It’s not a big deal. He has his own company, like a CEO (he is a CEO technically), when you look at it that way it doesn’t seem odd that he needs to take care of biz stuff.

Toxic parents - some people are toxic, so why not toxic parents? Being parents do not automatically transform people into saints. Last checked there are really no qualifications for becoming/being a parent. Perhaps JV started to assert his so called “parenting rights” and his children said to him too late, you’ve lost that right the day you skited your responsibility as our parent.

ITA. Actually being one’s biological parents do not transform people into “parents’ in the true sense of the word. It doesn’t take much to create a baby but it takes a whole lot to raise that child. Parents who skip out on their kids and then return on a whim years if not decades later really have no right to expect a warm welcome from those kids, much less instant love and respect. That has to be earned and will have to be earned with more time and effort given the abandonment issues that need to be overcome first.

Toxic is a good word. When a person, family or friend, poisons your life and makes you miserable and cuts at your self-esteem, there is no point to keep that person around except for masochistic reasons. If Angie never cut off her dad when she did, she may not have had the chance to grow into the wonderful person that she is today.

Sorrow comes in waves out of the blue - one moment you are fine doing whatever and then an overwhelming rush of sadness floods over and eventually passes. The time between bouts get longer and the wave gets shorter. There will always be the sting of wanting to talk to and share something but it okay.

Letting you guys know of my trip to the nearest large international newstand. The people near the celebrity section were mesmerized by the new People magazine with Angelina on the cover and her going through sadness. First of all I have to say, Angelina is one gorgeous woman ok? That cover proves it. It’s the one taken in India wearing a pashmina.

No one was picking up the tabs like OK or Star or Life & Style. I saw people come in from outside and head straight for People magazine. I get in in my office so I didn’t buy. But Angelina was on the cover of so many magazines, it must be some record. Brad was on none (this week) maybe next week though with all these new pics showing up. . The thing is that she didn’t even pose for them. I would love to know if someone keeps track of sales. She must sell magazines right?Isn’t this kind of coverage usually reserved for young & hip & single? She’s a woman in a committed relationship and a mom of three. That’s exciting? For fans it must be but I would think for others it must be a bore to read about. I also overheard some snark and it shows you that no one knows anything. One girl mentioned to her friend she didn’t know why B&A were even at the GG and why Angelina (not Brad) moved to NO. the idiocy of some people is astonishing. So people, don’t respond to haters cuz they don’t know anything.

I so agree, it’s such a vile word and is used to often, just a bad habit for some.

She was rasing Maddox by herself “during” this time.

I like lainey. Though I did not see any condolences from her site, it does NOT mean she is not sympathetic. Think, she did not post any pictures of Angie nor did she make sarcastic comments during this period of time on this family. I believe she is fair. I also believe she likes this family.

As for tmz, I do NOT have any kind words to say about them. tmz favors over certain people and are biased over others.

Sorry to tell you Lainey SOLD OUT, thats why she never commented on AJ’s mothers death. The reason is: she sold her chinese **** off (her words NOT MINE)…. Take a look what she is hosting what, with whom . I said nagative things re Lainey two months ago and BAMZS fans got on my case but here it is folks….Read and weep about Lainey!!!!!

Couldn’t have said it better. I’ve always followed what AJ was up to, but when she started her UN work and adopted Maddox, that’s when I really perked up and noticed her. I remember the pictures of her and Maddox in a park (NYC I think?) and they seemed so happy together just playing away - to heck with having a man at that time!

I’m the first to admit that I used to gobble up all the “Golden Couple” hype throughout that time as well, but soon realized that it was a vacuous union. Bono once said on Oprah that BP had called him, invited him over for dinner, and asked what he could do to help (re: Africa) and that really impressed me. I honestly think though that he was being held back to a certain extent by JA in following his heart where humanitarian issues are concerned, and I believe it is part of the reason that they did not work as a couple - different values.

The fact that AJ and BP made their way into each others lives is pretty amazing to me still!

The common thing in this world and in our lifes is change, how we react, deal and move on says more about a persons character than anything. When people are going through change is the most telling and interesting time to observe them.

Some of you might be happy to know that it seems that people out there are starting to share your sentiments that they should be left alone. If you look at other gossip blogs… perez, tmz, etc., the consensus is that paparazzi are crossing the line. Maybe this will turn into a paparazzi backlash and the NYT will write about it and get national attention to the issue of invasion of privacy.

Funny, but the numbers seem to have been changed so pardon me please if I’ve addressed the wrong people in my responses. Thank you.

I agree with you that it is very odd that Lainey hasnt said anything about Marcheline’s passing. Im not a big Lainey fan or anything but that definitely disappointed me.

Chill Guli - Canadian Idol is auditioning here in Vancouver this week and they have an event where the media comes out and does their best audition for a laugh - Ryan Seacrest isn’t there with her!!! We have our own judges and our host is Ben Mulroney. Like Syd said, she’s “channeling” him - just a joke!!

By the way Syd - I agree on your take. She’s on our local news quite often and in all frankness I think she’s gotten a little too big for her britches lately. Plus, I think she tries to imitate Perez too much with stupid words like gorgessity, and the ever prevelent “Non?” She’s about as French Canadian as I am, and even the Quebecois don’t speak like that!
