Katie Holmes’ Harpers Bazaar Cover
Katie Holmes dishes it in the March 2007 issue of Harper’s Bazaar as photographed by Peter Lindbergh. Check for it on newsstands starting Feb. 20. Here are some choice excerpts from Katie’s interview:
- On how great life is: “I feel very lucky. I have a husband and children that I adore. I have a career that I really love. When I sit back and reflect, it’s - wow! I am very grateful. Tom makes me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world and has since the day I met him. I love being with him. I love calling him husband.”
- On her first date with Tom: “Here in Los Angeles, my first motorcycle ride…to the beach. It was amazing and fast. I was in love from the moment that I shook his hand for the first time.”
- On motherhood: “I felt so proud to be having a baby and so excited. And I felt closer to other women-to my sisters, to my mom. I felt empowered, like ‘I’ve given birth. I did it! There’s nothing I can’t handle… I’ve really enjoyed this time that I have taken to be with Suri as well as the challenges of the first couple of months: feeding and pumping, learning to decipher what each cry means-is she hungry? Is she tired? Does she need a fresh diaper? And figuring out how to really help her.”
- On her career: “I have a whole new set of responsibilities. My work is very important to me. My family is very important to me. When I go to work, it will be the right thing, worth my time and worth my time away from my family.”

and to call somone stupid just shows your ignorance. You are the shallow
one. The truth is you always see katie and Tom ant the Kids soccer games
they seem very involved is all I said. As for being seen with Suri? Just like
Angie with Shiloh the media goes crazy which can be scary for such small
Babies and could be dangerous. Hope you are not a mother you sound
extremely hostile, this is a web site where people give their opions get

I really admire her for thinking of Connor and Isabel as her children. When you marry someone with kids, you have to think of them as your own. Good for you Katie, you have your head on straight.

Katie is beautiful in these photos……and she is a mother to all three children. End of story. Drop it. Nic is also the mother to Bella and Connor. I have a step-mom and I consider her my “mom” as well. Get over it.
And I love how certain people here talk as if they personally KNOW Katie and what she is thinking or feeling. No one will ever know anything truly about Tom and Katie. It’s their lives —- let them live it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And leave the children out of it.

And why are you bashing other celebs to make this drab woman-child (and that is just what she is…caught in some freaky immature loop) seem better somehow? What exactly has she done that has been so awe inspiring? Has she tried helping others in her endless/ mindless pursuits of shopping and coffee drinking? Has she even proven herself to be anymore interesting than say…Lindsay Lohan? At one time, this woman-child could actually give a credible interview, now all we read is drivel.
You bashed Paris but Paris doesn’t pretend to be anything other than the wild child she is. Washington’s words were disrespectful and to some hurtful but he’s not spreading them around talk shows in an attempt to prove himself “all-knowing” like this woman-child’s other half. Angelina didn’t “steal” Brad…his marriage was over long before that stupid movie came into existence and above all else we know that she loves and spends time with her children. She doesn’t shop endlessly…she gives constantly. See the difference? If Katie spent a fraction of the time helping others as she does selecting the “right” pair of pumps and the perfect cup of coffee, maybe…just maybe she’d receive a bit more respect. She doesn’t have to spend days at a time in 3rd world countries to help. She could read to children, lend her name and her “husband’s” considerable power to any charity. She could try studying world events, take a class, and visit a museum…anything worthwhile. Yet what does she do? She shops and you have the nerve to bash others.

Katie is and will always be a fashion icon. She is the most beautiful actress that has ever graced the silver screen and no other actress’s beauty (i.e., Monica Bellucci, Catherine Zeta Jones, Hallie Berry, Angelina Jolie, & Charlize Theron) can hold a candle to Katie’s magnificent beauty. Her acting ability will get her Oscar nominations! She is the best actress in Hollywood! Watch out Meryl Streep-here comes Katie!
