you!

She is a beautiful woman and seems very proud of her children and husband, nothing wrong with that. To the one above me who said newborns dont need any help….do you even have children or have been around children? Newborns are most needy and you dont know what they need and its quite hard to figure out if they are hungry, sleepy, in pain whatever. We havent even read the whole interview and there you are once again, bashing her off. Puhlease! And just because she didnt give birth to Connor and Bella and wasnt around when Tom and Nicole adopted them, doesnt make her any less of their mother then Nicole. She spends more time with them then Nicole does.
I don’t hate her. I just think the excerpts display a rather plastic person. One who thinks she is “sharing” but is actually saying nothing. I also think that there is a staged quality to the quotes. Furthermore, the photos with she, Tom and Tom/Nicole’s kids seem incredibly staged and photo-oped. Prior to this circus both Tom and Nicole took great pains to keep the kids out of public view - now we see them EVERYWHERE in som bizarre attempt to make like the Cleavers (or the Brady’s since that too was a blended family, and just as made up). So no, I don’t hate her, I don’t have enough energy to spend on her.
why does she look constipated in every pic? Is she not allowed to smile…
ceeusbeeus……you said it very well. When Bella and Conner belonged to Tom and Nicole, they did everything to keep their lives private. Now Tom parades them around to every photo-op available.
Nicole continues to keep their private lives private. So much so that the general public assumes they are with tom more then they are with Nicole.
Nicole respects her children.
When Katonic has more children she can be proud of HER children. Like it or not she is NOT the mother to Bella and Conner. She has only been a step monster for a few months. Before that she was a paid shack up ho.
Katonic doesn’t even spend time with her own daughter, how can you say she spends more time with someone elses?
AND NO, she does NOT spend time with Suri, unless you call fashion shows in Paris and the show dept at Barney’s, SURI.
And for those sci-bots that insist that katonic spends a ton of time with HER kids and that HER kids come first….
How come none of these photos include her MUCH LOVED CHILDREN????

The look in her eyes is one of extreme sadness to me…..always. I watched some Dawson Creek just to check this out. Back then she was very cute with sparkly eyes… a happy person look. I no longer see that. Is she is just being serious Katie now, married to that thing and also a mother, or is it something else? Eyes don’t lie do they?
She looks somehow beautiful and definitely much better than she did before.
This life is her own choise. Then we are left only with wishing her the best.

I’m not a Katie fan.. left my fonds for her back in the Dawson’s days but you bashers need to pick on someone else… someone whose realy pathetic like Britney or Lindsy. Katie did nothing wrong to anyone- she just lives her life.. she doesn’t do drugs.. she isn’t an alchoholic or calling ppl names just beacuse they’re black/asian/jews. She didn’t kill anyone (Lane Garrison) or caught on sex tape (Paris and half of Hollywood), she didn’t still nobody’s husband (Angelina) and didn’t bashed ppl for their sex preference (Isiah Washington).

She looks great. There’s nothing wrong to have a nanny. Others have 5 nannies. Ther’s nothing wrong with doing exercises or running for a good shape.
Others try it by starving themselfes almost to death.
Yes, there’s nothing wrong having a nanny for your baby, unless your PR people/interviews have tried to throw out the story that you’re a hands-on mother and you and your ‘man’ had a system where one would feed the baby and the other would burp and change the diaper.
And if she had a nanny, then why not take nanny + baby to Barney’s and other places as well like other moms in Hollywood with nannies.
Katie looks good compared to what we’ve seen of her 99% of the time the last year or two. But the photos are mediocre at best; her photoshoots from years gone by were a lot better. Check out Vogue and other previous issues of Harper’s Bazaar, Katie got the short end of the stick by letting Posh help with the shoot.
You would also think that they could photoshop that sparkle back into her eyes that she used to have.

This I would love to ask Angelina since years. Why do we never see your 5 nannies? Double standard?
katie went to max 3 fashion shows. she doesnt have to be with suri literally every minute. the only pictures posted on these sites are like the ones of the fashion shows so why would she bring a baby to a fashion show? it’s not like we see pictures every single day of her and she isn’t with suri. the few times there are pictures of her they are from an event or dinner with VB or shopping (its hard to shop with a child).
You got to wonder what is rebelling and hating, agreeable and loving in her controlled, micro-managed, brainwashed mind when she carefully poses for publicity and willingly makes so many goody-good statements, and seems unbothered by what we percieve as her wacky-alien life? Because she does know we see her as crazy and misguided. There is a normal limit to behaving in an agreeable and polite manner and of course, she has a right to her privacy, but then she steps out of her protected shell and is amazed we find her ingenuine.
There is a yellow smile, in Arab culture, which is an ingenuine smile. A yellow smile is used when a person is concealing lack of interest, fear, or any emotion he wishes to keep hidden. It is sometimes used as a joke, by making a face of a crooked, ingenuine smile, when somebody tells a bad joke or is trying to make others laugh for something they do not find humorous enough.
There is also a French expression “rire jaune” (”yellow laughter”) which could be translated into English as “mirthless laughter”, laughing without mirth, laughing when you don’t find the joke funny, or when the joke is directed at you.

Katie looks beautiful in those pictures. Tom and Katie are a great couple.

WHY YES! we have seen photos posted of her out EVERY SINGLE DAY without Suri.
And at places such as the PARK!
EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND we’d see these two wacko’s at the park for the “perfect family photo op”.
What? Taking a toddler to a PARK is WRONG?
