Puh-leeze. Nic hasn’t seen those kids for more than an hour or two at a time for at least the last 2 years. I like Nic…but she ain’t never gonna win no “Mother of the Year” awards. She’s pretty much worked around the clock for the last few years. And her buying a new husband with drug and alcohol problems sure hasn’t left her much free time to spend with her kids.

LMAO at the convos this evening. I gotta say that I agree with the sentiment that the media/press can’t get a handle on Angelina. They can’t figure her out and it’s making everyone crazy. The tabs are trying to create someone that does not exist. She’s in locales that regular Hollywood folks aren’t. The media created this notion of Angie “stealing” Brad so add that in addition to her past behavior with her ex husband, they are expecting a sex bomb. Instead they see mommy Angie wearing elegant but mommy type gowns on the red carpet. Brad adds to this by kissing her on the forehead all the time. Questions asking about what they do after they put the kids to sleep and what do they have in the morning are responded with “we just go to sleep” and “cereal”. The media is dumfounded. They are also flumuxed at how chatty Brad & Angie are at events like God Grew Tired of Us premiere, TGS premieres and Babel events. Oh that’s right..they are actors. Or about Global Green project or World Refugee day. The media is like WTF? Tell us how you get it on with each other! They hate that there’s nothing juicy to report on about this couple so they start creating scenarios that can match pictures that are out there. They put words in their mouths because Brad & Angelina are not saying what they want. After this week Brad & Angelina will try to get on with their lives as quietly as possible but that won’t due for the tabs. They will have to resort to creating stories and using that ever popular “source”. The media may be thinking Angelina is more like some bombshell but I see her more in the mold of Annette Benning, Robin Wright Penn, Goldie Hawn and Susan Sarandon. Those actresses are beautiful, strong, confident, maternal, smart, talented, compassionate and supportive of their partner’s careers.

So True…I think the media and other haters want to put her in a box. She doesn’t fit their definition or image of just a rebel, sex symbol, mother,, humanitarian, loving daughter to her mom, indifferent daughter (with her dad), etc. She is all those things and more and she easily goes from one image to the next. They want a one word label, which doesn’t work because she is complex. So, they take the easy way out and attack her. She is also attacked far more than other woman because she puts herself in the spotlight for her causes. She is far more open and frank than any of the other woman.

Full Moon Friday mentioned Jane Fonda. Lordy I’m revealing my age, but she was also attacked quite a lot when she was in the spotlight. It only died down when she stepped away. Maybe they feel threaten by strong women.

Frenchy, nice post and so true. The funny thing is even when Angelina is telling the media the truth, they ignore what she’s saying and they continue to write about their illusions. The image they create, just doesn’t exactly fit her in any particular area. Brad Pitt is the one who really knows her and he has accepted her and he loves and supports her unconditionally.

What’s funny about this is that they’ll all espouse how Angelina is one of the only celebrities that tell the truth. Yet, they ignore her when it doesn’t fit their storyline.

Lies are easiest to tell and sell. The truth hurts and not in a bad way necessarily, just in a bad way for sales. The tabloids have their soap opera storyline going on and when the truth isn’t salacious or that interesting, well, then, they do their version of The Days of Their Lives. If Brad and Angelina had as much drama as these tabloids create, they couldn’t function, no one could.

As Brad said of Angelina, she is one of the most perceived people by the press that he’d ever met. And she is and it’s their loss. So, when they’re all scrambling trying to figure things out because it didn’t go according to their storyline, Brad and Angelina are so far ahead of them, they start at square one again. Then we get the same recyclced b.s. all over again. You know, in 50 years, maybe, they might be right about a few things and they can all say, you heard it hear first.

No, we heard you the first 200 hundred times, that you got it wrong.

Is there a movie Angie is going to promote in next few months?

She was suposed to be at the Berlin Film Festival this month, but I really don’t know if she’s still going.

I cannot believe that you people ‘fans’ are angry and whining because some gossip writer did not write about Angie’s mum passing away. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU.
I’m a Jolie-Pitt fun and I think that Angie’s mothers death does not have a place on a GOSSIP BLOG (I repeat) GOSSIP BLOG. This could have been discussed among the fans hidden under a random pic of Brad and Angie. More appropriately are the fan sites and there are many to choose from if I’m not mistaken.
This week the tabs will be filled with inaccurate and sometimes insensitive stories about:
Marcheline’s death wish
Did Jon Voight attend the funeral
Different unnamed sources with their convenient quotes
Etc..etc

This has no place in gossip magazines and blogs and if you people cannot see that then there is something wrong.

Newspaper and real news sites (i.e. cnn) coverage is fair enough but the rest is inappropriate.

I’m glad that other sites like lainey and defamer aren’t covering it because its not gossip and that’s what you people need to remember.

Sometimes some of the posts on this site gets too irrational. You need to take a deep breath before you react to certain things.

My take is if Lainey didn’t want to put any comments out on Marchelines death in her gossip blog - because she didn’t think the news should be in a gossip blog, out of respect for marcheline - and intent is everything here. I’m OK with it. If she had written, a couple of simple sentences extending her condolences to Angelina, James, Brad and their families for their loss, as a show of respect, that would have been OK. Its all about intent.

Andromeda. I hope you have a wonderful time with your brother. I don’t know anything about addiction (except for my addiction to JJ’s blog on BAMZS:) but I do think you are doing the best your can for your brother and I hope that your hopes for him will work out.

Thank you for being voices of reason regarding this retarded issue that Guli brought up. Seriously - you’ve had an e-mail now from Susie and Passing Through both stating that Lainey didn’t write anything out of respect (and her response is consistent). So clearly you are not going to believe her and that is now YOUR PROBLEM. If you can’t let it go then I think it’s time you step back from the computer and take a look at how this site is affecting your reasoning and logic. This is like arguing with the BAMZS haters - giving them a quote, direct from the horses mouth no less - and they won’t believe it! And we all know how frustrating THAT is. I will say this one more time - as a fellow Canadian I can understand exactly why she didn’t post anything about it on a gossip blog - it would have been considered disrespectful - the story draws hits to the site and then she’s making money off of someone’s death - don’t you get that? If you can’t wrap your brain around that thought then that is YOUR PROBLEM.

For you to say “The gossipist doth protest too much.” is just plain nuts - you’re the one harassing a blogger about what she posts about - she’s responding to YOU, not the other way around - and quite frankly it’s just plain PSYCHO - you’re taking it too far and embarassing the rest of us that love BAMZS. I never thought in a million years I’d be defending LAMEY on a gossip blog, but there is some truth to what she’s saying - sorry YOU can’t see it.

I come here to post on a fairly regular basis and I don’t keep the same name all the time - and I’ll tell you why: because I don’t want to be lumped in as a regular with some of you nut bars - you just go too far. From what I can suss out, I’m probably not the only one who does this either. The people I connect with most on here are fans of BAMZS, but more importantly of their humanitarian efforts and the fact that this amazing family isn’t afraid to tackle tough issues like refugees and the environment. The fact that they are movie stars who make great movies is icing on the cake, but I’d be a fan of theirs no matter HOW they made their money to fund the humanitarian efforts that are so important to them.

One last thing - I see Lainey on my local news all the time and trust me - girlfriend is NOT wearing Gucci and Prada. She’s not THAT successful. But it won’t stay that way if you keep giving credence to her blog and bringing her up on this site. Use your brains and judgment people!

I agree with you. I think people take things too far on here sometimes too. I’ve even seen people boss Jared around, demanding that he take stuff down they find offensive that isn’t really offensive at all. For example the Angelina’s Ashes title which was simply a clever title that alluded to the movie Angela’s Ashes. He was being clever that’s it, not disrespectful. I’ve seen that more than once and I’m always like WTF.

And the incessant Jennifer Aniston bashing is just too much to take anymore. It’s disrespectful to the relationship Brad and Angelina have as devoted parents and a committed couple to continue to insert Jennifer Aniston and her life into what going on with them. It’s a continuation of the triangle BS which does create tab drama and pushes the paparrazi to continue to photograph them. The tabs have made tons of money off of this as it is and I don’t want to participate in helping them make more. Plus I don’t care about Jennifer Aniston’s life. I don’t care if she’s fake. I don’t need lengthy analysis of her behavior. She has the right live just as everyone else, and even if I’m not her fan, I have no right to be that upset with her because she hasn’t done a damn thing to me.

As far as Lainey, why she is even discussed is beyond me. I went to her site because I heard of her on here and after reading her commentary I wondered why in hell is she given credence? This is some woman’s opinion. She obviously took PR 101 in college and is poorly applying it to what she sees in Hollywoodland, but she really doesn’t know what she’s talking about most of the time, so who cares if she pays respect or not. I don’t. The death of Marcheline isn’t gossip and Lainey is not really a fan, she’s just trying to make some side money and gain a little fame herself. Discussing her makes her more important than she really is.

In the new People there is a picture of Marcheline in 1973 with JV (page 56, one page into the article). She has center-parted hair, smiling, she’s looking to the left. Next to that there is a picture of Angie in 1991 with JV–center-parted hair, smiling, looking to the left. I was struck by the similarity between these two beautiful women and I’m sure some People photo editor was struck by the similarity in photos as well. When I was in journalism grad school we studied People’s photo editing and it is quite artful–something that is often overshadowed by the editorial content. But they did a beautiful job on the Marcheline photo spread.
