Ashes of Angie’s Mom To Be Scattered
British tabloid The Daily Mirror reports that Angelina Jolie will take Brad Pitt and her family to scatter her mom’s ashes in the Bahamas. (Marcheline Bertrand, 56, died last week from ovarian cancer.)
Their source says: “It was one of her favorite places, so Ange wants this to be special.”

The rules for cremation for Catholics changed in the early 60’s. The rules allow for cremation but would rather the cremation happen after the funeral liturgy.
How would they know? Britain’s Daily Mirror is a tab, right?
I really feel sorry for both of them. I can’t imagine how it would feel losing your mom. I lost my brother last year to cancer. And up to now I still mourn for his death.

HOLLYWOOD stars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are eyeing a return visit to Namibia for a vacation later this year to take a break from their hectic schedule.
During their stay the couple are expected to decide on whether to accept an offer of honorary citizenship made by the Namibian Government, The Namibian has reliably learnt.
A Cabinet decision to that effect was taken last year already, a well-placed source told The Namibian.
“This decision must be seen as a token of appreciation for what they have done for Namibia,” the source said.
Namibia made headlines around the world last year when the celebrity couple chose the coastal holiday village of Langstrand as their temporary home while awaiting the birth of their first biological child, Shiloh Nouvel.
Their baby daughter was born on May 28 2006 at a clinic in nearby Swakopmund.
Shiloh became the most famous baby in the world after the first photos of her were released a few days after her birth.
The Namibian Government immediately informed the Jolie and Pitt that baby Shiloh would receive Namibian citizenship, as she was born here.
Before Jolie and Pitt returned home to the US with Shiloh, their adopted son Maddox (5) and daughter Zahara (2), Cabinet decided to grant them honorary citizenship of Namibia.
“Angelina and Brad were extremely pleased about that, but they requested time to think about it,” a source told The Namibian. They wanted to get advice whether their honorary citizenship would not clash with her charity commitments and her status as UNHCR goodwill ambassador,” the source said.
Jolie already has honorary citizenship of Cambodia, where she adopted her son, Maddox.
The famous couple were dogged by the international press throughout their close to 10-week stay in Namibia and put Namibia on the international map.
Jolie and Pitt travelled to several tourism spots like Namibrand in the southern parts of the Namib Desert and Harnas Wildlife Farm near Gobabis.
The couple donated approximately N$2 million to be equally divided between the Swakopmund and Walvis Bay State hospitals to acquire medical equipment for their maternity departments.
The Harnas Wildlife Foundation also received a donation.

It just seems to me like especially Brad is at the end of his rope with these paps, and I’m just afraid he’s going to lose it and really pop one of them. This family just lost their MOTHER, can’t they give them some peace and distance, so that they can properly mourn. It’s hideous what they are doing to them, they are PEOPLE, with emotions, not animals in a ZOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Frenchy, that’s not correct. Catholics do allow cremation now. They had too. They could not bury all the people who needed to be buried in Catholic cemetaries.
Pitt is hardly at the end of his rope. Obviously, if he needed to be home if Angelina was upset he would be. He’s not. While she and her brother are devasted by the death of their mother people forget they were prepared for it. Marcheline battled this for many, many years.
And won’t it just be wonderful when we have FULL coverage of them in the Bahamas, spreading her mothers ashes?
And won’t it just make all of you more dedicated fans if you get to revel in and watch her grieve?
This circus is disgusting. The tabloids, the paparazzi and the blog world need to walk away from these stories. And you claiming to be fans. Stop commenting, you’re only keeping this circus in business.

One, anything the tabloids say can hardly be belived until things happen to prove it. That’s the best I can say about tabloid’s stories.
Two, the ash rumor surprised me since I thought only the Chinese do that. I thought all Americans (at least those originally from the Western world) want to be buried when they die. And the thought of the dead body being burned is just unthinkable to them. Then, this is AJ, so maybe she doesn’t believe in anything others believe anyway, or she likes to do things in other ways than the “American” way.
Three, it is equally shocking that fans on this site began to discuss the Catholic tradition of handling dead bodies because of a tabloid story, and they are beginning to talk about how the ash thing makes sense to them because they are AJ’s fans!
This is what I love about JustJared. He deletes obnoxious posts from bloggers who cross the line, and when people point out something offensive to them or makes them very uncomfortable (like the previous title of this thread), he accommodates then and changes said offensive/uncomfortable item. And he provides all of us BAMZSers a nice, decent place to congregate at.

I’ve been meaning to post this for a little while and haven’t had the opportunity,
so here it is. I had the distinct privilege and pleasure of getting a sneak peek at
Andrew Dominik’s film ‘The Assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert
Ford’ and all I can say is:
Holy Sh*t.
It’s so close to being a full-fledged masterpiece, it literally had me sitting there,
saying things like ‘Where the hell has Casey Affleck been?’ He’s a LOCK for some
sort of major acting nod. Be it Globe, Oscar, something. Nobody comes out of this
movie without viewing that guy in whole other light. Mindblowing. I’m not
bullshi*ting you guys. He’s that good. And Brad Pitt has never been better in
a film. He too, should be lauded for what he accomplishes with that role. The
guy projects a menace I’ve never seen and goes very, VERY deep.
There are moments of still and utter silence between characters as tense and awkward and terrifying as anything you’ve ever seen. Andrew’s ability to just allow a scene to develop gradually and let the audience watch and observe without the need for rampant schisms of rocket propelled editorial breaks is the mark of a true master. If you saw and loved ‘Chopper’ then I can’t imagine you not falling head over heels for this flick.
We throw words around like ‘brilliant’ and attach greatness to things that in the
end don’t really deserve that level of praise…This one DOES.
I’m hoping Warner Brothers understands what this film can be and allows Andrew’s
cut to see the light of day. At nearly three hours it’s something of such sublime,
elegaic beauty and vicious intent, that I don’t think we’ll see a film like it for a long
time to come.

There are a lot of knowledgeable and interesting people who post on this site. But then again, this blogsite (like the world) has the good the bad and the ugly.
Is it possible for African Girl’s “The Rules” and kk1’s “Observations on different posters” to be brought over to this site? Can someone tell me how to do it? I’d really like to print them off together for future reference.

Thanks for the review, I really hope that WB don’t screw this movie up. All the reviews have been good so far and I hope they stick with the september release (which means it may have a shot at awards seasons).

Yesterday I watched the intro to Entertainment Tonight and I was reminded of Angie and Marcheline. Their relationship was private. She never once publicly betrayed or used her by writing a tell-all book or having a revealing interview about Angie. From the way Angie spoke of her, she sounded like a remarkable woman. Even though she wasn’t very public she clearly respected, cared for and loved her daughter.
I was reminded of them because Dina Lohan (Lindsay’s mother) actually invited ET’s cameras along when she visited Lindsay in rehab. Even though they both complain about the paparazzi there she is bringing cameras into what is supposed to be a private situation. :shock: It baffles me to see a mother acting the way that she is right now, especially her comment “I’m her mother not her keeper” This is the same woman that went out clubbing with her daughter well before she even turned 18! But she refuses to take any kind of responsibility for the way Lindsay has turned out.
This just brings me back to Drew Barrymore and her mother Jade. Today they are talking to one another but from what Drew (and her friends) has said they haven’t completely reconciled. During her youth she needed a mother but instead she got a “friend” much like Lindsay. During Drew’s come back Jade actually started competing with her. Drew posed for playboy, she went to penthouse. Then Drew went out with a rock star guy so Jade starts dating a guy that is Drew’s age! I wouldn’t be surprised of Dina and Lindsay end up the same way.
Although I’m not a parent, I can’t imagine treating my child the way that Dina and Jade have. These women have publicly exploited their children yet every decision that Angie makes as a mother is criticized and distorted by the media; it’s incredibly unfair. Personally, I think Angie is a great example of how children (adopted and biological) should be raised. I know parents who have adopted overseas yet they purposely don’t expose their children to homeland’s history and culture like Angie and Brad do. To block out the child’s heritage and history…it’s denying who he or she is as a person..and it’s admirable that Brad and Angie aren’t doing that with their kids.
One pap asks Brad how he and Angelina are doing and he says “Yeah, like I’m sure you really want to know”

I agree, Lohan has a lot of Drew in her, I’m not a fan but I can see how the kid got so screw up, the father in jail and her mother is just a classic example of crazy stage mom, who enjoys the money and the attention but not really for her daughter’s well.
OT 2 I was reading some parts of Katie Holmes interview with HB and Tom’s PR team did a great job with this one, Katie will be the minivan majority poster girl by the end of the year.

England breeds some great haters. I mean, those people can really hate.
brad and angie are two intelligent and kind-hearted people. brad loves this woman and his children. you can tell that brad has grown from a good boy to a grown man. i am so happy he’s found angie. i’ve been a brad fan since i saw him on thelma & louise, but i wasn’t too fond of any of the women he’s dated in the past. i didn’t get the sense that his past relationships were real. at the same time, i’ve always admired angie’s good heart with what she has done with her humanitarian work and as a mother to maddox. i wouldn’t say angie is perfect as none of us are perfect, but i can say angie is definitely a good woman, mother to her children and a good person at heart. it’s even better two great people are together!!!!!

I know awhile back I read about some Jesse James/old west historian/expert who was a consultant on the movie say that Brad’s role is a ruthless unsympathetic one and from what he saw, Brad was playing it true. The guy said he hoped the studio wouldn’t try to play down how not nice JJ was and from the sounds of the above review, sounds like they haven’t. I seem to remember he said something to the affect of the studio being nervous that people wouldn’t accept Brad so mean and cold. I will I will! :)

If it makes you feel better hating people from England - carry on … but as a fairly impartial observer and a lover of BAMZS - I visit JJ everyday usually in lurker mode and imo a lot of the racist comments and death threats come much closer to home namely the good old US of A.
I agree that Brad is just keeping the paps away from Angie. And the reality is, LIFE GOES ON. Everything just doesn’t stop because a loved one died. You still need to work, you still have commitments and obligations, that’s just how it is. And it doesn’t matter if you’ve got enough money in the bank to pay the bills like they do, I’m sure they have things that they are committed to that are on time schedules and you’ve just got to muddle through. I’m sure his mind is elsewhere, but he’s doing what needs to be done.
I just think this is soooo crappy though because they were finally just starting to come out as a couple and letting the world see their love. I mean Brad even got up and talked to Ryan Seacrest for heaven’s sake the channel that broke into their home and I’m sure now they are completely turned off to it all again and will keep themselves on the down low much more. I hope that’s not what happens, but you could see it being a possibility. The paps just don’t realize that if they would just give them some space and time right now they would get so much more out of it in the long run. It sucks, it really sucks. I wish they’d just let them be.

Love this post, and so true. Think about all the stars from bygone days who had serious issues, and pretty much everyone had a mother, not a keeper, and usually that mother was involved for their own end. Clara Bow, Judy Garland, Liz Taylor. All of them had mothers with $igns for eyes, and their little moneymakers were so messed up people thanks to their moms. Angelina thank God had a wonderful loving, nurturing mother who put her kids first and didn’t use them to puff up herself.

Gosh I just watched that video on Splash and I’m in tears. I don’t know how he handles it, he’s literally getting treated like some freak show with them just snapping away and he’s like a caged animal who just can’t get away. As for Jesse James, I’m sure they pushed it back several times now because if it is that good they want to make sure it comes out at a time that it will be in the running for award season. It just really sounds like it will be amazing. I think this is where there is a disconnect between Angelina & the media. the last thing they have to reference is the time before she lived in England. they always say they can’t forget the “vial” wearing Angelina AND BILLY BOB. But after the divorce and her move to the English countryside. You really had to pay attention to the international celebrity magazines such as Hello & Royalty to know what she’s been up to. Also when she came back to the US it was for premieres of films she was involved in or had a link to and she was slightly under the radar. She was really active as a UNHCR back then but it was barely mentioned in the US press. That’s why the disconnect happens when the mainstream media starts saying she JUST started doing the humanitarian thing, they do profiles now on this subject and the snarky bloggers call her Saint and saying she’s trying to save the world, etc…where have these people been? Jessica said that right after Nick proposed to her, her father said something along the lines of “Your career is over”. He is supposed to be her father first and foremost! I would have been thrilled to know that my child is in love and has found a good person to settle down with but not “Papa Joe”
With Dina though, she has another daughter to think about. Ali (Lindsay’s younger sister) said that she wants to follow in her big sister’s footsteps, career wise. But Dina is in denial about how her decisions has affected Lindsay and it just looks like she’s bound to repeat the same mistakes with Ali.
Marcheline truly did love her children just like Angie does. Unlike Papa Joe and Dina, these two actually put the well being of their children ahead of their own needs. So many child stars have fallen because of their parents yet the new generation (and their parents) have ignored the mistakes of their predecessors. Thankfully, Marcheline didn’t and even though Angelina had a difficult youth, she never blamed her mother. Instead, she learned from her mistakes, and became a caring, generous and compassionate woman. Drew Barrymore is another woman who has overcome a lot in her life. Only time will tell if Lindsay and other stars like her will turn out the same way.

I’m American, raised Protestant, both of my parents were American Protestants, and they were both cremated at their own request. My husband is English, Belgian Catholic mother, English father converted to Catholicism, both requested cremation. My husband and I have both stipulated cremation in our Wills. I don’t criticize or judge anyone else for choosing burial, it is truly a personal choice, but it isn’t something that I could ever consider for myself.

Speaking from personal experience, I know more and more people who are specifying cremation instead of burial. Personally I think burial is a waste of perfectly good real estate and in 100 years some a.s.s.h.o.l.e developer is going to dig your ass up for a new suburb anyway, so you might was well get cremated so you don’t have to haunt some jerk later on. JMHO natch.

I pointed out at the time that there’s really no need to “label” anyone, but I don’t think it was really heard. Generalizations about ANY group of people are what lead to stereotypes etc. Life is rarely black and white, but many shades of grey.
BAMZS has fans from all over the world and from what I can see they are well represented here! This is a big part of why I keep coming to JJ and I’d be very sad to see anyone leave because they felt they were being marginalized or misunderstood (including bashing a fan for having poor English - which I saw just 2 days ago). Here’s another Observation I see - There’s a Back-Firing on the Jolie-Pitt Smear Campaign:
It’s Ironic, the Haterz and the Media-Tainters have this all-consuming desire to bring this couple down because of the all-consuming hatred that their readership: the Golden Couple fans, have. However, this is back-firing because the vast majority who are forced onto this journey don’t care and didn’t care in the first place. If anything, the vast majority who could care less are being forced to learn about Pitt and Jolie (who weren’t fans in the beginning) and now are beginning to care and take notice of all the good acts and great personalities the two as individuals have (and the fans have known all along) - thus, the BAMZS fans and supporters.
In the beginning, there are the Pitt fans and the Jolie fans who have grown and evolved as they did. These fans know who Pitt and Jolie really are and can easily defend them without blinking.
However, there was the Golden Couple fans that wanted an embodiment of the good-oldfashioned American values. Obviously, up to this day there has been no one to fill those shoes leaving quite a void for a generation to emulate and thus feeding their helplessness.
And, the rest of the population that could care less or have better things to do than worry about Hollywood. These are the guys who say they want their media back and don’t want anymore bombardment of all this soap-opera.
The Golden Couple fans felt betrayed and have used the media-tainters and cyber-haterz (just for the sake of hating) to carry their cause and annoyingly fill our public space with their un-original, same-o-same-o, tiring tirades about what is wrong with Pitt and Jolie.
When people (this is the vast majority who could care less) say ‘they are tired of the triangle’ or ‘they are tired of this couple’ - what they are really saying is the same as Pitt and Jolie have been saying - they are tired of the whiners tracking and commenting on their daily lives. The reason their lives are being tracked - so that the Golden Couple fans can be there when (which is the only consolation prize they have left) the two break-up.
That’s why we are on Year 2 and there is no sign of that happening and their utter desperation for taking the vast majority on this fruit-less ride.
The Pitt and Jolie true fans know this from the beginning and have tried to save the Golden Couple fans as well as the vast majority of people they have taken on for a ride involuntarily the wasted time and trouble .

However, I noticed that some people only want to believe the bad things about BP and AJ and not the good. BP and AJ are good humanitarians and have done good work throughout the world as well as the USA. They have done good work in Namibia and the people there appreciate them. Whether they visited again is up to BP and AJ and the people of Namibia. However, they are highly regarded there as well as different countries throughout the world. I feel so horrible for these people. I hope the fascination and curiosity about their relationship will die down as soon as possible. It must be a miserable existence to be stalked and goggled at everytime you leave your house. The paparazzi need to find some shiny new toy very soon. These celebrities need some kind of protection from these people. These “photographers” need to have some sort of credentials or something and there need to be rules in place. It’s completely out of control now. These tabloids and gossip shows only make it worse.
Fans do not have the right to, nor need to know every detail about a persons life. If I want to know something about my favorite celebrity, I am more than happy to get information from the interviews they give in legitmate publications such as Variety or Esquire, etc. The climate is changing in so many ways and not for the better. The government is gonna have to step in at some point and start making some changes. If not them, then maybe the Screen Actor Guild can try to establish some control over the situation and at least try to protect their actors. That way paparazzi and the tabloid mags and shows will be reduced to talking about musicians, beauty queens, and heiresses. I hope things get better for these two someday soon. They could certaintly use it.

What’s ironic is through shear dumbness of the Golden Couple fans’ hatred they have actually made Pitt and Jolie become so much bigger and American mainstream than could ever be imaginable.
In Hollywood standards, the two are not just cults but now legends.
The quiet, steadfast, family-minded Westerner and the caring, giving Humanitarian are now the embodiment of All-American. All positive images that any individual would like to be.
These are trying times for Pitt and Jolie but their character in handling all this maelstrom thrown at them make them the epitomy of the underdogs that all Americans love to root for.
So in many ways, there are many who are envious and in awe for the unique stratosphere that these two (as individuals) have obtained within their lifetime - suchas Bogart, James Dean, Brando (just in Hollywood) but know they couldn’t even if given that opportunity. Because in the end, it takes character which these two have plenty.
All the Golden Couple fans have to be proud to have in their company, Media-tainters that you can’t remember their names (NYT who??) and cyber-Haterz, ahh - just laughable that they can form syllables.

I’m facinated by the facination. The response to this death, sure expected some responses from both sides of the spectrum. Of course it’s the internet so there will always be some crazy’s. But this is overwhelming, the famous people in this scenario did not pass (thank goodness) but their Mom (rest her soul) did. I can not remember the last time a family member of a famous person recieved so much attention from the media. Family members of world leaders or the world leaders don’t receive this much attention. Every move is tracked and you can see why they go public with charity work they do, look at the attention it will get (regardless of likeing them or not) the charity or issue gets time in the spot light. That can be a heavy burden to bare, especially becasue of down side that they are experiencing now.

Here you have this man whom marries this woman and pledges his life to her and promises to remain faithful and loving, through good times and bad.

Mediterranean - I asked Lainey why she hadn’t mentioned Angelina’s mother and she informed me that she hadn’t done so out of respect for Angelina & Brad’s wish for privacy. And the funny thing is that the stupid cow actually believed what she was saying. I thought of the same thing myself, maybe if they just have an occasional press conference and photo ops with the kids, maybe the papz would let them be. But then what about Britney, who allows herself to be photographed all the time and yet there’s still chaos when she goes out, and that is EVERY NIGHT! And same with Paris and Lindsay.

She seems to have really turned her life around, when her and Brad hooked up I thought he better not mess with her, she’s a mom, so he better be there for now. It’s this tragic stuff that can bring those old habbits back. She needs the support of all in her inner circle. If she was as close to her mom as people say this is going to be really difficult. Maybe the positive could be she mends things with her Dad, these’s gotta be a weird love/hate thing going on there that has to be hard to deal with. She’s strong, she’s proved it by the changes she made, but she will still need a lot of support.

CLINIQUA, how about when Karen casually asked her about having feelings for Jim and she bluntly said “Oh Yeah!” And she didn’t notice it until Karen pointed it out. So awkward…. It is a shame - I’ve been through it myself (not publicly of course!) but it is the hardest decision a child can ever make. Sometimes it has to be done in order to get healthy and stay healthy though. It’s just frustrating that so many people pass judgment on Angelina for it though, when they don’t understand. Just my two cents on that. :-) Best as I can tell, James supports Angelina in that decision and doesn’t have much to do with him either… probably for similar reasons. It seems that JV didn’t start coming around until he realized just how successful Angelina was becoming as an actress, and I truly think he was using her to keep himself relevant in the media. He still seems pretty hungry for a soundbite, even now that he’s cut out.

During this week, all the pictures that surfaced are mostly Brad, Brad in motocycle with the helmet, Brad coming out of his office, etc.
We DON’T see (or hardly) any pictures of Angie or anything related to the family.
Think, the pictures which the photogs took are NOT that interesting. How much or how many pictures can these paps sell? No much !!!!
So in that sense, I said Brad won.
He managed to let the photogs take pictures of him, in SIMILAR clothing, in the SAME office building In short, the paps did NOT get any good “money shot”.
Brad, you executed brilliantly . I salute to you.
Can we talk about positive things that can make us learn and grow from these experiences?

Best as I can tell she gave JV a second chance (Tomb Raider era) and he just messed it up, so why go through it again. It is a hard decision, but in many ways it isn’t that difficult to emotionally detach when they haven’t been around for most of your life and don’t really “know” you. My mom raised my brother and I and for many years we were like the three Musketeers, so I really feel for Angelina and James at this time. When you only really bond with one parent I think the bond is much stronger, so they must be just devastated, even knowing it was coming.
I’m glad that Angie has her own new family to comfort her and I’m sure James has lots of love and support from them all. The Pitts seem like a tight knit fam and I’m sure have been wonderful throughout.
I can imagined BP riding his motorcycle to his office and then going out the back way in another car. He is back home with AJ and hours later he returns to his office. Meanwhile, the paps have been waiting for hours, hungry, mad and anxious for that money shot.
BP has been handling his business and the Paps are upset. They can make all the snide captions they want, the fact is they have not gotten the shots they were counting on. Lies and Style, Outa Touch, US weekly and Star Magazine cannot make up all these lies surrounding AJ. BP is willing to be the bad guy because he loves AJ that much.
I get the feeling that Brad keeps going back and forth to his office to keep the razzies distracted from Angelina. This way they can get pictures of Brad so the papz don’t become too anxious to get a picture, while Angelina can remain safely at home with friends and family comforting her and Jamie.
It breaks my heart to see how the vulture paprazzies are treating Brad this way but at the same time, I admire Brad’s restraint and patience in dealing with this kind of frenzy. It takes a weak hearted person to lose their cool and attack someone. It takes a man with strong secure, confidant personality to not lash out at his detractors and to carry on through the adversity he faces. Brad is definitely the latter one.
For all those people saying, Brad is a wuss for not jumping the papz, it only shows what YOU would have done in that situation. You might have lost your temper and let these slimebags get the best of you. Thank God Brad is not you.
I wish my condolences to Angie, James, and Marcheline’s friends and close ones. From the little I know about her, she seemed to be good hearted woman. ITA. Actually being one’s biological parents do not transform people into “parents’ in the true sense of the word. It doesn’t take much to create a baby but it takes a whole lot to raise that child. Parents who skip out on their kids and then return on a whim years if not decades later really have no right to expect a warm welcome from those kids, much less instant love and respect. That has to be earned and will have to be earned with more time and effort given the abandonment issues that need to be overcome first.
Toxic is a good word. When a person, family or friend, poisons your life and makes you miserable and cuts at your self-esteem, there is no point to keep that person around except for masochistic reasons. If Angie never cut off her dad when she did, she may not have had the chance to grow into the wonderful person that she is today.
Marcheline was an amazing woman and her absence will be felt greatly.
My heart goes to Angie, Brad, James, JP children and Macheline relatives.
I wilL always support the Jolie-Pitt’s family. Praying God be with them always.

Some of us are from other countries and we are shocked by the use of the word “hate” used on the blog. “Dislike” might be a better term.
Letting you guys know of my trip to the nearest large international newstand. The people near the celebrity section were mesmerized by the new People magazine with Angelina on the cover and her going through sadness. First of all I have to say, Angelina is one gorgeous woman ok? That cover proves it. It’s the one taken in India wearing a pashmina.
No one was picking up the tabs like OK or Star or Life & Style. I saw people come in from outside and head straight for People magazine. I get in in my office so I didn’t buy. But Angelina was on the cover of so many magazines, it must be some record. Brad was on none (this week) maybe next week though with all these new pics showing up. . The thing is that she didn’t even pose for them. I would love to know if someone keeps track of sales. She must sell magazines right?Isn’t this kind of coverage usually reserved for young & hip & single? She’s a woman in a committed relationship and a mom of three. That’s exciting? For fans it must be but I would think for others it must be a bore to read about. I also overheard some snark and it shows you that no one knows anything. One girl mentioned to her friend she didn’t know why B&A were even at the GG and why Angelina (not Brad) moved to NO. the idiocy of some people is astonishing. So people, don’t respond to haters cuz they don’t know anything.
AJ has been doing her UN work since 2001. She was rasing Maddox by herself doing this time. The media wants to harp on things that happen in her early twenties and some people chooses to bring up her past every chance they get. It is a wide disconnect between where AJ is now and where the Media wants her to be as Frenchy stated. The media and critics do not want you to grow up and learn from your mistakes. All they can say is “not so long ago” AJ was doing this. However, they do not realize that AJ had turn her life around long before BP. Her fans have been following her progress along the way. They shared in her travels by reading her Journals. They cried with her while watching her video diaries and UN speeches. Through her UN work, her fans got involved also. Thanks. I can’t donate alot, since I’m short on cash right now. Anything I can do to help, I will. I wanted to say one thing I learned from watching these two is to take action, not just talk words about donating and helping, but actually do it. I’ve become more concious about that now. I used to be one of those people who agreed with the idea of helping others but didn’t do much. My sister used to be annoyed with me because I would come here often, but she’s backed off now since she realizes it’s not a stalker fixation, rather an admiration of two people cotinuing to do good in the world, while so many are bent on destroying it.

Couldn’t have said it better. I’ve always followed what AJ was up to, but when she started her UN work and adopted Maddox, that’s when I really perked up and noticed her. I remember the pictures of her and Maddox in a park (NYC I think?) and they seemed so happy together just playing away - to heck with having a man at that time!
I’m the first to admit that I used to gobble up all the “Golden Couple” hype throughout that time as well, but soon realized that it was a vacuous union. Bono once said on Oprah that BP had called him, invited him over for dinner, and asked what he could do to help (re: Africa) and that really impressed me. I honestly think though that he was being held back to a certain extent by JA in following his heart where humanitarian issues are concerned, and I believe it is part of the reason that they did not work as a couple - different values.
The fact that AJ and BP made their way into each others lives is pretty amazing to me still!
Guli, I don’t think Lainey meant she’s going to hosta show with Seacrest. She said she’s going to be “channeling” him. She’s trying to say that Seacrest hosts any gig he can get. So Lainey, like Seacrest is going to be hosting a show. I used to like Lainey but not anymore. She’s gotten too b-tchy and is rude to the fans. Her comments make her sound a little to vain for me to like her but I don’t think she’s going to host the show with Seacrest.

I agree with you that it is very odd that Lainey hasnt said anything about Marcheline’s passing. Im not a big Lainey fan or anything but that definitely disappointed me.
Yikes…what happened? I’m starting to think the Full Moon Friday (#218) may be right about the loons escaping from the asylum. We had such a nice thread earlier and it’s like a backlash against that restraint. I hope that the real BAMZS fans can reclaim this thread.
I hope that either this report or the last rumour about Marcheline being buried on Tuesday is true and that this madness surrounding Brad and Angie can end. I don’t want to see two people mourning. It’s a shame that they can’t mourn in privacy. I hope that they go back to NO where there aren’t many paparrazzi soon.
Personally, I think both Brad and Angie will come through this stronger, more in love, and more committed to one another.

You are correct Leni - Lainey basically said “much ado about nothing” and I was grateful for that. I’m guessing that she hasn’t posted on it out of respect. Which isn’t to say that I think Lainey is a huge fan of theirs (Fishsticks is her idol after all) but she knows not to tread too heavy where they are concerned. I disagree. I think that Lainey is not mentioning it as a sign of respect. If one pays attention to what she has shared about herself and her Chinese background one gets a sense of her being raised being taught strong values and that includes family and death of one’s parent. Not wanting to disrespect Angie’s mother by using her death and daughter’s grief to feed the gossip hunger of the public is something I personally appreciate.

I’ve also noticed that there’s been no entertainment shows running the story. It hit me today that I hadn’t seen any, and then I thought “well waddaya know, could it be out of an actual sense of respect?”

Actually I’m not all that familiar with Lainey except with what people bring in to these threads so I can’t participate in the discussion whether she’s good or bad or whatever–she seems to have the people on this board split and I’ll let the debate rage between those who actually seem to know a lot about her.
Anyway, I’m just pleasantly surprised a gossip blog is taking (or says they’re taking) the high road on this topic. The fact that the message was delivered privately via an email to one reader kind of impresses me in that she’s not tooting her own horn and being self-righteous by mentioning it on her site so as to make her appear better than the other blogs. I would say I’d reserve judgment on her but am too lazy to try to keep up with and analyze her site in depth so I’ll wait for reports form others instead. You could be right QQQQ.

When Shiloh was born, that was a news item too wasn’t it… but no LAMEY had to turn it into PR… Brad planning the c-section to coinside with the release of the DVD so he could make additional money off it…. but death is just just… nothing she can do with that, so she keeps quite…. yeah she’s really respectfull alrigh??

See my personal conspiracy is that Lainey had a source close to the Jolie Pitts and that’s why she had so much information to talk about early on. Someone must have found out about the source and told them to stop feeding information to Lainey. Because now Lainey doesn’t have any new gossip about them except for the spin she puts on stories that people have already read about. So maybe she is bitter that her source for info about the Jolie Pitts got cut off and that’s why she has been more b-tchy towards them in the recent past.

Oh I agree 100% that the Beckhams cannot replace B&A but I really would like them to act as a lightning rod for papparazis right now and dominate gossip headlines so B&A can get a break from the nuts. :)
Lola- I have heard too how the Beckhams are going to replace BAMZS in the paps competition to be the most intrusive.
However, it is different when you are Posh and sticking yourself everywhere to get your picture taken. BAMZS is hard to get a pic of lately and they will always be more desirable. Beckham is not too bad to look at though. Love his tattoos.

I’m not the biggest fan of Lainey but I enjoy her sense of humor just like I enjoy defamer (even when both of them take digs at Brad or Angelina, it’s part of the game). and I think it was better to not mention the news of angelina’s mom, for me it was a sign of respect. Just my opinion.
